She’s 4 months old and mostly house trained. Please help…she wants my duvet as her toilet. I’ve had to wash and dry it three times this week, with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. Nothing seems to stop her, but I still need a duvet this winter! I feel like I’m going out of my mind. What am I doing wrong?

I’m on vacation and I don’t get to see my brother‘s dog a whole lot. But whenever I’m here she always wants to go for a walks, she only gets one once a day and it’s for about a kilometre and a half. When she gets back home, she’s always excited to go back out again whenever somebody leaves the house. Since I’ve been here, I’ve been going on walks on the trail that is according to my phone 4.8 km long. When she sees me go, she wants to go with me. She is young at heart but at age 13 is a near 5 km walk maybe too much for her? Her hind leg can get a little sore, but other than that, she is a very healthy dog.

Hello! I come in peace. I have a four year old borzoi whose spine is causing him some trouble. While we manage this and perform diagnostics/consider surgery, I'm looking for something to keep him cozy as per the recommendation of our vet.
Thing is, he's quite a coated boy and I feel polar fleece would be far too warm for him, but cotton would be too thin also. Any manufacturers on here that could chime in?
My dearest idiot sends his snooty regards.

Our Penny turned 10 on Monday. Here’s a picture from the rescue foster before she came to us and one from last week. I love her sugar face. Penny (Penelope aka Penny, aka Penelope Cruz aka Penelope Ann Miller aka Peanut aka Pumpkin etc etc) is a spry 10 year old. She has lumbosacral disease and has had some issues but is doing well with acupuncture and red light therapy. She also has kidney disease and has been on a kidney diet for a while. She still gets excited for every car ride she can get and is the sweetest girl, even if she steals the bed once in a while. She got a chicken quesadilla for her birthday, since she regularly demands bits from ours when we get them. ❤️

Since Andre joined our home we’re doing much longer walks more frequently and enjoying the extra activity. Fred’s lost 2.5 kilograms (5.5 pounds for our friends in the northern hemisphere). Andre is full of young dog energy and drags us both out on long walks, which is great. The effect on Fred is incredible though, he’s full of energy and I’ve had to tighten his harness twice.

Hello! We recently adopted our sweet boy about a month and a half ago. He is a 3 year old male ex-racing greyhound, and we love him so much.
He is very confident, goofy, and energetic for an ex-racer this early into home life, but with that being said we’ve been lucky that he’s taken almost everything about this new transition in stride.
The only thing that we’ve continued to struggle with is him peeing in the house. He didn’t have a history of potty issues with his fosters, but in his first month with us he had 6 accidents inside. We quickly remediated and got super tight with belly banding and keeping him close to us in doors, and all had been well (no accidents) for almost 3 weeks - until now.
We anticipated some potential “marking” behavior - but this is just him full on peeing in the house. Whenever this happens, he doesn’t give us any indication that he needs to go out, just kind of starts peeing and doesn’t make any attempt to wine or go to the door (like he often will). It has happened twice that he’ll eat his dinner and then run immediately to pee somewhere in the house. He is usually happy afterwards and doesn’t seem to understand that he did something wrong (which is good in a sense that he’s not scared/ nervous, but knowing that going indoors is bad is the goal).
Our walk schedule is usually 5 10-30 minute walks a day (wake up, around breakfast, lunch, home from work/dinner, before bed). We also have a dog walker come on days when we both go into work to make sure he never has to hold it that long.
We did get him checked for a UTI and he is perfectly healthy🙂 if anyone has any experience with this behavior please chime in! We just want to better understand what’s going on and how we can prevent it.
Thank you all!❤️

I just found a bit of (I think) dead skin on my greyhound’s back… it was stuck into the surface of his skin so I pulled it out obviously worrying if it was a tick. Anyone know what it is? It’s only tiny about 1-2mm long. He’s still suffering from a bit of dandruff as he’s only newly retired and we’ve only had him for a month. Pics of the weird skin thing and our silly boy included

Dog pic for tax purposes :)
I'm after some recommendations for hypoallergenic diets, ideally kibble if possible! My boy is currently on an elimination diet and is only having Prime100 rolls + gut probiotics, but in the near future I'm hoping to transition him onto something else long-term. The vet suggested staying with hypoallergenic food in general as we don't know exactly what it is that was upsetting his stomach.
Any brands that people swear by, or that we should stay away from?

So it's spring here in Victoria, Australia . Still pretty darn cold tho, but my grey is losing fur like a mo fo. Not around the house but when i brush her I get a good amount. She's my first Grey so im not sure if this is normal? She's just turned 4 and eats kibble , wet food (rolls) and chicken feet and necks. No scratching but she's always had a bit of dandruff. Any thoughts or info greatly appreciated.

Hi! We’ve just adopted our beautiful boy (Todd) from a local rescue. He is an ex-stray and around 3 years old. We’ve all had a bit of a debate as to what he is a mixture of 😅 The first rescue that brought him off the streets listed him as a saluki, but the rescue we actually adopted him from listed him as a lurcher. He definitely has some greyhound in him, which is evident from his legs and body. But we cannot figure out what else he may be mixed with! What does everyone think?

I’m not sure if anyone cares! But here’s an update on Cinders.
Yesterday, the vet made a strange comment - she noted Cinders was missing a toe. I was confused as I’d never noticed before and it wasn’t noted as an injury when I got her, but I said I guessed it was likely a racing injury.
The vet came back to re-dress her paw this morning. Because the swelling has gone down and the painkillers have kicked it, she managed to finally get a look. As it turns out, Cinders has impaled one of her toes with the claw next to it. The claw is so deep and the swelling was so bad we just couldn’t see it yesterday. So it turns out she has all her toes after all 🤣 The vet said she’d never seen a dog do this before so it’s a first for her!
Cinders was a very brave girl this morning, but unfortunately has to be sedated later on to fix her paw - the claw is too deep to be done without sedation. It doesn’t look like it’s dislocated, so fingers crossed it’ll be a quick and simple procedure.
