I don't understand why my account got disabled, but I still did the process of submitting a video selfie, a government ID, and codes. I had to re-submit 2 more IDs because apparently the first one didn't work, but it still didn't work.

My Facebook account is my real name and I've posted some selfies there sometimes (but I privated them way back then). What can I do? How do I get this back? I use this account for school and basically everything since 7th Grade.

I'm desperate.

On October 5, 2026, my Facebook account was disabled due to an age issue (I originally turned 18 on X + Y). I saw the option to submit an appeal, so I appealed using my passport, which had my DOB as X + Y. However, after a few moments, my account was permanently disabled.

Actually, my real DOB on my Facebook account is X, but my passport has X + Y. So, my DOB is incorrect on my documents (this is common in our country).

My WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook were connected through Accounts Center, and they were also disabled. I tried a lot to contact Meta human support, but I guess you can't access it without Meta Verified.

I've seen people get their permanently disabled accounts back after subscribing to Meta Verified. So, should I try subscribing to Meta Verified using my mother's Instagram account? And what are my chances of getting my account back?

I won't be using my account because I'm not 18 according to my documents right now, although I've made new accounts. However, I still want to get my old accounts back.

Had lunch when I got a Facebook notification that my Facebook account has been suspended. Appeal with video selfie and 10 minutes later I got this message. My IG, Whatsapp and Threads are still fine. Subscribed for Meta verified on IG to get in contact with Meta support, and I have been waiting for an live agent for over 2 hours now.

Hi, my account had been hacked months ago, I’m my account got banned and the hacker had attempted to appeal the account at the same time. A week after getting initially banned, Apple released news they had a data leak, I was unbanned due to the news of the data leak but under temporary suspension. Due to the suspension I couldn’t leave groups that the hacker had joined which seemed to be Arabic based used furniture groups? Or remove the few accounts they had added as friends. I had gotten an email a couple days prior to the ban that I had banned from posting ads. I was confused and unaware of the situation at the time as I never posted an ad before or knew how to. When I got unbanned it lasted a few days before getting banned a second time for the same reason, under the premise of “child exploitation”. I tried to appeal explaining the situation but got the same response from an ai assistant of the sort saying I still break the rules regarding child exploitation. It never explained further than those words and at the time others had been banned for the same reason but found resolution by appealing not sure why my case is different.
March 20 was the original ban and march 23rd was the permanent ban. Please help I really miss marketplace and lack communication with most of my family

The following day we were both disabled.
Her reason: for running adds, which shes never done.
Mine? For account integrity.
She was let back into her account, whereas I was permanent disabled following a glitched Ai ‘selfie verification’ video.
I paid to communicate with Meta support on Instagram regarding my Facebook account and they were unable to escalate things due to their limited toolkit. If that’s true, I’m unsure how others have recieved help from them unless it’s for a different factor? I also asked the bot about my linked account and it did a ‘uh oh, you’re right, you haven’t broken any community rules or terms of use, unfortunately I can’t override my past decision’ which makes me concerned about this overzealous AI which according to Meta One support, they lack the toolkits to control the AI and its mistakes. Surely not an ethical use of artificial intelligence.
Not wanting to also lose my linked Instagram account, I unlinked my Facebook.
Within 12 hours, my Facebook account could no longer be attempted to signed into, to download or recover my data. When attempting to sign in, my email address came up as with no Facebook account. What’s scarier, is that my mobile number was still attached to the account, but the email address for recovery has changed. No emails that my details have changed, nothing.
My friend checked our message history and the account is still under my name, but the account is unavailable and no profile image is found.
I’ve then attempted to supply my ID under the hacked support group, but I’ve recieved two automated emails that my ID is insufficient even though I have uploaded a few and correctly as per their instructions.

What I’m spooked about is the change of email address?

As my account was used also for business, I will take them to court for loss of finances, and general damages for isolation given I’m a person with disability unable to communicate with family.

i was just scrolling yesterday then my account just log'out telling my account is disabled then i try to log-in asking for identity confirmation but request denied due to Facebook details and Identity Card doesn't match is there any more way to revover the account.?

For context I have 2 old accounts saved on my device, my main account from 2009 and the seller account I made after that. I rarely or dont use my seller account anymore, so I only open my main but both have saved logins in 1 device no email or phone number linking them together.

Both my accounts got suspended last Oct. 10 but only my main account was permanently disabled, now I can only appeal to my other account the problem is that it uses a pseudonym as my last name but same first name it was for privacy reasons. I keep getting rejected when I submit my id as my account doesnt match my identity. When I got on a call to meta agent as I got verified on instagram he said that its good that it takes 2 days to review because a human will verify and they check photos to match it so he said they maybe like sometimes consider a different last name?

Has anyone experienced the same thing and may I ask what you did to get your account back? I desperately need the main back.

Edit: I saw on some post they edited their ID? Can someone help verify or do I keep submitting the same id?

Facebook Account Still Locked After 3 Months Despite Unlock Confirmation

My Facebook account was restricted on August 9. I submitted my ID and a selfie as requested. I then received an email saying my account would be unlocked, but I still can’t access it.

