Maybe somebody can tell me if I am missing something but I read the entire thread and apparently somebody else found an exploit that was being gatekept by a certain party and published it. The method for finding involved AI. From then on it felt more of a tantrum than anything.

Exploits like this are important for the modding scene. To get a console to do something involving homebrew, it needs an entry point. There was one of these left and instead of holding off on reporting it so that everyone interested could take advantage, someone decided they'd go ahead and sell everyone else out to cash in on a bounty.

But the other guy knew of it, was using it. It would have been found eventually.
