Notice - GD [Official] General Discussion Thread - October 16, 2026
Welcome to rMMA's General Discussion Thread!
Discuss your favorite fighters, the upcoming card or whatever's on your mind.
How to obtain a custom flair:
- Write a haiku or a MS Paint-style image (no AI images)
The rules for the drawing or haiku are simply that it must be a ridiculous MMA-related scenario. Send modmail with a link to your drawing and your flair request or tag Buzz in this thread. If your flair doesn't break any rules then we'll probably grant it.
Interested in modding? Please fill out the mod application found here. Do not leave a comment about this in the thread. You can send us modmail if you have questions.

Demetrious Johnson compares banning oblique kicks to NFL protecting quarterbacks: "It can ruin somebody's career. I don't do heel hooks and I don't do oblique kicks because there's another way I can take you out. I'll break somebody's arm because you have an opportunity to tap, right?"

Joaquin Buckley: "At least Colby tried to find better positions and commit damage. Usman did the same but it was more of a smothering tactic, & Brady was just holding on for dear life. If you're constantly just holding without doing damage or going for subs, the ref should be able to stand it up"

Fighters that aren't washed
For example Curtis Blaydes, I'm been seeing this narrative that Blaydes is washed, especially after the hokit fight. But hes 2-1 in his last 3, with his two wins against, Waldo and Kuniev who are probably the best heavyweights outside of the top 5. It's seems nowadays people just call a fighter washed if he loses to someone they dislike. Who are some other fighter that are getting similar treatment right now.
