There are necklaces that are similar that might be better. Friend tried rings once and the biggest issue was they aren't exactly sealed well and they would constantly wash their hands with the ring on and end up with weird wet pills when they remembered to take their meds.
The necklace on a long pendant chain helped them remember more, mainly because almost every time they sat at their desk or a table it would knock against it.
Oh yeah the hand washing would be a pain. Oh well. I used to use a mini altoids tin, but I decided I'd just refill an old pill bottle every few days. I don't like to carry much on me so I just take a few at a time.