It’s been 3 months now, and my account is still locked.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and managed to get their account back? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thought i'd post here just to let everyone know what worked for me. My facebook account was suddenly suspended "This is because your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards on account integrity" (i hadn't even used the account barely in months). After providing a selfie video and ID my "Facebook account has been permanently disabled" Part of my issue was i'd named my account a random name related to my business and also this account was the admin of a page and also was used for instagram and threads so lost access to all those accounts as well. Was quite gutting at the time especially as i had spent a long time to get the instagram followers i had.

I played around for hours trying to create new accounts which were disabled almost immediately and then using an old account which worked trying to contact someone human with no luck, also trying meta verified but the ID system would never let me verify. I then saw a post about someone using meta one support the other day so i tried that.

I signed up for the free trial for "Meta One Expert" under the "Creator" plan (two days ago) with 5 human support cases just in case i needed to open more than one case as the tier below had only one support case per month. This subscription plan was under the "Creator" type not the "Personal" plan as i'm not sure the personal plans have human support and the creator plans specifically say x "support case a month" with "Get help from a real person for specific solutions to your account issues".

I think i tapped the three lines in the top left corner of the facebook app when on my profile and then right near the bottom of the menu was a upgrades sub menu with Meta One in it after clicking that it shows you the plans available to you and the upon clicking on that you get taken through to google play sub menu to pay.

After getting the Meta One Expert free trial i was able to contact facebook support without verifying after going through the following links:

Your profile > Profile Settings > Meta One > x support cases per month with a real person > Meta AI support assistant

After briefly explaining my support request to a bot, i spoke with a support person for around 10 minutes explaining my account was supended/disabled out of the blue. The support person then phoned me to clarify the situation and said it would be passed to the specialist team. Today they sent me a message that the account/s have been re-enabled and i am now able to log back in!! Would recommend this route for anyone who hasn't tried it, as this method wasn't all that much hassle in the end. I think for Meta One I did see it wasn't available in my region on a couple of pages but after searching around i did find a page/link which allowed me to sign up/get a free trial. Good Luck!!!

My facebook got hit with the sexualization of minors about three days ago (which is false and very concerning) my ig was linked to that fb account so it was disabled as well, I appealed thru facebook but my appeal was rejected within 5 minutes

Early this week I had emails start coming in that accounts were added and removed from my account, then an email saying it was disabled, then an email saying it was appealed, then an email saying the appeal was denied. By the time I noticed my Instagram account for my business was gone and then saw these emails I logged in and got the Disabled message, with just the option to download my data...

After no luck trying to open a case about it I signed up for the Meta verified premium to talk to support. Huge issues there, super buggy, no help. Finally was able to get on the phone and was just told that the disable is permanent. My 10+year instagram for by business is gone just because it was linked to my personal facebook which they made me to do share posts between them and my business facebook.

I am so completely flabbergasted at this whole process. From the days and hoops and bugs I had to navigate to get someone to actually communicate with me, to them acknowledging my account was hacked, to saying there is nothing to do about it and 10 years of work is just gone now.

Has anyone gotten past being told that their account was permanently disabled? I had my instagram secured with 2FA but never use my facebook so I thought nothing about 2FA or how one profile could ruin the other.

I’m in Greece / EU. In March, Meta permanently disabled my Instagram, Facebook, and several linked IG accounts for alleged Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
I denied it completely. Meta never showed me the content or activity that supposedly caused the ban.
What I did:
Appealed through Meta
Filed with EETT, the Greek Digital Services Coordinator
Went through ADR Point under the EU Digital Services Act
Contacted other regulators
Had multiple Meta employees submit internal reviews
Eventually hired Greek lawyer Vasilis Sotiropoulos, through a referral from Homo Digitalis
Tried to settle directly with Meta’s lawyer
When that failed, we went to court
Our first temporary-order request was rejected.
We were preparing to go back to court again, with Meta also appearing through counsel.
Before that hearing happened, Meta restored every single account.
Instagram, Facebook, everything.
Huge shoutout to Vasilis Sotiropoulos. He actually understood platform litigation, kept pushing after the first court attempt failed, and was prepared to take Meta back to court again.
If you’re in the EU, don’t assume Meta’s internal appeal is the end. Keep every screenshot, email, case number and decision. Look into your national Digital Services Coordinator, DSA dispute-resolution bodies, and if the account matters enough, a lawyer who actually understands this area.
It took me 7 months, but I got everything back.

Hacker changed my email in FB meta business and added 2FA in late July. I did what I could, but really couldn't overcome it, but thought I might've regained control by changing to a complex password. I was wrong. October 8th the hacker deleted my email and phone number and took full control of my Meta business account which includes my business and personal account. They then made some really creative posts to defraud people and after about 200 calls and text messages from my friends and followers and multiple reports got the account disabled. I've gone down rabbit hole trying to get the accounts back. I started using a secondary account I had a meta certified it so I could get a real person, but keep hitting a wall. Any ideas? TYIA. PS the account is 20ish years old and has 4K followed....my wedding, kids, you name it in that account. I really messed up!

