Took my M50 on her first trip, here are a few of my favorite pictures. Still new to photography so any critique is much appreciated.

3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 were shot with the 22mm
1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15 were shot on kit 15-45mm

My first photo with my Canon M50! Still learning my way around the camera, but I’m already having so much fun with it. :)

I found a Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M Lenses (with removable tripod mount) for 65 euro (second hand), I'm very new to the world of photography, is this a decent price for it?

At the moment I only have the 15-45mm lens and want to get a new one. I would mainly use it for street/landscape and travel photography. Any advice on what to buy would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Canon M50 suddenly shut down while my friend was taking photos of me. It won't turn back on. Tried multiple fully-charged batteries and nothing happens. The body makes a continuous clicking sound when it's switched on. Viewfinder and LCD don't open either. I also tried removing the SD card, removing the lens, switching SD cards + batteries + lenses around, and all results are still the same. 🫩 Is this still repairable?

I'm from the Philippines—any recommendations for a decent camera shop would be great, too. Thanks!

Some low light testing with a (new to me) Brightin Star 35mm f/0.95 lens from eBay.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a telephoto lens for my Canon EOS M50 Mark II with a budget under €500 (happy to buy used). My primary use cases are shooting soccer matches of my brother (pitchside) and casual wildlife photography. The conditions will mostly be daylight or evening games under stadium floodlights. I am fine with using an EF-EOS M adapter.

Any recommendations?

My buddy lent me an 8 year old vlogging camera and I got really fixated on how far i could push it. Canon M50 Mark I & Canon EF-M 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM (From the Original EOS M) shooting in the cropped 4k mode.

I know basically all cameras since like 2010 are plenty capable, but was fun to geek out on this.

Downloaded the Filmkit Flat profile on to the camera. Graded with Filmbox Pro and a tiny bit of Lensnode (I tried to be subtle with Lensnode) Downloaded the Filmkit Flat profile on to the camera. I experimented with Technicolor Cinestyle Picture Profile but ended up with Filmkit.

Not the most exciting footage, haha, but trying to get a feel for things and do something more narrative focused.

But all in all, not bad for an 8 bit camera that cant shoot log!

I made the music a while ago. Bitwig & Acustica Audio Synths, Air Windows.

Tweaking and using my CC picture style. I'm loving it. SOOC

If anyone needs the best superzoom on the system, check this deal out!

I hadn't been using my m50 for quite some time and challenged myself to do something about it. I got a Selphy printer and went to the park with a sign saying "Free Dog Portraits" I took about 8-9 total over the course of a few hours. All shot on a Viltrox 56mm.

Hey yall, im pretty new into photography but I knew since the beginning that I wanted a fisheye lens for street stuff. I was wondering what is out there and what recommendations yall have. Thank you for any help!

Last Saturday with the M200 and 18-150. All images SOOC.

One lesson I learned that day: the 18-150 is NOT parfocal. Great for photos, do not recommend it for video work.

Hey guys! A while ago I started a subreddit for all things EF-M and topics that don’t specifically pertain to the M50, but rather the overall camera system. I’ve been slacking with it due to work, but now I’m planning to give it a lot more love and I have so much content to contribute. We need to keep EF-M alive!

Today I posted my entire EF-M system collection for all to see. I think it’s probably one of the most extensive EF-M collections out there today, so please check out r/CanonEFM and lmk what you think. Also, please post your own collections to the community if you can! Thank you!

I recently got the Brightin Star 7.5mm F2.8 lens for my M50 Mark II. It has a rear mount for filters, but I am having a hard time finding 27mm ND filters for rear mount. Does anyone have this lens and know of a good place to source filters for it?

Thanks in advance.

Managed to catch a couple of cute birds

On my trusty original m with some brief but beautiful soft morning light.

Found a reasonably priced version on eBay and decided add it to the lens collection. I am certainly NOT a macro photographer, but really enjoying this lenses’s sharpness and color rendering!

UPDATE: Found the solution. I bought this product from Amazon. I went for the USB C option as it seemed the most flexible. There are other options that use a power brick similar to your laptop, but I felt this was a bit large and maybe heavy. Plus the USB C option will plug into my power bank or even the seat back on an airplane.

I see the Canon has a power adapter for the M50. It looks like a laptop power brick that delivers 5V at 3A. I'm not so much interested in charging the battery in the camera as I am powering the camera when sitting at the computer downloading photos or maybe when doing video shoots.

According to the Canon site the M50 is not compatible with USB chargers, but does anyone know if it will power the camera even if it doesn't charge the battery? There are cheap options for off-brand power adapters, but a USB C cord is cheaper.

The rubber seems to be coming off the corner. Ive owned this cam since 2020. Moderately used. Never abused. What's the solution for this ?

I see covers or metal type things.

I'm looking at the Godox V1 Mid C and the iT32 TTL. Clearly, they are different just by the price alone. The V1 is double the cost of the iT32 but has a couple of features that look attractive. A couple of the obvious differences appear to be lack of zoom on the iT32, replaceable battery on the V1, larger battery on the V1, magnetic attachment on the iT32.

Anything else I'm missing that might be important? How badly am I going to miss zoom if I go with the iT32? The replaceable battery seems like a good option but I'm not sure I will be using the flash enough to need a second battery. The iT32 is rated for 500 flashes though I suspect it won't necessarily get exactly 500. Still, that seems more than I'll need in a day.

The iT32 looks like a great deal and I like the magnetic attachment but the V1 does have some extra features like zoom and replaceable batteries that might be nice. But are they worth double the price?
