OFFICIAL USA JUGGER 2026 POWER RANKINGS

List is based on full lineup. No super-teams. I try my best not to single out any individual player.

  1. Space Dogs
  2. Phantoms/Nomad Goats

"Carried by Miggy"

A high power team that has withstood time, bringing a third first place finish. Managed to clear the Juggerlandia team pool by a wide margin, showing a truly dominant position in the aftermath of the disbanding of superteams.

Nomad Goats share the core members of the Phantoms, and had a very impressive run at this MHO, losing only to Firewatch. Their competitive and fiery nature are a pleasure to watch. I'm curious to see if they continue under this name during the next tournament cycle!

  1. Baywatch

A pseudo superteam, taking some of the best players from the current college-aged juggers. Their fast paced and highly adaptable lineup showed excellence at HSO. Excited to see what happens next after their chain's recovery.

Edit: This team is only mentioned due to their first place finish at HSO. Under other circumstances I would not mention them since they have yet to attend another tournament.

  1. Ursae (ITS variant)

With the new rigor of the ITS system, Ursae has started to rebuild it's team for the new school year. With most of the veteran members attending WCC, we can see a noticeable spike in the power level of the individual members. This team has the potential to be top 2 if they get their stuff together.

  1. Flower Power

This team has a concentration of high powered veterans and promising newbies that are no joke on the field. A few sprouting flowers are emerging from this team, worth keeping an eye on. Their over-reliance on "mom" and "dad" in competitive and close games (as told by my sources) land them at the fifth slot.

T6. Arborealis

With their full lineup, this team has a strong standing. Unfortunately, most of their core vet members have not consistently been able to make it to tournaments under the Arborealis name due to Firewatching.

T6. Bloodrush

As much as I would like to place this team higher, this year has been middling. They, as well as the other teams above them, has a lot of potential with their full line. If they were to tap into their extensively large merc pool to keep as regular players, they would undoubtedly be higher ranked. The use of strategy coming from this team is extraordinary, propelling this team higher than the bare sum of it's parts.

T8. BAJA

It's inherently hard to rank a team comprised solely of mercs. This ranking is probably the most shaky out of the numbered teams here. However, this team, at full power, has shown a higher ranking than Deities. Needs more data points due to the new nature of this team compared to it's former showings in the past.

T8. Deities

Due to the loss of key members of the team to graduation, this team has gotten significantly weaker compared to the past. The teamwork and over-reliance on veteran players has hurt it in the most recent Juggerlandia, with the veteran team, Old Gods, beating them while under-utilizing their line.

  1. Event Horizon

The implosion of Solaris has led to the creation of the team Event Horizon, which has shown better results compared to it's predecessor. A solid team with certain players showing promise.

  1. Elementals

Inconsistent with tournament showings, but has a strong selective core of players that show up.

  1. Luna Limax
Weird chains. Not sure what else they do.

  2. Good Nights

  3. BFB

  4. Feathered Serpents

I wish this team showed up more frequently, but it seems as though multiple of its members have either moved to another team or are unable to attend out of state tournaments.

Overall, I am happy with the shift away from superteams now that WCC has ended. I hope that in the near future, players will consistently play for a team, building connections and on game companionship that invisibly improves the team's performance. The culture of mercing in USA Jugger has, in my opinion, halted the growth of teams and stunted individual performance. The breakthrough points of an individual happen only so often, however the way that the jugger plays within the context of a team that practices together goes to tournaments together can massively improve the skill level of the individual players. From my sources, mercing is also the source of drama. I can't speak for this but it does make sense in some capacity.

Honorable mentions:

- Firewatch and Ursae for their WCC performances

- The creation of new teams and clubs around the USA

- Player turnout of new Jugger events

- Jugger couples marrying and engaging

Happy 2026 and I look forward to another year of jugger with everyone.

Only 4 players at a training? There's a fun exercise we tired ...

If you have only four players at your training, t might be hard to get something iuicy apart from duels.
What we found to be quite cool is what I call "Your Qwik in MINE!!"
It works like his:
2 Teams:
A: 1 Enforcer, 1 Qwik
B: 2 Enforcers
Downtime 3 stones (except Qwik)

If one B-Enforcer hits the Qwik, this one becomes Team A Enforcer, and former Team A Enforcer becomes Team B.
Qwik circles a cone in the back before becoming active again. If hit again, the successful player changes team again (also the Qwik's Enforcer).