My case was opened on September 2 and stayed on “Received” until October 7, when it changed to “In Progress.”

For anyone who's been through this, how long did it take to hear back from Meta after the status changed?

**Update**: My account was restored on October 11, but the status of my support case hadn't changed at that point. I'm not sure whether the restoration was related to the support case, since I also paid a lawyer. I’m writing this because I know what it feels like to lose a precious account filled with years of memories.

My account was also suspended on September 20 and then immediately disabled a few minutes later, but strangely, I was only asked for a video selfie—I wasn’t asked to submit any ID—and after that, my account was disabled.

I'm sure the main reason accounts were suspended and then disabled was a bug that forced users to log in continuously on Messenger. This had been happening to me for a long time, but it wasn't until September 20 that the AI detected it and took immediate action.

From September 20 to October 5, I tried every method I could find online, but nothing worked. My Facebook accounts are linked to their respective Instagram accounts, and none of my Instagram accounts could get Meta Verified because they were stuck on the waiting list.

I even tried borrowing a friend's account that already had Meta Verified status, but the request was rejected on the grounds that the problematic Facebook account had to be linked to the Instagram account used to submit the report. I also attempted to purchase Meta Verified for my parents' account several times, but the requests were consistently rejected.

On October 6, my parents’ Meta accounts were upgraded to Meta One. I immediately tried to purchase a one-week Meta One Premium trial; the first attempt failed, but the second one succeeded.

I tried contacting a support agent; surprisingly, even before I could explain anything, the AI immediately connected me to an agent—I’m not sure why, but perhaps it was because of the Meta One Premium trial. Then I explained the entire issue to the agent; beforehand, I’d prepared a draft to send that was as clear and detailed as possible so the agent could understand it right away. I explained everything—including specific dates and times, which of my accounts were affected, what devices I was using (I use three phones), my follower count, and so on. I also explained at the beginning of the draft that I am the son of my parents acc and was forced to borrow the account to make the report.

After receiving my draft, the agent immediately forwarded it to the team and gave me a ticket. I didn’t beat around the bush anymore because I thought the information I’d provided was sufficient, and the agent ended the chat.

On October 8, I was informed that my accounts had all been reactivated—even though in the draft I’d only explained the main issue with my primary account. Perhaps they had a history of my account activity across my devices.

When I logged in, I still ran into issues—it kept asking me to log in over and over. I decided to reinstall Facebook and Messenger, and when I logged in, there were no more problems.

My advices:

-I used my native language when contacting the agent. My advice to you is that when you use your native language as well, use formal language to minimize misunderstandings by Meta agents when they translate the messages they receive from you.

-If your application is having issues, simply reinstall it.

Last week both my Facebook and Instagram account (connected to each other) were suspended.
Reason is not disclosed but it has to do with Facebook (no mention of CSE).

I appealed and tried to verify my identity through Facebook but the problem is that when I created my account in 2008 I used an abbreviation of my last name and never bothered to to modify it to the original. Now the last name on the account on the one on my passport don’t match and it keeps going in circle asking me to verify my identity.

So I went ahead and bought Meta verified on another account just so that I could speak with an agent who was absolutely, totally, utterly useless and said he can’t escalate until I verify my identity first.
He said he understood my situation but “I have to verify my identity first” in order for him to escalate.
Not sure if he has difficulty comprehending or he’s straight up d*mb.

Does anybody have any idea how to work around this? It’s driving me nuts!

So Tuesday morning I woke up to my emails had been hacked which then they hacked Facebook, Instagram, Vinted, shop and Spotify. My Facebook has been disabled, I’ve got emails from 3am Tuesday morning from Meta telling me my account has been suspended due to violation, then another once saying they’ve noted the appeal and approved my account is back then, passwords change etc. all my account moved to account centre all done by the hackers.
I have tried several ways to speak to a human but all I get is AI. Has anyone ever successfully retrieved there account back eventually? If so how?
I get the image when I try to log on, I’ve downloaded the content and it shows ip address of the hackers etc. when I first realised I was hacked of course I reported it and it made me do a face recognition which said could take 48 hours to verify but it’s been over 48 hours it’s been nearly 60

Yesterday I spoke with a Meta support agent and he told me that in order to complete the review of my account, I need to upload my ID card on another account linked to my disabled account (this account is also suspended and I have had an appeal pending since July 19th) via a barcode he sent me and he told me:We are currently reviewing your account details and investigating the issue. Please take your time to complete the security check using the link above, and we will update you here as soon as we make any progress. Once you have completed the on-screen security check, you will be able to regain access to your account. If you need any further assistance or encounter any problems, please feel free to contact us here again."

I already posted here before about my account being in review but the mod removed it for some reason. I filed october 3 then got a reply within the day and already in review since october 3. But just today 10/08 it goes back to received. I don't know whats happening anymore or will they give back my account anymore. This is affecting me mentally and emotionally. My work and business has been affected, all my source of income.

Does anybody got the same issue? How long before they get back to you again? I don't know what to do anymore.
