General I'm so tired of this dumdass mentally that tracing makes some artist inferior to those who don't need to trace

Post image

This is like saying using references for you art is bad, am I now a bad artist cuz I have to my hand as a reference. It's such a dumb take ,cuz why would I need to change they way I like to draw to fit the way you draw. The worst part is the guy never brought up why he thinks tracing is bad besides "oh your 10 if you trace" which is like why even start an argument if you have no good points to say why your right and the other person is wrong.

Tracing is only cheating if the point of your art is realism technicality. If youre not trying to show off your realism skills, it legit doesn't matter that youre using a 3d model for a pose

Uh... no. Tracing is not a reference. The only thing tracing is good for is copying somebody's work exactly. That's what happens when you trace. It looks the same at best, likely worse.

...."work"? So a nude 3D model that I pose myself and then draw over is someone else's work??

Yup. Always will be. Did you make the model? That's sculpting.

It's literally the difference between making a Barbi and playing with one.

Full offense meant, youre full of shiy. The painting on the right looking like a poor imitation of the model on the left is just flat out lie

I feel like people who have never tried to draw don’t understand that even taking well done line art and coloring it is a huge skill.

The heavy work is obviously in part 2. You're acting like loopholes work here. You know you aren't talking to an AI right? Image 1 in literally a pre-built asset. It's like saying an artist didn't use their own work because they looked at one of those posable wooden dolls.

You literally said tracing a 3d model means the finished result is an imitation and bot your work. Thats what was done in my example

When you're in an 'I'm realising I'm wrong but I can't admit it so I have to find increasingly nonsensical excuses' competition and your opponent is BlaineMundane
