Discussion netease, why the cute witches didnt got cute "broom ridding" emotes? Specially Wanda!? The 3 fates/weavers theme is cool but... I think those emotes are pretty lame..
Shion even got a emote that she can move around while ridding a broom; Meanwhile, Sue and wanda are just standing, playing with weaver lights... again

Discussion What about adding a piority queue and a swap button ? ( if people still refusing the role queueu)
Hi , i wanted to share my ideas with you guys about the role queue argument people be doing lately , why instead add a piority queue like league for example you select 2 preferences roles like dps tank/strat , you are somewhat expected to have your first selected role for like 3 , 4 games out of 5 or smh this way ensures you get to play your main role for most of the games and solves the queue time on dps cuz you may be playing a tank for a dps main and that other dps main will play tank for you later , and we can add a swap button ingame that only works inside the base that you can swap with each others if things went bad

Discussion Unpopular opinion: A beautiful skin isnāt necessarily a good character design.
Iāve noticed that whenever someone criticises a skin for making a character unrecognisable, the discussion immediately turns into people mocking them or accusing them of being against creativity. But I think thereās a legitimate conversation worth having here.
Thereās a very fine line between reimagining a character and completely erasing their visual identity.
I genuinely love the idea of themed skins. Halloween, fantasy, mythology, futuristic designs, alternate universes. All of these offer incredible opportunities for artists to experiment with characters we already know and love.
And yes, I understand that characters can have different silhouettes, body proportions, hairstyles, outfits, and colour palettes. Iām not arguing that every skin should look like a slightly modified version of the default costume.
But hereās my question: At what point does a redesign stop being an interpretation of an existing character and become an entirely different character?
Take some of the Halloween skins, for example. Theyāre absolutely gorgeous. The artists have clearly put tremendous effort into them, and visually, theyāre impressive. But some of them look like generic fantasy characters who just happen to have the abilities of Marvel heroes.
I had a similar reaction to Cosmic Phoenix. Itās a beautiful design, but when I look at it, I donāt really see Jean Grey. I see a blonde woman with a supernatural spirit floating beside her. If you removed the characterās name and abilities, what would actually tell me that this is supposed to be Jean?
And thatās what bothers me.
Character identity isnāt just about having the same abilities or the same name displayed above your health bar.
Itās about visual storytelling. Recognisable features, personality, iconic elements, and the little details that make a character feel like themselves, even when theyāre placed in a completely different setting.
You can change a characterās hair colour. You can give them an entirely different outfit. You can reinterpret their aesthetic from the ground up. But there should still be a meaningful connection to the person theyāre supposed to
Otherwise, why not just create an original character?
And before anyone says it, Iām not asking for less creativity. Iām asking for creativity that works with a characterās identity rather than replacing it.
Some of the most impressive alternate designs are the ones that transform everything about a characterās appearance while somehow making them instantly recognisable. Thatās an artistic achievement in itself.
I also think we should be able to acknowledge that a skin is technically impressive, beautifully illustrated, and worth buying while still questioning whether itās a successful interpretation of the character.
Those opinions arenāt mutually exclusive.
Ultimately, I donāt think this should be controversial. We can appreciate the artists, enjoy the cosmetics, and still have a thoughtful discussion about character design.
A great themed skin shouldnāt just make you think, āWhat a cool character.ā It should make you think, āWhat a cool version of THAT character.ā
Iām curious where everyone draws that line. How much can a skin change before it stops feeling like the hero itās supposed to represent?

Discussion Any time I see a post complaining about Bucky I just assume you're terrible or a solo dive merchant
It's been like this for almost 2 years but Bucky was objectively top 3 DPS for maybe 3 or 4 months max (s1-1.5, s9-9.5), while people LARP like he's an untouchable God despite sporting a low 40s winrate in comp for most of his existence. The seasons where he's actually God tier he nearly approaches 50%
If you have trouble with Bucky you can just double dive him and delete him instantly because he has no mobility, or you can just go poke and delete him because he has no range. Moonknight especially just farms Bucky who stands behind tanks all game praying to hit an easily avoidable hook.
There are quite a few stronger DPS in the game from. each Archetype right now that mog him. Psylocke, DD, Wolverine, Elsa, Hela, Phoenix, and arguably Cyclops and Gorr all are vastly superior to him when it comes to actually winning games.

