I'm looking to get some speakers for both indoors and (occasionally) outdoors use.
I'm considering either a pair of HK Onyx 8's for stereo sound or a HK Go+Play 3.
Importantly, loudness is not a huge concern for me; I'm much more interested in the sound quality between the two. I do not host huge outdoors events where I'd need something extremely loud.
I know the GP3 is better than a single Onyx 8, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with a pair and how they compare.

Hey all, pretty straightforward here, I have had the Tower 5, but exchanged for the Tower 7, but I think I may actually prefer two Tower 5's for the portability and being able to do stereo sound. Also, the Tower 7, especially on ULT 1 mode is borderline too much bass for in my house unless I adjust the EQ. I'm looking for opinions/advice/wisdom that I may not have thought about before I decide to do one last exchange or not here

I was messing around with the EQ settings after owning it at least 1.5 yr now. From what I've seen discussed online and video reviews everyone seems to decide on Ult 2 setting as the best sound. I saw RTings review frequency response test and it was also tested in this mode. I've also never updated any f/w on this speaker.
I played around with the custom EQ and found a decent sound but still found ULT 2 just really being the best I heard until... I enabled Stamina mode! Now hear me out I've done this on other Sony BT speakers and they usually sound anemic but in some cases it mellows out the bass enough for the clarity to really shine which is what I found in this case. There's still definitely bass present on the 7 but the clarity & SQ is what I'm enjoying.
Has anyone else tested or experienced this setting or am I the only 1 because I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere?

Hello I wanted to share a idea I had to the community!
So if tuner XL had a upgrade here are my suggestions/predictions
Bluetooth 5.3 + Auracast multi-speaker linking:
I would expect a Bluetooth upgrade and since XL 1 doesn't have auracast why not add that as a feature
Rugged fabric body and a tougher IP68 dust/waterproof rating:
The current XL has no fabric body why not add that soft fabric body on the speaker phone would love it and make it stronger somehow
Fun lifestyle colorways like Dynamic Orange and Dark Blue:
Instead of only selling black and white why not add more colors
App-controlled display settings to customize fonts and text:
Having the same pixel text could be boring why not make it customized since it's a LCD screen
Proper Bluetooth track metadata display instead of just showing a generic logo:
The current tuner doesn't have a now playing feature if you use Bluetooth and Spotify why not add that feature also
So that's my ideas on how XL 2 might be

My 14-year-old Big Jambox stopped charging and started to disintegrate. Eventually it wouldn't pair.
Everyone warned me. But I got tired of research. Decision paralysis.
I was certain that a same-size Bose made 14 years after the Big Jambox had to be better. But everyone who warned me was right.
I don't have the world's biggest living room. Probably lots of wealthy people have bedrooms twice the size of my living room.
But the Big Jambox filled the room. So great. I never even thought about it. I didn't have to crank it up super loud, either.
In comparison, the Bose Soundlink Plus (at the same volume) is like, "oh, there's some noise coming out of that box in the corner..." And no I'm not going to play the music super loud to compensate.
I'm not someone who likes to crank the bass and I guess that's Bose's big thing.
Anyway, thanks everyone for the warning. I ignored you, and regret it.

Hi all,
I have recently got a Sonos Move 2 as a potential upgrade from my Earfun UBOOM L, and it feels like the Sonos is much more capable, yet somehow music sounds weak, esp. voices. Does anyone have tips on how to set up the equalizer or maybe use a third party app to make the speaker sound more balanced, the way that Oluv's tuning works for uboom L?

Anyone have it yet?
Starting to see reviews on YouTube. The design looks great and I like how they have 3D printing designs if you want to make your own cover, knobs, etc.
Sounded good on the videos I've seen but looking forward to some audio reviews as well.
This is what I mean by trying some new approaches to Bluetooth speakers. Looks like they may have a winner on their hand.
Your thoughts?

Verizon has these bad boys for $55 a piece. I havw ready they can pair together for true stereo sound. For my back yard and patio gatherings, is there a better option out there on the used or refurbished market?

My backyard is long and narrow, about 200 ft long by 20 ft wide. The main “entertaining” area is ~150 ft long. We back up to the woods, but do have neighbors pretty close on the one side that I don’t want to bother too badly. Not sure if I can get away with one or if I should get one for each side?
Looking for a budget recommendation (<$200 total) and a not-budget recommendation to upgrade (literally any $$). USA.

I bought the Soundcore Select 4 Go speaker initially and can link two together, but limited to that.
I'd like to get a full set of speakers I can place in every room in my apartment and link together, so good inter-connectivity.
The 5 Watt of the Soundcore is more than enough for me, and it is a great speaker.
I know there is the:
JBL Go 4
Beyond that I'm not sure.
Any recommendations?

Hey I'm not gonna be here for long since i just need to find something. Does anyone know a portable speaker that plays a video inside it that you can control except there's no screen and the video plays inside the grilles? Like each square on the grilles lights up with each pixel on the video and i assume you put the video with Bluetooth.
I saw this cool Project Sekai player have it at the arcade i was at.

It looks something like this except you control the video?

I need a speaker to complete my room makeover. Based on my current research, the UE Boom L is the best value for money. Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I want this speaker for Christmas, so I checked eBay to see how much I need to save, and I’m finding them for around $200 unopened, while they’re $400 on Amazon.
Now my question is, is there a reason why they’re 50% off on eBay? Considering everyone seems to like it compared to the Extreme 4, they even offer free returns.
I wanna buy one, but I don’t want to find out two weeks later that this model is defective and that’s why they’re going for so low.
I need your opinion, and I’d like to know if anyone has bought one on eBay.

Hey guys. Was planning to get a speaker. Found rave neo 2 by soundcore on Amazon. Anyone has any experience with it and is it any good? Saw some reviews about a hissing noise when nothing is playing. How bad is it? Is it minor? Can you hear it from a distance and hear it even behind music?
Also otherwise, how do you like the speaker. Worth ordering? And any other alternatives? It is not returnable btw.

I'm looking for a speaker with a unique look similar to early 2000s sound systems but with Bluetooth and aux and good/decent bass just to play music can be whatever size I just can't find any speakers with this style with reviews, that's mainly what matters I don't care for any other extra features