Here we go with a Shorts video of it: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Y7VKo21IRjs

Thanks to Juggernauts for the briliiant exercise!

If not feel free to poke at me. I've always been curious to converse with players of the other forms of Jugger

Is anybody aware of any clubs or teams based out of the Chicagoland area? The closest I could find is in Milwaukee, which would be great if it weren't two hours both ways.

Dual Swords

My university offers it and it's break time atm. I am either interested in s&b or double swords. Couldn't find resource on either though. Btw: Discord link ain't working

On one hand I love defensive fighting styles on the other hand (no pun intended) I am ambidextrous and you can't hit people with the shield. I'd be open to chain and maybe longbo but I bet chain will be very contested. Similar to setter in volleyball and goaly in fusball.

Would be awesome to find more resources on what to choose and what to do.

Jugger as a video game

Hello everyone

A few months ago I made a reddit post, that I am working on a PC implementation of our favorite hobby, and linked a demo version of it.

Finally, the final product is ready, and now playable on Steam! It now includes all Pompfen (except the chain), as well as diverse play areas for graphical fluff in the game, and of course achievements. :-)

Please add it to your wishlist if you are interested, release date is in less than 2 weeks! ;-)

Fog of war is coming and I was asked to design some stickers! Along with drawing Starbear who I'll probably include in another post (little chibi bear mascot), I also made this miku variant a few months ago! Decided to bring her back along with designing a Teto for the new batch of stickers. I had a lot of fun designing this! Tried to make Miku's weapon somewhat resemble a microphone.

Rebar Padding

I am working on my short sword made out of rebar and am struggling to find the right padding. I have tube insulation that fits perfect but the wall thickness is only half an inch. I also have a super thick pool noodle but I know that is frowned upon. Do either of these two options work?

Thanks!

The best (and only) Jugger PC game in the world is finally here

EDIT: Now available on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4788610/Jugger__the_video_game/

Hi everyone

In the last months, I had a lot of free time (unemployed :D), and was thinking on how to utilize it and also popularize our favorite game, Jugger. So with hard work, I learned coding and made a PC game from Jugger, so we can play it at home, when there is no training time.

If you are interested in PC games, I would very much appreciate it if you could playtest it and give some opinion about it. In the final version (released in a few weeks to Steam and Epic Games) I plan to add a few more weapons and maps and maybe even add multiplayer mode.

Here is the link for the demo game: https://knorrmal-games.itch.io/jugger

Feel free to send it around to people who might be interested in it too.

Windows may show a security warning in the demo version because the game is not signed, as this is my first project, so I am not a registered publisher at Windows. As it turns out, it takes a lot of money to become one... This warning is normal for indie projects, because any new publisher is not yet on the trusted list of Microsoft publishers. To start the game, you can click “More info” → “Run anyway”. Or check with your antivirus program beforehand if you don't trust random links from random people ;)

Jugger in Phoenix?

Looking it up, it seems that one was active in 2019, and all other information for people doing it in Phoenix AZ is on X accounts that I can’t se because I don’t have an X account.

So, anyone know of Jugger teams in Phoenix AZ? Or, at the very least, if anyone else in Phoenix AZ is interested in working on forming a new team with me?

Jugger at WorldCon 2028 -- Nuremberg Bid

We are bidding for WorldCon 2028 in Nuremberg, close to where I live!
I'd push that there will be Jugger as well, of course -- it fits perfectly to the world's greatest annual Science Fiction convention.
For this, we need your support, and word-spreading Of course, ideally, we'd love to get your votes at WorldCon in LA this Summer, or even win you as a volunteer for the event. For those interested, you may also join our Discord Server. More infos at http://www.nuremberg2028.de

Oh and if everything goes well, we will have a full Jugger presentation and movie time at LAcon as well. Not yet confirmed, I'll keep you posted.
Here we go with a quick shout-out:

Why use collars?

Hey so I’ve finally added a collar on my most recently built spear/staff and I don’t really see the point behind it since it just adds weight and doesn’t really give more protection to other players?

Why do we use these? Thanks :)

Jugger with glasses

My glasses aren't really glass, so they won't shatter during jugger, but breaking frame might be dangerous. Reddit claims that contact lenses aren't great either when hit.

Last option I see (aside from fixing eyesight operation) are more durable, sport glasses. Do you have the experience with those? How do you/your team handle bad eyesight?
