BOTulism

As many of you are aware, this subreddit has been overrun by bots lately. Moderators have implemented both automated and manual controls. We have also added a report category for AI/bots. If you think that you see a bot, please report it. If the bot is providing misinformation, please correct the misinformation.

Please do NOT call out the response as a bot. For one, it feels very un-excellent to real humans who get called out and that's not how we want to welcome new users. And more importantly, as someone who works extensively with LLMs (ethically, in a closed proprietary system) in my day job, when you call out a bot and explain why you think it's a bot, you are training that bot to better escape detection.

Posts with a certain number of reports will be automatically removed. Human moderators will review the rest. We['re sorry that this is happening. It's a sitewide problem and we're a big subreddit with a lot of text-based information, so bots love it.

Question How are we dealing with nipples through unlined bras? Spoiler

I am in love with my Elomi bra, I have never felt so comfortable and content. However, the bra is unlined and my nipples show through. I have been using nipple covers (brand nippies) but it’s honestly a hassle.

Does elomi or a similar brand have padded options? It’s not clearly noted if the bras are lined or not and my “smooth molded” bra is unlined. Or are there any simple solutions? The nipple covers are huge to fit my boobs and taking time in the morning to get a good fit then handwashing at night is just not ideal or feasible in every circumstance. They also retain sweat or something

ETA I don’t care at all outside of work, but I am a healthcare profession in a setting where (unfortunately and sexistly!) it would be inappropriate

Discussion Waist to band size logic: why it’s normal to have 23” waist but 28” band isn’t standard? Spoiler

I’m really tired having limited options in 28 band size. I don’t understand why it’s not a standard size in all bra brands? Many don’t even have 30 which is crazy! I spent years wearing 34 mainly because I never saw anything smaller in stores so I thought this must be the smallest.

Don’t tell me it’s because of the +4 method because even under this logic it doesn’t make any sense; almost all jeans brand offers 23”/24” by adding 4 inches it becomes 28 or maybe it can be pushed to 30 at most. I say this while I don’t even wear the smallest waist size but why my band is considered smallest and is very limited?

It doesn’t make any sense.

Recommendations? Boux Avenue size recommendations for 30D/DD Spoiler

I recently placed an order from Boux Avenue for a bunch of 28DD bras (since that was the size the ABTF calculator gave me), but none of them fit me. Their bands were way too tight for me, and it was super hard to breathe even though it was on the last clasp. (I knew people said their bras ran small, but unfortunately I risked it. Oops!)

However, their bras are super cute, so I’m planning on returning the bras and just sizing up. I’m US-based, so unfortunately I can’t do a size exchange.

Specially, I’m planning to repurchase the Emma lace balconette bra and the Millie Lace super push up plunge bra. Based on my measurements, should I get a 30D or a 30DD? For reference, I have the Chantelle Festivite lace plunge bra in 30D and it fits me perfectly. If your measurements are similar to mine, please let me know what size you got in these styles! Thank you!!

Measurements:
Loose: 29in/73.66cm
Snug: 28.5in/72.39cm
Tight: 26in/66.04cm
Standing: 32in/81.28cm
Leaning: 34in/86.36cm
Lying: 32in/81.28cm

Measurement Check Got 38GGin UK sizing from the calculator and was wondering if my measurements line up. Spoiler

• Upvotes

Hi, I have been struggling with being able to find a bra that fits since gaining weight. The problem I've noticed is that the armpit area of my bra becomes loose? And I have so spillage on that side. I have some boob that peaks out the bottom of my bra and also toward the center. The straps are constantly falling down, and toward the end of the day, it feels like my boobs are waying my bra down. I've resorted to just wearing sports bras, but I really want to find a bra that fits. I took my measurements and got a 38 GG UK size. I just wanted to know if my measurements line up and where I can find bras. I'm in the US

Loose underbust: 39 in.

Snug underbust: 38 in.

Tight underbust: 36 in.

Standing bust: 47.5 in.

Leaning bust: 50 in.

Lying bust: 46 in.

