I completed my custom scheme Blighthauler yesterday!

Took inspiration from Dusk Raiders, Beetle Carapace & Cordyceps Fungi.

I’ve got the rhino infested with Nurglings and I thought it’d be cute to cover it in a little graffiti drawn by them. I’ve still got half of it to go and plenty of blank space. If you have any ideas on what to stick on it, I’d love to hear them!

I got a combat patrol a few days ago and I’ve started with the plague marines (which ive somehow never painted before even though I’ve been doing deathgaurd for a year 🙏). I tried some new paints like sigvald burgundy, mortarion grime and agrax earthshade and I just want to know if I’ve hit the mark on making the stinky boys appear cool enough for the table :)

I like them, but I dont know if they're too vibrant, should I add some additional details, rot around them, darker color at the edge, etc.

Hello, everyone. I just had a question about how to build this detachment. I know it runs heavy with poxwalkers and I just wanted to figure out how much is to much and what else I should take with me for backup. I'm just playing for fun with friends, and I think it would be hilarious to run a dawn of the dead mass swarm. I'm at 70 poxwalkers so far.

I prefer to paint in a Grimdark style, aiming for atmosphere over pure edge highlighting.

Grime and weather applied using oils and enamels: Villainy Inks and streaking grime. I also tried the super glue method for the first time. It created some texture inadvertently that I think looks like rot. A happy coincidence 🙂

Some dirty BLTs

Finished my first blight hauler for my Skaven Deathguard.

So happy with how the skin came out on it. Very happy with the armour too. Tried a heat affect on the mental which looks okay.

Still struggling with making the verdigris look right. Does any one have any tips for this?

Still love the old metal models and use them for more narrative games alongside all the new stuff

Im tempted to run a party bus that rushes to the enemy lines and dumps a squad of melee marines (and a leader to buff them) and i was wondering how viable it is? I play mostly casually but every once in awhile I attend local tournaments at my LGS, any advice is appreciated:)

WIP Mortarion. Conflicted on the pink wings. This is obviously just a base coat, so I dont intend on them staying pure pink in the end. What do we think? Is this a good choice for a contrasting color?

This is my kitbashed LoC. There are many out there, but this one is mine. Not meant to be Vorx per se, but he was the template for deciding which parts to use and the overall look.

One of the best things about Warhammer hobby-ing is that each army has so many quirks and details unique to them. As much as it's frustrating that the original LoC sculpt is hardish to find and that Lord Felthius doesn't do it for most people, I'm glad it gave rise to the r/deathguard tradition/rite of passage of kitbashing your own customized Lord of Contagion.

It is not finished, but I am not pleased with how it is turning out. Maybe some guidance will help me proceed. I started with death guard green, then did an all over wash of agrax earth shade. It made it too dirty looking, so I went back over the highlights with death guard again. Then finally edge highlight with nurgling green, but I think my hands are too shaky to do edge highlights

So, I did a thing. I bought the combat patrol and some bits to paint it with. Things got out of hand and I now have 1700 points of Death Guard to build and paint… ooops. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel and method to my madness. My Mrs has gone away with a mate for a week and I’m off work! Should be a fun few days. Wish me luck! I’ll share an update on Thursday next week.
