Hi all,

I picked up a new-in-box Beretta 688 from a Canadian retailer today, but after taking it home, I noticed a small gap on the top rib.

Firearms retailers in Canada generally sell final sale, so I doubt there is any recourse with the vendor.

However, I find the gap distracting since it is right in my sight plane. What does everyone think - is it fixable, or will Beretta/Stoeger warranty an issue like this?

I'm trying to pull the trigger on a new Beretta 686, but going back and forth on which model I should buy.

I've owned a few bird dogs in the past and already on the list to get a pup next year. I'm trying to decide as to whether I should go with a 28' field model vs the 30' sporting model. I'm guessing if i get to hunt 6-8 times a year, that would be about it, and I'm truning 50 this year so hoping to start picking up more clay shooting as I get older...

So looking for some opion's and would appreciate first hand feedback. Thanks!

Basically the title. Left handed firearms are hard to get and I have my eye on a few that don’t come LH. Can I get away with a RH over under for shooting clays with friends?

Super excited about my first gun. I was looking for a sexy over under but this deal was too hard to pass on. How well do you folks think this performs compared to a proper clays competition gun like the 688 or 825. Already thinking about the next one but curious what the verdict is on how much of a difference it will be at the range

Hey yall, has anyone used a supersonic cleaner for their chokes and how did yall like it. I have Briley Spectrum chokes and hoping that it won’t take the coloring off the tips. Anyone have experience or suggestions?

I am looking at getting a new sporting clay gun and looking at both semi and o/u. The orion sporting keeps coming up in searches but it seems way to cheap for what you get. I know it is a Turkish made gun but is it actually a good gun for once a month sporting clays or is it a waste of money.

FYI: other guns I am looking at are a300 Ultima and sx4. Maybe if I can save more the a400 color and browning citori hunter.

Work friends took me to a clay range and Im hooked wanting to go all in. Bought a a400 xtreme plus for hunting birds. Sounds like Ill be walking a lot so I also want to become a beast at shooting and maybe even compete one day. These are the ones that made my over under competetion gun shortlist. Curious what people think:

1. Citori 525 sporting (if I can find it)

2. Citori CXS (good sale rn at Cabelas)

3. Citori 825 sporting pro adjustable

4. Yildiz Pro Star (came up as a Perazzi knock-off)

These the right ones to be looking at? Ideally Im trying to spend 2-3k but not wanting to compromise on having a gun I can love for a long time.

Has anyone tried this stuff? If so, what is your feedback? Always looking for the next best cleaning solution.

Loved everything about my A400 Xcel except the spongy trigger pull and plastic components of the assembly. I called Cole's a couple months ago to get on the list for the steel A400 triggers and it arrived earlier this month. I've had a chance to put roughly a flat of shells through it and I'm beyond pleased with it. The added weight balances the gun nicely for me, and the trigger breaks right away and with just the right amount of force (for me). I'd estimate about a 4lb pull. The gun is an absolute joy to shoot now. $675 + $25 shipping, for me it was worth every penny. I am no pro; my son started shooting trap and skeet earlier this summer with the high school team, and we've shot in a handful of ATA events. If you have an A400 Xcel or Multitarget, you should seriously consider getting on the list for this trigger group!

This is my hunting rifle and am gonna start clay shooting. Anyone have any advice regarding using it for clays? I’d rather not get another shotgun and use my tried and true.

Went to Cedar Creek Clays last week with my son and had a blast. Multiple courses. Great staff. Going to have to bring a couple of flats of ammo next time we come to the area.

And shot 29/50, womp womp. In better news, my fraternal lodge brought home the first place trophy for the second year in a row with this tournament, we fielded 2 teams and the other one did much better lol.

Just got into sporting clays last year and now I’m getting more serious about it. I’m interested in going to see the national tournament in San Antonio to check out everything.

Luckily my wife is going to be out of town on business so I was thinking my son and I can take a road trip over to San Antonio and check it out for a day.

Is this tournament spectator friendly? Is it walkable? Would it be appropriate to have a seven year-old in attendance? Is there any preferred day to attend over the others?

I don't need another gun, but I haven't bought one all year and it makes my itchy. (Bought pistols, but they don't count here)

I like to shoot with the mid rib like the ACS. I like that it keeps my head up. Anyone love their 694ACS or hate it? Would buy a Sporting or Skeet gun, 30", not for trap.

I have been buying the cheapest I can find locally usually federal top gun or Winchester super target (not a lot of options near me). I checked out buying online in bulk and it is cheaper or same price with a much bigger selection.

What brand, model/name, load, shot size etc. do you use?

Kept seeing these online and decided to buy one. Works pretty dang well. Went to the practice field today and blasted off some shells. Decided to try and do the last box of shells at 27 yard. Definitely gonna help figure out misses. Anyone else play around with one of these? It does add a little weight on the barrel end and that did throw me off a bit, but overall I think it will be helpful

Bought a second hand BR110 sporter x With an additional Negrini hard case. It seems to be in great nick. We shall see how it performs on the trap field next week.
