Welches Tarp über meine Hängematte?
Welches Tarp über meine Hängematte?
Helloo,

Hammock with stand
Hi all! I’m looking for a good recommendation for a hammock with a stand that’s sturdy enough to hold 2 people (around 350 combined weight). I’m not planning on using it for camping, I mostly want to have it on my covered back porch for reading and relaxing. All of the recs I see are quilted camping style, and that’s not really what I’m looking for. Thank you for any recommendations!

ENO Park-Lite use cases
i love this thing. it isn't practical as a chair or a hammock. but I have slept in it and it is such a cozy space. There is an under-quilt on there because i get chilly. the Under-quilt had to be hung on separate loops from the arms of the stand due to the way the hammock feeds through the arms. i know ENO isnt the best price to performance brand, but for a consumer who wants minimal tinkering , or has a very small space, this product is great. At ~44" long and ~28" wide. I use the ENO-Park-Lite as my office chair, and it works for me. Does anyone else use this weird hammock adjacent item?

Longterm Hammock/Net Set Up
I’ve got this idea for a larger hammock that I can use as a two person bed. I’m annoyingly allergic to dust mites and am basically REQUIRED to vacuum my mattress once a week. I also have hip and back issues after the military and fall asleep like a baby in a hammock.
I’ve been highly recommended + inspired to give full time hammock sleeping a shot. However, I still enjoy the bed look. My partner would also still like to sleep near me. I don’t mind sleeping in separate hammocks, but wanted to see if I could make something different.
The first photo is similar to the netting I would use (maybe something smaller netting hole size. And the second photo is a sketch I made with a center line that could be tightened.
Any pros out there with advice/opinions? I’m all ears.

Can a hammock be attatched to a porch swing's chain?
I have a porch swing, but hammocks are REALLYY awesome, and I dont have any place to put one. I thought of the idea that a hammock could be like secured above a porch swing. Here was an idea I had for it, and I was wondering how I could do so, or perhaps if it already exists?

What temperature underquilt do most people use for lows between 45 and 60?
I have a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC and I typically camp from spring to fall but only use my underquilt when the temperatures get into the low 60s.

Is the eno parkway adjustable hammock stand any good?
Need a hammock stand for our backyard for the few summer months we get a year. We don't have a covered space for it to lay under or trees but I like that we can break it down and pack it away indoors for the winter is there something better we should look at or something in addition to a hammock/stand that we should consider buying?

Wookie Underquilt for Majestic Hammock
So after a long wait my new Majestic Hammock has arrived and it's the most comfortable hammock I own.
I am in the market for a new 20° underquilt and thinking about the wookie UQ. Any Majestic Hammock owners use the wookie? How does it fit? How do you get it to fit?
How successful are you using the wookie with non blackbird XLC?

I got incredibly ill when sleeping in my hammock as a test for outdoor sleeping
I just got over two days straight sleeping from being sick after sleeping in my hammock.
I decided to sleep in my hammock outdoors in the Philippines to get used to the idea of sleeping outside since I've almost exclusively slept indoors all my life. I guess I just dream of the idea of saving on airbnbs or some such things and being able to travel the world.. Anyway, I decided to sleep in my front yard.
While I was initially sleeping in my hammock I noticed my sleep was not so sound like it was indoors. I did sleep, but it was an odd sleep where on eye was half open and the other was shut or however that phrase goes.. It's like my mind was not off despite me seemingly being in some kind of sleep.
Anyway, I woke up to a splitting headache. I probably was awake for 30 minutes until I realized I wasn't well, I went indoors and quickly feel asleep inside. I slept for literally 24-36 hours straight again and my splitting headache slowly vanished over that time.
I've never had something like this happen before. I didn't think sleeping in a hammock would do something like this. I've slept in the hammock before a handful of times and managed to get decent sleep, so I dont know why this time was so different.
I think it had something to do with me already being slightly sick as I do recall being a bit frigid when sleeping in the hammock initially.
I'm not at all accustomed to sleeping outside but I guess it's not to be underestimated how important thermals are when finding quality sleep in order to keep your health up even in a warm and humid environment...
Can anyone shed some light as to why I may have gotten so sick and what I can do to avoid it in the future?
Edit- wow reddit showing its fangs of lack of sympathy and only caring for agreeable content.
Doesnt matter if someone's been sick, nope bad topic on hammocks and down vote.
To address these comments. It was 80 degrees when I slept at night here. I had noise canceling headphones etc, no it's not dengue as I've not been bitten by any mosquitoes recently.
I literally slept indoors right after sleeping in hammock to fight off whatever I had. Obviously sleeping in the hammock didnt help whatever I had but made it worse because of the hammocks uncomfortable nature not providing good REM sleep.
Most of these comments sound like people who've seldom slept outdoors or in a hammock.. smh
Anyway it was likely temperature related. Not to be underestimated despite being at 80

What should I buy for mosquito netting?
I started using a hammock stand, but now my bug net doesn't fit and drags on the floor.
