I have fios 2gig. I got the upgraded ONT. I have all IPTV (no coax). I have a vms hardwired as well as the android based streamer box that is ALSO hardwired (i bought the additional adapter).

i set my network up with verizon router first, then I unplugged it and am fully on unifi. That worked for like 8 months. no issues. then i got this issue a few days ago. Did the same thing. Just plugged in the verizon router. did a few system reboots and everything was good again. error msg came back. put the verizon router back, good for another day. now its back again.

now im aggravated. i know i can probably just put the verizon fios router into bridge mode, but i just want my unifi gear to work with these damn streamer boxes. no moca or anything needed as far as i can tell since it has worked for months at a time without issues. its an android box, so I don't understand what it could be doing that requires the verizon router. anyone familiar with maybe what changes i can make on my network to "simulate" whatever the verizon router is doing? theres gotta be SOMETHing simple here to make this work again.

Are there any advantages to TV+ over TV One? As in the interface, the closed captioning, apps, etc?

I see they are rolling out predefined multi views for tv+.

If I move to TV+, I will be going wired so I’m not interested in the WiFi aspect.

Was checking Verizon home offers in the app, had this show up. $25 off for 12 months. Just joined a few months ago, no idea why I was targeted but not complaining. Posting here so others can check if they got the offer too.

I'm getting an upgrade to 300 from 100. My router is currently connected by coax. Will coax handle 300 or do I need to connect it to the ont by ethernet cable or not? I know there is a limit for coax.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? As far as I can tell all the lights that should be on the ONT, are in fact on. But the router is showing a red globe. WiFi network appears but is not connecting to internet. I’ve tried power cycling to no avail.

I have a FIOS TV One DVR (and also a cablecard for my TIVO but that is a heartbreaking story as all TIVO owners know). The VMS4100 software still says QAM. I assume at some point they will update it to QAMless before November 5? In NYC Queens btw.

I live in an NYC townhouse in Queens.

My asshole neighbors during construction removed a Verizon terminal box. According to Verizon 5 houses are now out of service. It’s been 1.5 weeks without internet.

The last I heard from Verizon they are sending in a right of way team, but that was Thursday.

The neighbors have confirmed they don’t even want Verizon in there, according to a different neighbor who spoke with them and explained the situation. Verizon was supposed to be there yesterday but we found out the appointment was cancelled, probably by the asshole neighbor themselves.

I’m trying to understand what our options at this point are. What time estimates are we looking at for fixing this problem? Can Verizon get access through some kind of legal dispute if the homeowner is not cooperative?

I have access to my account but chat wouldn't work as it would never connect me even after a hour wait. Schedule a callback and it's "You don't have a slot available for callback now. Please try after sometime." Call Verizon's 1-800-VERIZON number and it would stock at "let me pull up your account"

After literally spending days over the course of weeks trying to fix this, I'm at my wits end.

I pay for 1gb fios internet speeds. But I have never seen higher than 200 down/200 up via wifi.

Pre-reqs info: I'm working from an M1 Macbook Pro, and a 2013 Iphone. I am referring to speed tests all done directly facing my router at approx. 4-5 feet away - no obstacles between me and it. I am using a Verizon brand CR1000 router. I'm running speed tests in terminal and on Verizon's speed test site (terminal to circumvent any browser constraints). For my laptop, I have to use the business site because for whatever reason the personal speed test website won't work on my laptop despite an absurd number of attempts and configurations. I'm doing the verizon tests in an incognito tab in chrome. So I don't think the hardware is the limiting factor here, despite the helpdesk wanting to blame everything on my devices.

I know that I can hardwire my computer, and the apple TVs in my home. But I can't hardwire my phone. Verizon simply shrugs and says "we can only guarantee speed from us to your router." IT'S COMPLETELY USELESS TO TALK TO THEM. These speeds have been consistent over my entire 5 years with Verizon, but now it has started to get worse.

In the past couple of months my speeds have been so bad that I have had to cancel work calls or had to drop from video calls midway through. I consistently have to close all AI apps on my laptop (whether something is actively running or not) to ensure call quality. I've also experienced blips in service that my neighbors in the same building are not experiencing.