Discussion What would everyone here think of this system to add new heroes to the game?
I've been thinking about characters like Kate Bishop and Beta Ray Bill, who will likely never be added to the game even though there's a fanbase who'd really enjoy it and I might have thought up a solution. Think to Super Smash Bros' Echo Fighters, they have the same moveset as another fighter but different models and effects; I feel this could be quite a beneficial system for Rivals too. For example, Kate Bishop could be an "echo" of Hawkeye, same moveset but different hero page, model, and voicelines.
Some other "echoes" I've though up are:
Jane Foster/Mighty Thor for Thor
Beta Ray Bill for Thor
Ms. Marvel for Mr. Fantastic
Ironheart for Iron Man
Jocasta for Ultron
Enchantress for Loki
Yelena Belova for Black Widow
Agatha Harkness for Scarlet Witch
Carnage for Venom
Miles Morales/Ghost Spider for Spider-Man
I feel these could be a welcome addition to the game, bringing more variety quite easily

Discussion Moving to Overwatch dosent change much
So i have been seeing a lot of people saying they moved to Overwatch and its so much better and its so much more worth your time ( even some streamers)
But i have been trying it out ( last time i did was back in the first seasons after the overwatch 2 release) and honestly i cant see it, maybe i just need to get good so my mind is open but i dont see the difference
I can appreciate that the heroe kits are more creative and diverse but other than that its more or less the same , there is still unbalanced matches where its stomp or get stomped, there is still people going 3 dps in 6v6, there is still people getting mad at everything
Maybe some overwatch enjoyers in this sub can highlight why its currently better because i cant see it
Also the monetization is so much worse, everything is more expensive and you dont get nearly as much free currency

Discussion Am I crazy or are there more bots in QP?
Decided to try QP two nights in a row to unwind and I noticed something very odd to say? I was getting a bot game every other game win or lose. If the que time took remotely up to two minutes then I was just given a bot game. If it was one loss to real people then a bot game right after and if I won a game against real people then it was a bot game. I figured this might be because I havent played for maybe a week? I thought that I might have accidentally picked vs AI.

Discussion Does anyone else wish they would mass nerf everything?
I know they say the game is meant to be casual friendly and it seems like a side effect of that approach is to make every character feel strong.
Under the right circumstances, literally every character can feel oppressive. Some characters are able to do it more often than others, but its doable across the board. Right now there really is no āweakā hero. Itās just who is more OP at the moment.
I would love to see the game is a more competitive/serious state but I think the only way they could do it is to pretty much nerf everything and slow the overall damage/heals down.
I feel like I see the same heroes every match because theres just no point in playing certain things anymore.
The game isnt about skill or teamwork. Its about overpowering the enemy team by playing the most oppressive character for the situation.

Balance Discussion Player ratings/rankings
Players need to be able to rate teammates on a scale of 1-5 and that rating goes into comp match making. I had a DPS who literally said the flyers on the other team "wasnt his problem" and refused to swap of BP.
We do a 5 star rating system on everything else in life- Google reviews, Amazon, etc. With how terrible teammates are in this game I cant see why the devs dont implement it

Discussion Reality vs your ego.
In my last post, an overwhelming number of you said that the skill difference between eternity and OOA is massive.
I'm here to tell you, you're wrong.
Reality shows that GM1, Celestial, and Eternity players can all be competitive with each other.
All of the toxic people that try to call anybody GM or celestial hardstuck are just idiots. You would have a huge number of metal ranks and the rank distribution would look like a slide if the skill gap only increased as you reached OOA. Because of how close the gap is, nobody is capable of hard carrying alone in GM+ so stop acting like you're better than anybody else. If they are with someone that enables them, then they have a much better chance but solo queuers won't have that luxury.
Also, these ranks affect your quickplay games as well. The only problem is that NetEase views the skill gap as a line and not a slope. So you can 100% have a OOA with 5 P3 players vs a team of 6 P1 players in quickplay. Which is obvious to us that is unfair but that's how the matchmaking just works.
I would suggest to pushing feedback to scaling things similarly to the red line in the picture I posted. This would make quickplay feel nicer and more fair to play.
Edit: I was inspired to make this post to further validate the guy that reached Celestial the other day. I want him to know he achieved a huge goal and not let the toxicity of this community bring him down or make him feel inferior.

Discussion The toxicity and misinformation is killing this game.
Probably best to learn how to cooperate and to make compromises because the "Me-only" and homelander mentality is going to kill this game.
Downvote me all you want but it will only lead to you being alone with other toxic people.
You are going to drive everyone away over stances that are not even true.
