What's ironic is that Epic giving the game away for free increase sales of those games on Steam.
One would think that sales would drop while the game is free, but gamers dislike EGS so much that they would rather spend their hard earned money over using the EGS
Yeah this happened to me. We got Subnautica for free at some point. I installed it, played it for a few, cried, uninstalled it and bought it over on steam. 😂
That's me with XCOM2. One of the reasons is it had a bug that made it impossible to complete the hardcore campaign on Epic, but the bugs were fixed in the Steam version.
Got it free on Epic, couple of weeks later bought it on Steam.
I had the same story with you but instead I bought a steam key in greenmangaming. And the great thing about that, was I got the keys quite cheaply (around 200 php or 4 dollars at that time) with all the dlcs compared to the base game that I got for free in Epic.
It's been a minute but the few games I got from epic were indie games and I usually don't mind shelling out cash for those, so I treated them like a free demo.