I live in DC and I know it's a congested area. I've tried every hack I can think of to optimize the browser and the router both. Calling verizon pushed me from 12 mb download speeds, to 196. After all the tweaking, I did once get 375 down / 22 up, but that happened once, and then went back to the more balanced 190s / low 200s for speeds in all tests since on both my phone and my laptop.

I did have one decent conversation with a rep who acknowledged the drops in service are definitely signs of a problem on their side somewhere. He sent me a router, or claimed to. I had to follow up a week later after it never arrived, and someone else actually sent it. When it did arrive, it was a G3100 - a step down in router capacity. When I called the help desk again, she made no offer to replace it, just told me the G3100 should be returned.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE INTERNET SPEEDS I PAY FOR???? TBH via wifi, anything over 500 would be amazing. but 200mbps is ridiculous. I might as well downgrade my plan and fight them for a refund for the absurdity of the situation.

I'm currently on the fios 1 gb plan with that ancient round router. I'm cancelling the tv service and was thinking up upgrading to the 2 or 5gb plans but they require a router upgrade. I was wondering if the new 5gb router is any good ( I live in a 2 bed nyc apt) or should I just use my own? My rooms are hard wired so my TVs use the cable. The wifi is just for the tablets phones and laptops.

Have contemplated it for years but finally did it yesterday to get the $30 per month (also got an additional $4 discount on top of that to bring it to $26 per month!).

Was slightly concerned about downgrading from 1GBPS to 300 but so far so good...everything works and just as fast! 😄 And I'm going to save over $1200 year year, going from $205 per month to ~$30 all in!

Speed tests run yesterday and then again this morning to compare. Can highly recommend this so far if anyone else is on the fence like I was.

For TV, the only channels we really cared about were locals and for me the local pro basketball team, which is the killer because that requires a hefty subscription. So I did the YouTube TV News + Sports package for ~$50 per month for 5 months then will reevaluate before it goes up. Still, I was paying over $200 per month before.

This is a long story but the previous tenant came and took their router and the black box. Finally got the black box back so we could set up but it’s still not working. I assumed this green thing would plug in somewhere but I don’t see anywhere it can. I tried unplugging everything and trying again in a specific order suggested by AI. That didn’t work. What am I missing?

The "Airings" listing found under Series info for a given program is chronically incomplete. Simply put it is broken, because it it cannot be relied upon.

Attached image is the current "Airings" listing for upcoming showings of "MLB Baseball" in the Series info.

Meanwhile if I go to the Guide itself, it shows an upcoming airing of the same program at 8pm on a different channel (TBS, in this case). In fact, I already had that 8pm TBS episode set to record. The TBS listing is how I navigated to the Series Airings list, itself.

This is not a one-off glitch. A few days ago when more teams were playing, with multiple airings of each I missed recording the first half of a game altogether because the Airings list didn't show the game I was interested in at all. Initially I thought I was crazy, but I've seen this happen before.

It's easy to demonstrate the Airings listings are incomplete with programs that have multiple airings on different channels at different times per day, like BBC World News America and things across ESPN networks like Pardon the Interruption. A thorough examination of the various channels for the day and overnight show episodes in the guide that do not appear in the Airings list.

This is basic stuff. How do these products get out the door like this?

Currently experiencing a wiped dvr after rebooting the router several times. No scheduled programs. No deleted programs. 0% full for storage. Pretty pissed. Has anyone ever retrieved what was recorded?

My question is do they send this out to me and I install / switch things out or is this a home visit? I suspect they send out as they say in the email they don't care about the old equipment and I can dispose of it as I see fit.
I have a Tivo on one TV and I also have their white 4 port 1GB Ethernet equipment.
Will there new replacement 4 port ethernet box be capable of the higher speeds they now offer?

Hello, I have not yet received the $50 Verizon gift card I redeemed on September 30. I was informed that it would be emailed within 24–48 hours, but I have not received it. I recently contacted Verizon, and they advised me to reach out to the Blackhawk team. I have checked both my inbox and spam folder, but the gift card is not there. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