Center full

Measurement Check [Measurements] Seeking thoughts on Ultimate Strapless Bra from Wonderbra for a 85I chest girl (FR measurements, 32G in GB) Spoiler

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I'm French, and I am struggling to find bras/strapless bras that fits me: I'm wearing a 95D rn (36D in GB, I think), and I know that it's not my size. My breasts are compressed against my body, and I have several marks from the bra on me. I have a sagging chest, and my breasts are far apart (I mean, I have space between them). I measured myself again: According to the calculator from ABTF, I should be an 85I (32G in GB).

I wanted to know if you guys tested the Ultimate strapless bra from Wonderbra as well. Any thoughts to share? If someone have the same size as me, did you take a smaller size, or just like your size? I think maybe for strapless bras we need to size down, right?

Thanks a lot for your help !!!

Measurement Check Measurement check [30G]. Recommendations for tall root / projected breasts, please! Two “professional” fittings left me more confused. Spoiler

I’d given up on wearing a “real bra” for the last decade, but I came across this sub and felt inspired to give it another try. Based on the resources in the wiki, I think I’ve determined that I have projected breasts, center full/maybe mildly full on top, center/narrowly set (very little space between breasts), with tall roots. The calculator put me at 30G/H in US sizing, measurements below:

Loose Underbust: 31”
Snug Underbust: 30”
Tight Underbust: 28”
Standing Bust: 36.5”
Leaning Bust: 40”
Lying Bust: 36”

That said, I went to two local shops today that had “professional” bra fitters. At the first shop, when I suggested I might be a 30G, she looked at me and was like ”No, I really don’t think you are…” and proceeded to explain that she goes off look and feel v. measurements. We probably tried on 15-20 bras ranging from 30E to 36C and everything in between. The fitter admitted she hadn’t faced a “challenge” like me in some time and was having a hard time finding what I needed. I ultimately purchased yet another bralette (Wacoal 36C-I think?) because it was the only option that truly sat directly up under my breasts and provided support. At the next shop, I didn’t even suggest what I thought my size could be and just let the fitter do their thing. That was a bit better experience, and ultimately I bought a “real bra” (Chantelle Nora Chic Plunge 32E). I’m on the fence about it, but seemed to be the best of the bunch so I figured I’d take it home and see how I feel after more than 5 minutes in it.

For context, I also tried on the Freya Poise High Apex bra in 32E and while it mostly fit well, I didn’t like the pressure of the gore on my sternum or how high the outer edge of the cups came up. The bottom gapping was less of an issue in this one and so was the spillage/quad boob.

Of the bras I tried today, almost all the following issues/negatives:
- Bottom of the cup gapping/bunching despite almost always spilling over the top or having that lovely quad-boob effect (bras without any padding or shaping seemed to help with that the most- i.e. lace and mesh were better)
- Gores that were too high and/or too wide, pushing into/on-top of my breast tissue (plunges seemed to be the best solution).
- Cups that came up too high/dug into armpit
- Wire sat down too far below breast tissue, which I’d try to remedy by hoisting up, but then didn’t fit right elsewhere.
- Wire/cup often seemed too wide for my breasts, going further under the armpit than my tissue, so I wasn’t adequately supported.
- Full cup coverage seemed to keep my breasts lower and flatter on my chest, and felt less supportive — I think because they had the most prominent bottom cup gapping/sat too low.

I think I need options that are better for more projected, center full, tall root chests. Open to ANY and all suggestions and feedback. If it matters, I am 5’6” approx 135 lbs. I can almost sit my breasts entirely on top of my hand when placed underneath and when pushed up and supported (what I feel like) they sit quite high with the center mass being almost at my armpit bend — probably a weird description but wanted to try and provide as much context as possible 😅 please feel free to correct or challenge any of my assumptions about my shape/size, I may be way off base.

Please help!

Question Has Bravissimo changed their hook-eye closure part? Spoiler

English is not my first language so I might be using the wrong terms. I have had the luck to go to the UK recently and found an awesome bra at Bravissimo. My best fitting bra to date was a bra I bought at Bravissimo in 2018 and I loved it. The one I got now is awesome as well but one thing I noticed while trying on bras: the little flap after the first row of eyes in the back is shorter? And as the bra pulls, the hooks rub against my skin. I don't remember having this problem before. I also didn't have this problem while trying on Elomi or Panache. Has anyone else noticed this?

Measurement Check Currently wearing 38DD, calculator says 40DD Spoiler

Hi everyone!

Used AI to write the post since English is not my first language.

