Discussion Joe Hahn wore clothes I designed. Then something even crazier happened.
I still can't believe this actually happened.
I'm an independent fashion designer from South Korea, running a small clothing brand.
Like many of you here, I grew up listening to Linkin Park. Their music was a huge part of my teenage years.
A while ago, something pretty surreal happened. Joe Hahn wore some clothes I designed.
Just seeing someone I'd admired since I was a kid wearing something I made was already more than I could have imagined.
But then, during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving), I got an Instagram DM from Joe himself.
He told me he was coming to Korea that weekend for a movie premiere and asked if I wanted to come.
I nearly lost my mind.
I replied immediately, thanking him and asking when and where it would be.
Seen.
No reply.
An hour passed. Then five hours. Then twelve.
Still nothing.
And because I apparently have absolutely no patience when it comes to Linkin Park, I booked a train ticket to Seoul.
I didn't even know what day the event was. š
At this point, I started wondering if I'd somehow said something wrong.
Eventually, I went digging through Korean Linkin Park fan communities to figure out his schedule.
And somehow, after all that, I actually got to meet him.
The guy whose music I listened to through my earphones as a teenager was suddenly standing right in front of me.
It was such a surreal moment.
I've been going through a difficult time with my brand lately, and I'd honestly been wondering whether I should keep going.
But this whole experience reminded me why I started creating things in the first place.
I never imagined that something I designed in my little studio in Korea would eventually reach someone who had such a big influence on my life.
Just wanted to share this with fellow LP fans.
Life is weird sometimes, in the best possible way.
And Joe, if you somehow happen to see this, thank you. You have no idea how much this meant to me.
