My Dad came home early yet he never left work?
I still can't fully comprehend what happened. I was 13. It was just me and my father. The daily routine consisted of me coming home from school, play Xbox or watch TV until Dad comes home around 5 or 6. That day started just like that. Came home from school around 3ish, turned on my Xbox in the living room and played some Halo. I was in the middle of a Halo 3 match when the door bursts open and my Dad comes in. It startled me but my Dad likes to jumpscare me sometimes so it wasn't out of the ordinary. What was out of the ordinary was I didn't hear his car.
My Dad drove a very loud beamer so I would hear him arriving every time. A sort of heads up. But I didn't hear his beamer. I approach him. "Hey Dad. How was your day?" He beamed. He usually comes home exhausted. "Good. Very good. Boy I am hungry. How about you order us some pizzas." "Sure." I said. Ordering pizza wasn't out of the norm either. "Great. I'm going to change." He says and disappears into his bedroom. Another usual routine. He comes home, changes, and we watch TV together. So switch to cable television and watch some TV. Dad is very picky about his pizza so i was going to order with him. Time passes. I glance over at his bedroom door from time to time. Sometimes he falls asleep. Nothing unusual also. An hour. Then 2. It gets past 7. I grow impatient. I walk towards his bedroom. Knock. No answer. Knock again. Still no answer. I open the door and the room is empty.
I check his bathroom. Also empty. I check the entire house thinking he's going to scare me. But it's just me. Then my phone rings. It's my Dad telling me he's still at work and won't be home for another hour or 2. Now when I told my father about this he said maybe I was dreaming. I wasn't. I don't have such vivid dreams. I wasn't on any medication nor was i taking a nap. I was in the middle of an online match. I heard the door burst open. It startled me. I know what I saw. To this day I still can't comprehend what exactly played out.