I’m based in the USA but of Indian descent and have mostly been wearing bras from Savage X Fenty by Rihanna in size 38DD.
My current bras feel fairly comfortable, but I’ve noticed that the underwire doesn’t sit directly underneath my breasts, in the breast fold. I hadn’t paid much attention to this before, but now I’m wondering if I’ve been wearing the wrong size or if the bra shape just isn’t right for me.
I tried the ABraThatFits calculator, and it recommended 40DD.

My six measurements (in inches):

Loose underbust: 40
Snug underbust: 38.5
Tight underbust: 37
Standing bust: 44
Leaning bust: 47
Lying bust: 44.5

Current bra: Savage X Fenty, 38DD
Calculator recommendation: 40DD

My current 38DD feels comfortable overall, but I would really like to find a better-fitting, more supportive bra.
I have a few questions:

Does 40DD seem like a reasonable starting point based on my measurements?
Since the underwire doesn’t sit properly in my breast fold, could this be a cup size or shape issue rather than a band size issue?
Should I also try 38DDD (US) / 38E (UK)?
What bra brands or specific styles would you recommend that are available in the USA? I’m open to trying brands other than Savage X Fenty.

I’m still learning about breast shape and projection, so any advice on figuring that out would also be appreciated.

Thank you so much! I’d love to finally find a bra that fits properly.

Recommendations? Recs for a better fit than Natori Bliss Spoiler

The last few years, I’ve exclusively owned Natori Bliss Perfection bras. I like how seamless they are and they’ve been a good fit. Lately, I’m noticing more gapping at the top. Not sure if they are starting to get old and stretched, or I am 😂 (just turned 40).

I just redid my measurements and it is still the same as a few years ago: 32G. I have a b tempt'd wacoal demi bra that honestly fits like a dream, but I hate that it only comes in lace… I feel like it shows texture through most of my tops.

Any recs of other bras to try? Looking for seamless, tan/beige options. I’m overwhelmed by the options.

Other info: kind of projected, slightly fuller on bottom (though close to even), kind of have the east / west thing going on.

Recommendations? Thoroughly shocked, not appalled by my bra size and nervous to buy my first correctly fitting bra Spoiler

So i have, in my opinion, irregular bra measurements. My band is approximately a 26 and my bust is a 34 (at the time of writing i took these measurements a while back so there is the possibility they have changed or i miss remember) however my bra size for US was recommended at a 26I (using the ABraThatFits calculator) and im honestly shocked, ive always known the one wired bra i had didnt fit well, at a C cup but i assumed i was just a D or DD. I want to try and buy a bra that would fit me but even after measuring myself at least 15 times and getting the same result im worried ill buy a bra in my size and it will be to big or not fit right as i am a petite woman and most bras only go down to a 28 from what ive seen.

Thoughts?

I went bra shopping, and I feel like they tried to just sell me bras Spoiler

So, my ABTF size in EU is ~65I (UK 30G).

I went to CHANGE, and since their sizing is very odd, I told the lady she could measure me. She did, and sized me at a 65G, which I was already wearing, and the cups are too small. I told her it didn’t really fit well, and gave me a 65H. I knew it was slightly too small, the gore wasn’t fitted, but their bras are very wide and I’m quite close set. I told her the cups felt too small, and she told me she could give me a 70G 🤦‍♀️ and I said okay, and tried on a few bras. She said they fitted well in the size, but my “sister size” (70G) might fit better. Well, I left.

Went to another store in another location, told I was sized to 65H, but the cups are too small, and I was almost given a 70H. I was clear I wanted to try a 65I, because only the cups were too small. She gave me a bra in that size, and told me the size was correct? It was the exact same style as in the other shop. She shape is definitely wrong for me, the underwire goes very far back and I can’t fill the bottom of the cup but am spilling in the front. She gave me a few very low/plunge bras to try, they fit better, but I left again.

So. My conclusion is that, I’m likely close set, and projected, since these bras were too shallow. Any brand ideas? Thanks

Update: I ordered a Panache Ana bra in 28H, and a Freya Cherish Me bra in 28GG (just found it cute, and description said it fits well for close set) from Bravissimo, since it seems shipping and such isn’t too much of a hassle to Europe. I hope the import taxes or duty fees aren’t too high 🫠

Recommendations? I’m having a hard time finding a good strapless push-up bra for 32D Spoiler

I bought the luckmeey bra off of tiktok shop—the one with the front clasp but unfortunately it just compresses my chest instead of adding the cleavage that everybody’s been raving about. i’ve considered purchasing the one that laces up in the front but have been holding back from hesitation. Does anybody have a good recommendation?

