Do you mean IV and V? VI isn't out yet lol. Or are you basing it off the footage we've seen.

Basing it off the footage we saw. I have to imagine that if Jason was capable of doing crazy Max Payne shit like diving around and such, they'd have shown it off rather than showing off GTAV ProMax gunplay.

GTA isn't Max Payne, though. Max Payne 3 felt good even without all the dives, so GTA can as well.

The shooting in the extended look looked good to me, but I can't really judge until I get my hands on it; them removing the absurd aim assist was definitely the right choice.

Aim assist always had like 2-3 presets and you could always turn it off.

It's not about diving and bullet time, it's the fact that GTA5 and RDR2 were still built around their dated-as-hell auto aim/lock on system that goes back to GTA3. Yeah you can set them to free aim and tweak it, but I never could get either game to feel like a proper, smooth third person shooter, whereas Max Payne 3's aiming was smooth as butter.

God, I hope GTA6 is built for proper free aim rather than tacking it on as an afterthought.
