Discussion / Question Looking for Shelbourne stickers at Tolka Park

Hi everyone! I'm a football fan from Germany with a huge passion for the game, and I'll be visiting Dublin at the end of October. I'm planning to attend Shelbourne's match against Waterford at Tolka Park on October 30th.

I collect football stickers from clubs and fan scenes across Europe and would love to pick up some Shels stickers while I'm there. Does anyone know if there's a place to buy them at or around the stadium on matchday, or if any of the local supporter groups sell them?

I'm also curious whether football stickers are much of a thing in Ireland, especially among the different clubs' fan scenes.

I have a lot of respect for football supporters and ultras across all clubs, and I'd be happy to meet some local collectors. If buying stickers isn't an option, I'm also open to trading stickers from German clubs, or other Irish teams, with anyone interested.

Feel free to send me a DM. Thanks for any tips!

Discussion / Question Cork soccer

Over the past five years Cork Munster Senior League teams have won the FAI Intermediate Cup. The past five finals have all had Cork teams in it and the past two finals have been all Cork affairs involving four different Cork based clubs. The current holders of the FAI Intermediate Cup are in the 1st Division of Munster Senior League. Where are the Dublin based teams? Is it the fact that we’ve only one FAI team in Cork city whereas Dublin has a lot so anyone worth their salt in the capital is playing LOI? Or do Dubs prefer junior soccer, saying that, Coachford just won the FAI Junior Cup too. Is Cork amateur soccer just going through a purple patch?

Discussion / Question National League. Please explain.

Some one with more knowledge than me. I dont get it how can teams from Junior leagues join this like Killarney Celtic the. Donegal teams etc and suddenly be above intermediate teams from the Leinster or Munster senior leagues. So is the national league a higher or lower standard than the leinster senior league?

Bus full of Derry City ultras stopped at a petrol station on Saturday on their way home from Galway, absolutely destroyed the place with graffiti and let off flares in the car park. Really unnecessary vandalising a family owned business for the craic. You can see in the last 2 pics where it’s been attempted to be scrubbed off the windows of the shop.

📷 Photo / Image Kerry FC filed accounts for 2025 and lost just under €1m in that season. Unlike most clubs they give a little P&L data, turnover just under €0.6m with costs of €1.5m. Losses funded by fresh shareholder investment and €1.5m in the bank at 31/12/25. (via @chippie1974 on X)

Between this & the flare hassle you'd expect fines are on the way.

Article ‘The scope is there now’ – Stephen Bradley calls for Premier Division expansion ahead of showdown with Bohemians

Bradley joins John Caulfield in calling for a 12 team league.

I think if you get more National League clubs, and more importantly a few that can achieve a First Division license, then there's scope to expand the top tier.

Can't be a 33 game normal league either, as Kevin Doherty pointed out that makes it uneven for home/away fixtures, you'd have to do some sort of split during the season.

Discussion / Question Will Bohs Kick Back After Tonight?

Looking at the fixtures now it looks set to be more or less a 2 team race unless something crazy happens.

Obviously Bradley had a little dig at the Bohs staff tonight.

Does anyone else see a world where Bohs play their u20 squad for the final match vs …. Pats or am I thinking too much into it?🤔

A pre-1990 Dundalk FC XXL jersey! I really want to get my dad something he'll love for his 70th & Christmas. He's been a devout follower all his life, drinks out of a Dundalk mug every day. Great man, even better father.

Social Media Ultras - stop giving them oxygen

So sick of seeing bunches of anti social twats being referred to as ultras. They revel in it.

I really wish fans would stop calling them ultras as it only boosts their ego.

Scum is a much simpler term.

❔ Rumour / Transfer Talk Could Belfast Celtic resurrect or another team in the North and play in the LOI system like Derry?

Discussion / Question Anyone think theres any chance in Shane Duffy, Robbie Brady or Seamus Coleman comming back to Ireland to play LOI next season.

None of them have announced their retirement and are all still free agents. Derry might be wary following McClean and Duffy is fond of an auld twitter rant as well. Other than Derry hard to see where he'd rock up. Coleman to Sligo would be some Fairytale. You'd imagine if Brady could prove his fitness he'd have his pick of the Dublin clubs.

News Galway United OUT of FAI CUP

That was the worst I've witnessed United play in a long long time. We made Derry look like Barcelona in the 1st half. Dreadful stuff. And it felt like an away game even though it was at Deacy Park and not just because of the flares set off by Derry fans. They made more noise. I think most teams enjoy their trip to Galway. So disappointed ☹️

News Sale of Finn Harps scheduled to be complete on 4 December 2026

Pending FAI and Co-op Member approval.

Finn Park, the future stadium, and the Center of Excellence are not part of the deal.

The sale price is essentially the cancellation of loans Freddy Gonzalez gave the club.

Hopefully FAI and the members don’t get in the way of this.