Measurement Check measurement check? struggling to find cute bras that actually fit or ANY bras that actually fit for that matter. calculator says i'm a 34HH UK size or sister size 32J Spoiler

tight underbust: 33in

standing bust: 47in

leaning bust: 48in

lying bust: 44in

im 19yrs old and live in australia. i have had trouble with my chest ever since puberty to the point where people were accusing me of stuffing my bra in primary school. my mum also has a large chest (it sags quite a lot so i know that will also inevitably be me eventually). its my genetics + my medications (which i cant get off because of mental health reasons). i find underwire balconette bras to be the most comfortable. i would love to try a minimiser bra one day. anyways, stores always put me in much smaller bras just so they can make a sale :/ i'm willing to shop ANYWHERE at this point. the calculator said to post here just in case its results weren't accurate. i dont exactly wanna spend an arm and a leg but i suppose i will if i have to. i do love the style of risa magli bras but i havent had a good experience with padded bras nor do i think they will actually ACTUALLY fit me. anyone have any advice for where to look? what to do? anyone a similar size? help :(

Question I think my pain is being caused by my bra, has anyone else had this experience? Spoiler

Hello all, apologies if this kind of post has been done before! I’ve been having an intense pain on the right side of my sternum, sort of right where my underwire hits. It started as a dull, sometimes itchy pain internally about 2-ish months ago (at the earliest).

On occasion, usually as I move to lay on my right side in bed, I will have an incredibly strong, sharp, and hot pain in this one spot. It almost feels like a mini internal explosion. But today, for the first time outside of my home, I went to sit down in my car and I felt it. I am getting a bit nervous; I’m only 21, I don’t have huge boobs or anything, I am a 36 DD, but I do think that the bras I have are likely inadequate. My most used bra is a Wacoal that fits decently, and my other bra is a cheap Vanity Fair t-shirt bra that seems to be a bit too small. I barely used the latter, but after my pain started, I have used it more than the Wacoal. The issue remains, so I’m not sure if the bras and pain are related.

My mom suspects that it’s muscular, maybe caused by my bras, and my doctor felt around yesterday and felt nothing. I just want to put out some feelers and see if anyone out there has also experienced a similar pain and resolved the issue with a new bra. Sorry if this post is annoying, but thanks in advance for any possible help!

Question [Question] discontinued bra- recommendations for similar fit? Spoiler

Recommendations? My holy grail bralette from discontinued. Can anyone recommend a replacement? Spoiler

A few years back I purchased a bralette from Cosabella. It is/was the BEST bralette for my 38H rack - comfortable, soft, good coverage, reasonable lift, and with SEPARATION between the girls.

The name of the bra is the Hallie by Cosabella x Free People. I can't figure out how to post a pic, but the ad is still up on their site: https://blog.cosabella.com/cosabella-and-intimately-free-people-collection/.

Does anyone know of any similar bras in this style and size? I can't believe I haven't been able to find anything comparable.

Edited: Well I'm dumb and I put down the wrong name. I'm looking for the Hallie bra.Third pic down if you're looking at the Cosabella website. Here's another (apparently discontinued) Cosabella that looks just like it: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cosabella-Womens-Talco-Curvy-Racie-Halter-Bralette-Style-TALCO1353/884602764

I detest the stretch lace that Cosabella uses. I really like how this one was totally full coverage, opaque, not too stretchy, and in a cottony fabric!

Shape Help Bras are always too wife for me Spoiler

Hello.

I had perfectly fitting bras from understance like 2-3 years ago but since I gained weight, I cant find one that actually fits.

I calculated my size to be 32HH and I have tried a bra in this size and it definitely was the right SIZE but the issue is I find that all bras since I gained weigh will fit size-wise but they're SO WIDE that the straps are digging into my arms from the front like when I reach down to grab something. The newest bra I got that was 32HH has this problem and even though I like the size, I don't like the feeling that its SO WIDE hurting my arms, limiting my range of motion, and the underwire extends into my armpit..... I think I need a bra for narrow roots/projected breasts with even fullness but I just cant seem to find accurate description of bras online to make an informed decision to purchase one.

