I got this -70% discount on the yi skin although even 5 pounds is a lil too much for me to spend on an ingame skin,
If you got any unused €5 gift cards you can give me, I'd love you a ton.
I could send you pictures of my cat in return.

This might be weird, but I kinda feel like I’m a little boosted with Yi. I played other champs like fiddle, Zac, etc. and I liked them alright. But then I started playing yi, and yi skyrocketed me from bronze 3 to silver 1. I started taking the game much more serious, watching more vods, Sinerias, other jungle content. And I tried other champs and they just didn’t click. I like how yi team fights, waiting for your moment, I like how farming is usually the best call for him. His whole kit just fits for me. But my friends lowkey denounce my progress because they claim “yi is easy”. Idk I’m on the cusp of hitting gold, I usually get fed almost every game (I have a 73% wr with Yi in 41 games). Yall ever experience this? Also sidebar any advice to help me hit gold would be much appreciated!
Any of you play him there? I don't play him, but he's always killing everyone. The game mode practically ensures you're never behind with how much passive gold and catchup it has. I'm playing with diamonds, but Yi seems one of the best champions to be even or ahead on in this mode. You just go crit, and Alpha into the first undodagable auto does 2k dmg before you even start attacking.

disclaimer: mostly played duo with my friend who plays heca jungle and carried a lot of the games, esp. in the end

Hi after a long pause like 3 years I don't remember I came back I saw that now people are building crit because of 25% crit change and the buff of IE,I tried the build but I have a feeling that it doesn't click like on hit am I missing something? I don't know if it is the lack of attack speed of something else? Thoughts?

Why would someone go black cleaver instead of rageblade on Yi?

On-Hit still feels pretty viable to me if the enemies aren't assassins. Will always be my favourite style to play with Yi.
Crit build just doesnt have the same feeling of satisfaction. Here most of the enemies were tanky or hard to kill, so I picked it up again and got a pentakill.
And yes I know 5 AS items arent required but I needed more Q. Was planning on Steraks or Guardian as 6th item.
Been away for 2 years. I checked out Sinerias since he was my fav Yi OTP, but holly molly I do not even recognise this man anymore.
He barely plays Yi, and he changed from being a reasonably collheaded humble person to this guy who Q-s into the enemy team, dies, then shouts at his teamates like a 5 year old on steroids. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that he is a bad player, but oh man... his Yi games are horrible (he plays like 1 yi game/stream) and he is annoying to watch.
I tried watching Cowsep, but he is soooooo bored of this game that he is just doing stupid builds for views while trying to have fun (hint: he still hates it).
There is not a single youtuber/streamer who OTPs Yi anymore and tries to really cl8limb with him.
Also, there is not a single guide on Yi atm.
Wtf happened in the last 2 years?
Also, this sub died aswell or what?
I guess it’s just a fun build but is it actually good? Planning to try it for fun but haven’t done so yet..what do you think of this build?

Hello dear reeditors,
I see a lot of yi mains building guinsoo's if playing LT/on hit. Is it still a good choice despite the bug ? Shouldn't Kraken into Botrk/terminus be more optimal ?
Thank you !

When I last played him the most popular keystone was Lethal Tempo and his build was kraken>rageblade>hexplate>DD/wits
Why did the build change? Was it the Q crit dmg buff that pushed it over the edge? And why is HOB still taken post nerfs?
E: Anti-tank of course. Curse you Reddit for not letting me edit the title
I'm fine to blind Yi first even though I know support will go for the inevitable Leona or Pantheon. Generally I think the Cho'Gath matchup itself is also playable unless he gets fed early.
However yesterday I had the most miserable experience against a K'Sante+Galio. Our Varus got taken out of the game early and I felt like I did negative damage.
Yi is (was?) often said to be a premier tank shredder and I feel that with health stackers like Mundo and Sion. The on-hit build with BorK will melt them. And I think it works with Cho if I can avoid his silence.
But playing into true tanks that can actually hit back (K'Sante, Galio, not Ornn) feels absolutely miserable. When I think about it the only idea I have would be to rush LDR second, but it still sounds as fun as pushing a needle under your toenail.
What should I do in these matchups?

I have been scratching my head around this one. Kraken always felt like a on-hit build item to me. While I understand that kraken gives something that helps Yi early on i.e. AD and AS which also helps his clears, I still feel like phantom dancer is a good alternative provided that it gives crit and movement speed (I usually go bootless on yi).
So for a crit build you can rush collector and then phantom dancer and then IE in all games (that's 75% crit). This leaves you with 3 slots. One goes for crit (LDR if enemy have bruisers, shieldbow if they have burst, fiendhunter if they are squishy/assassin/or u need more move speed to catch up). Slots 5 and 6 go to defensive items like Maw, DD, GA, Steraks, wits end.
Alternatively, if you have a good start, start with yuntal into collector, IE and fourth could be phantom or any of the above as stated. Start yuntal for good start cz the BF sword component in yuntal is a real pain early game build up.
Let me know your thoughts.

With the reversion of the AH-scaling in 26.19, I had an idea to compare Alpha Strike over the years across different major milestones/reworks. Note that for 12.5 and 12.13, the hot-fixed values were taken instead.
Initial observations:
The current version is considerably weaker early given its base damages have been nerfed throughout the years, but scales better at higher levels and when factoring in items. The damage ceiling is much higher right now with critical damage scaling at 200% (modified to 230%) with IE and being able to apply on-hit effects when compared to the first version.
The QoL additions of cast-time removal and repositioning enabled better skill expression, and made him less clunky to play. Though the removal of the cast-time did mean disjointing CC's is no longer possible.
In a vacuum, this is probably the strongest iteration of Alpha Strike to date. But of course, other things like items and runes also play a huge role, so it should not be taken purely at face value.

I went on a 12 win streak today using Master Yi and hit diamond for the first time. Same first three items every game. Kraken > Rageblade > Hexplate. Lethal tempo.
I struggled a lot with hail of blades crit Yi even though it’s meta.

Just wanna show u clean quadra kill and to say that W is the most broken thing about yi. Dont use W just for att reset, predict enemy`s attacks. This is emerald 3 game btw.

Genuine question, so don’t flame me! Why go HoB crit over the Lethal Tempo attack speed build?
Wouldn’t the crit build have lower Q uptime in fights since you’re getting less attack speed? Doesn’t the AS build let you spam Q more consistently? Just curious why you’d go crit over AS.
