This does leave us with a lot of questions.

If this just cross-promotion? Is Mante leaving DG outright? Will this be a Eita situation, where he’s initially a DG “representative” but signs with NOAH full-time?

While Jiro Shimbashi is filling the (huge) shoes that Ishikawa left, I am not sure about the clowns and today's [Strong Machine GM].

I think each card should have 1 comedy match at most.

Any thoughts?

I’m assuming they’re DG themes but I’ve never been able to find them. Anyone know what the specific songs are?

From X, with the caption: “Welcome back, PAC”.

Benjamin Satterley & Eiji Ezaki, immortalized by the impact they’ve left on others.

I keep getting confusing messaging on this , it some cases it is and in some cases it’s not? What is the general consensus on this? I would consider it a world title.

Since the beginning of Toryumon, Dragon Kid has been a symbol for the company. He has had his shots at the Dream Gate but still has yet to win it.

With 2027 being the 30th Anniversary of Toryumon and the debut of Dragon Kid I think it would be incredible to finally seize the title.

My dream scenario is him winning at Kobe World next year with the Kobe World Liner. Have his original class mates ringside, it could be amazing.

What are your thoughts on this?

I've been following the puroresu scene for years but I stopped watching wrestling for a while. Now that I'm getting back into it, looking for something new to follow.

I know about the DGUSA era but I've never really followed Dragon Gate itself and surprisingly I know very little about it. There are plenty of good resources about its history and how the shows work but if someone wanted to start following Dragon Gate from its current product, what would you recommend?

Aside from starting with the Kobe show and trying to catch up to the present, how do you think Dragon Gate has been doing this year? What would you say are the important things to watch or follow?

I don't have as much free time as I used to, so I'd really appreciate more specific and selective recommendations rather than being told to watch everything. You can also just ignore all my questions and give me your own recommendations for someone who wants to start following Dragon Gate from scratch. Thank you.

Event: Dragon Gate Crown Gate 2011 (Tag 6)

Location: Osaka, Japan | Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium

➜ This match is remembered as an incredible showcase of aerial athleticism between two defining high-flyers of their generation before they achieved massive global stardom.

Ricochet ended PAC's historic 447-day reign as champion in a bout widely praised for setting a new standard for high-speed, innovative athletic professional wrestling.

Translation:

“Hey, Korakuen—how many of you thought I’d win? The belt stays right here.” “You (Kzy) beat the strongest Kikuta. You beat the iconic YAMATO. That’s exactly why I challenged you. The tables have turned. I’m the champion now. Kzy, keep fighting for another 20 years.”

“PAC is dead. People watch old videos on social media and say, ‘It was more entertaining back then; those days were better’… Screw that. Dragon Gate has plenty of entertaining wrestlers.”

“This is just the beginning. Dragon Gate’s future is just beginning. We’ve even graced the cover of a weekly magazine. Dragon Gate’s future is just beginning. Get ready to be captivated by the future of Dragon Gate—and by me.”

Theme is Evolution - Entering the New World (https://youtu.be/L59HQ7QF9a0?is=r0NhBC7os5Gt\\_vRd)

Yoshiki Kato is the Dream Gate Champion, winning the Belt on his first challenge.

Kzy falls on his first defense 😢

GM Ryo Saito would declare that a tournament will be held to determine a new Brave Gate Champion; the tourney will be comprised of a wrestler from each unit in DG.

Homare of Xensotal Nova, JACKY KAMEI of LOVE&PEACE and Ryu Fuda of Gajadokuro have thrown their hats in the ring to start.

The winner will face Dragon Kid on November 5th in Korakuen Hall to determine the new Brave Gate champion.

After Ryu Fuda managed to defeat ISHIN, he would be asked by Riiita to joint LOVE & PEACE, only for Fuda to attack Riiita, with Gajadokuro officially accepting him into the group.

Big show today with Kzy defending versus Kato and Fuda and ISHIN matched up in a match that feels like its setting up some movement. Wanted to have a page predictions and thoughts as the show goes on.

The two squared off again the following night (March 31, 2012) at DGUSA Mercury Rising in a six-man tag team match, where Low Ki, Akira Tozawa, and BxB Hulk defeated PAC, Ricochet, and Masaaki Mochizuki.

In the light of Pac's unfortunate and untimely passing, I really wanted to get into his Dragon Gate run and also get into Dragon Gate as a whole and add it to my rotation. I plan on watching tomorrow's show in Korakuen but don't really know where to start besides that, was wondering if anyone to give me a briefing on wrestlers and stories going on rn etc etc

La Estrella has been doing international work for a couple years now and I wanted to see if anyone knows of what his current status is. I feel like there is definitely a spot for him in DG right now and a returning hero is always fun.

I would love to see him paired up with Flamita. Either as a team or opponent. I'm just imagining what those two could do together.

PAC, having recently returned to his “home” after his time in WWE, wins the Dream Gate and in his first defense, he faces a man who was seemingly destined to never win the “big one” (until just this year, when “Kzy Time” actually manifested).
