Was going to say, fork an open source and fuck with it to your heart's content. Just don't try to be a contributor with LLM slop because you "had a great idea."

Some projects are adding a rule: PRs from outside contributors will be automatically denied if the idea has not been discussed and approved before on the repository issue/ticket system

Which is an extremely fair rule that shouldn't be an issue for anyone. Any person deep enough in the codebase to just write up their idea isn't an "outside contributor" and anyone else won't have the context to just whip something up blind anyways.

That's not what happened here. Dude was making a Linux project for PS5 based on an exploit. Exploit got reported and patched, so his project is now DOA because he's fucking dumb.

He's now ranting against "AI slop kiddies" because he assumes that's the only way they found the same exploit he was exploiting.

Yeah but the issue is that slop users automatically believe that any "solution/fix" they find with the slop algorithm is the greatest invention since the one of the wheel so...

Then imma write automation to use AI to detect AI slop PRs and auto-decline with the comment "do better."