The bra I just bought was a fantasy bra and I think all their bras give me this issue.

Fit Check Fit check/ first bra since using the calculator. 42JJ/42N Spoiler

With the underwire lifting, I'm assuming that it's the wrong size, but I'm unsure if that means it's too big or too small. It does feel a bit uncomfortable around where the underwire is, but it's not necessarily uncomfortable at the band. When I did the calculator, it listed me as a 42N/42JJ

Measurements are in inches

Loose underbust: 45.5

Snug underbust: 42.5

Tight underbust: 40.5

Standing bust: 56

Leaning bust: 60

Lying bust: 57

Seeking bras like Natori Revive Spoiler

I have quite pendulous breasts (really, extra skin on my breasts) following massive weight loss. My current size post weight loss is 34DD (used the calculator-so helpful!). Many types of bras don’t work well for me post weight loss because of the skin laxity—for example, my breasts just kind of puddle into a balconette or plunge bra and the cleavage looks wrinkly and strange. I discovered Natori Revive bras and they work super well for me. What I like about them is that they are thin and stretchy (I find structured/seamed bras less comfortable for all day wear) but the combination of the underwire plus the fairly symmetrical triangular top of the cup gives me some shape without strange wrinkles. I discovered when I went to replace mine that the Natori Revive is being discontinued. Does anyone have thoughts on similar styles I might try?

Fit Check Problems getting accurate size Spoiler

I measured myself multiple times and got a 36 C. Kinda strange since I've always had problems fitting into even an A cup. I ordered a bra from Amazon and it fits horribly. I have always bought a 38 A, but they are basically impossible to find. So I guess my only options are bralettes or sports bras. Kind of disappointing. I dont know why no one makes bras in my size. I was really hopeful when I found the calculator but it doesn't work for me at all. The sides of the bras dug into my armpits and the cups were too big. I am not transitioning BTW. Thst is my God-given size, unfortunately.

Recommendations? Need recs for sizing down as I've lost weight and my fav bra doesn't come in the smaller band size (34->32) Spoiler

So I have been wearing the Sculptresse Bliss in 34GG but I have lost some weight and the bra is finally feeling far too lose on the band and a bit too snug in the cup to the point where it is actually extremely uncomfortable.

Measurements: loose 35, snug 34, tight 32, standing 45, leaning 51, laying 47

The calculator is now putting me in 32J or JJ. I have very squishy tissue and a high root. The other issue is that I am a swimmer so I have larger traps so my bra straps like to slide off. This bra WAS PERFECT and of course they don't make it in a 32 band because that would be too easy.

I would like suggestions for bras that solve these issues in the 32 band, please and thanks!

* large traps cause straps to slide

* high root

* squishy tissue with a lot of projection

* to throw a curveball at y'all I don't like racerbacks

Recommendations? Brand recommendations for small band sizes? Spoiler

Hello,
I recently measured and used the calculator to get the recommended size (UK 26C /sister size 28B).

I currently wear a 30A (Aerie brand, bought online, not sponsored) and struggle with fullness at the top as well as the band being too big and sliding up. I live in the US so the major brands (VS, PINK, etc) only go down to a 32” bands online and in store.

Can anyone suggest more brands? I found only a random pair of BEBE girls brands (marked 30A) that fit perfectly but are very thin (no other indicators of type but I’d assume it’s an everyday wear) I bought from Ross once. TYIA!

The 6 measurements are =

• 27”
• 26.5”
• 24”
• 29.25”
• 29.75”
• 29.25”
(Converted to decimals)

Recommendations? Why is it so hard to find a 28-band bra size? Spoiler

So embarrassingly I have never purchased a "real" bra before (only bralettes). I've measured my underbust (28 inches) and overbust (33 inches), which online says I am a 28DD or 28E. However, its so hard to find this size online or in store (especially for nice looking ones).

I heard sister sizes were a thing but I don't know how a larger band size would fit properly? And tips?

Im from Australia

I expect nothing less from Pepper but it frustrates me that they’re making “badly fitting bras” their selling point!
