Just received my custom oec moissy from Tianyu. Sue was excellent to work with. First project from Tianyu and I’m very pleased! This is a 8mm oec in g/h color. 10k yellow gold. Size 6 finger. This is my first oec moissy and I can see why it’s such a popular cut!

hi! this is my first moissanite radiant cut. i have a oval so i know what that looks like and it's a legit. but it's my first radiant cut. does this look correct for the rainbow fire? because the top seems just like white sparkle to me! so i'm just looking for advice!

I am learning about Moissanite. I don’t understand what it means to “see” a double refraction. What am I looking for in identifying a mossy radiant-cut stone? I think the refraction is showing as those parallel bars in the pic that seem to “circle the center. The last picture is face down, and the cutlet is pointing up. I saw in other posts on this sub that you can identify a mossy because the facets of the point are doubled.

I’m thinking about getting a moissanite ring from Diamondrensu and wanted to hear from people who have owned one for at least 5 years. How has yours held up with everyday wear? Does the stone still look the same, and have you had any issues with scratches, cloudiness, loose stones, or the setting? Just looking for honest experiences from people who have had their rings for a while.

I'm not too worried yet but my partner is. We ordered a stock ring from Provence Gems just before the recent holiday was over. He got an email about a week ago saying they are working on the CAD. Should it even take this long for a stock ring set? We still need to tell them the size needs to be adjusted. This is our first time ordering from them.

I’ve been looking at 4mm round moissanites for a simple everyday pendant. Nothing fancy, just a small stone on a chain.

I originally wanted a bezel because I hate catching jewelry on sweaters, but now I’m wondering if the metal around the stone will make it look smaller than it already is.

I do graphic design for a living, so naturally I’ve spent way too long thinking about a couple millimeters of metal lol.

I’ve looked through older bezel posts here, but most of the examples are larger stones. Anyone have experience with bezels on really small rounds? Would you go with a thin bezel or just stick with prongs?

I just got engaged last week and absolutely LOVE my ring. It’s a tear shaped moissanite with a gold 1.3mm band. It’s super sparkly and seems like great quality. What I’m unsure about is the band size? It seems a little too loose when sitting in place and tends to move around quite a bit. However, I’ll have moments, like after waking up, when my fingers swell up and all of a sudden it fits too tight. I do have to wiggle it a bit to get it past my knuckles. Do you think sizing beads would help? 1st pic is what the ring looks like from the top, 2nd pic is it resting on my finger naturally, and the 3rd is to show the gap when I push on the ring from underneath.

I am one month postpartum with my fourth child and my platinum and diamond engagement ring will not be fitting for a while. So I decided to grab a replacement to wear in a larger size for a few months from Amazon. I was looking at cz but that led to moissanite and long story short I am obsessed!! It's literally like my dream ring! Fairly certain after I lose the baby weight I'm going to have a new ring custom made in platinum for my engagement ring!

I’m looking for a supplier where I can get a dark grey, almost black moissanite. most of the dark grey rings I see on here are not dark enough for my taste. I basically want it to be as close to black as possible while still having a little bit of that rainbow sparkle. Is this even possible or am I asking for something that doesn’t exist? I am not looking for a big rock, probably 1 carat or less but I’m not sure yet. I plan to get it in a bezel setting.

Hi! I just got my PSP and two things I’m noticing: 1) are the prongs uneven? And 2) is it typical for the stone to be so high out of the basket? It seems to me it could easily fall off but I don’t know anything and could be wrong. Any and all opinions welcome!!! Thank you!

Same as the title. I'm thinking of getting a moissanite tennis bracelet made in sterling silver since it'll cost me considerably less than white gold and I lean towards white metals so it's perfect. Just wanted to know if the silver's natural tarnish affects the shine of the moissanites. Can someone who has more experience with jewellery pieces like this give their opinion? Is it hard to take care of it? Should I save up to get it made in white gold instead? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while and decided to talk to Provence for my ring. I’ve gotten a video of a brilliant cut and also a crushed ice. I like that the crushed ice looks more like a diamond but am worried about it looking flat. But I don’t love the grey areas in the brilliant cut and it looks a bit like glassy to me. Thoughts?

Been restoring vintage carbon steel kitchen knives as a side project between design gigs, and got fixated on the idea of a small moissanite inlay or bolster accent. Something about how it throws light next to dark patina really grabbed me. Heat tolerance during handle assembly is my main unknown: epoxy seating versus mechanical setting. Would a small round-set stone survive the torque of actual use, or is this purely decorative masochism? Also curious if anyone has sourced calibrated small parcels (sub-2mm) without going full wholesale account. The coffee equipment budget already took a hit this quarter so trying to keep this sane.

Context: I’m planning to have my emerald cut reset to a plain cathedral setting mainly because I’m a gold girlie, I have warm undertone and mainly wear gold jewelry. I feel like the Silver pave ring is too out of my style given that I already have a half eternity emerald cut in silver in my stack. What do yall think?

My fiancee proposed with this moissanite ring 10 years ago and I’m still in love. I did upgrade to a lab diamond ring 4 years ago, but it’s not the same. I love this vintage/antique style so much!
