I had something really weird happen at a thrift store and I’m curious what other spiritual people or people who are really sensitive to energy think about it.
For context I’m a pretty spiritual person and I’ve always been really sensitive to energy. Sometimes I can just feel things from people, places, objects, etc and sometimes I just know things that I genuinely can’t explain. I also try not to immediately assume everything is spiritual though because obviously not everything is.

So I was at a thrift store with my friend and we were walking past this shelf with dolls and stuffed animals. I started getting really dizzy in that specific area but didn’t think much of it because the store was super cluttered and sometimes being around that much stuff can overwhelm me anyway. But I also kept feeling this weird pull toward that shelf and I just ignored it.

Not even a minute or two later two stuffed animals literally flew off the shelf. And I don’t mean they slowly tipped over or slipped off. They flew. My friend saw it too and we both just looked at each other like okay that was weird 😭

So I went over to pick them up and put them back and that’s when I noticed this Native American girl doll behind them. The second I saw her I felt CRAZY energy coming off of her. Like genuinely one of the strongest feelings I’ve ever gotten from an object. It felt really dark and heavy and almost malicious? Evil doesn’t feel like quite the right word but it was definitely intense and not comforting at all.

The weird part is I also felt extremely drawn to her.
My first thought was basically well if something knocked those stuffed animals down so she could be noticed then fine 😭 so I kind of just played along with it. I picked her up and moved her toward the front of the shelf and sat her upright so she was actually visible.

I even joked with my friend about taking her home because for some reason I REALLY wanted her, even though another part of me was basically saying absolutely tf not. I’m not about to knowingly bring something home when I have no idea what I’m dealing with.

I did take a picture of her though because I thought she was really interesting. Then we left the store.

Almost immediately after leaving my nose started GUSHING blood. Like not a normal little nosebleed. It was literally running out of my nose like water and took around half an hour to actually stop. I also got this horrible headache and felt like I was going to throw up. And I basically never get nosebleeds. I genuinely cannot remember the last time I had one before this besides knowing it had to have been years ago.

Then when I got home I looked at the pictures again and noticed there were THREE pictures of the doll.
I know for a fact I purposely only took one. Obviously it’s completely possible I accidentally hit the button a couple extra times without realizing it, so I’m not saying pictures magically appeared on my phone lol. But seeing that after everything else had already happened made me feel even more uncomfortable.

At that point I had this really strong feeling that I did not want the pictures on my phone anymore.
So I tried deleting them and my phone kept crashing while I was trying to delete them. It took me a few tries before they were actually gone and I did NOT like that 😭

Again, could absolutely just be my phone being my phone, but in the moment after everything else it freaked me out.

Once I finally got them deleted I cleansed myself and prayed while I was doing it. After that I started feeling better and I’ve felt completely normal since.
I’m literally getting goosebumps typing this out right now which is making me feel dramatic as hell lol but I’ve genuinely never had an experience like this before.

I know the nosebleed, headache, extra pictures and my phone crashing can all have completely normal explanations individually. I’m not trying to say this doll was 100% haunted or possessed or anything like that.

It was just the entire sequence of events together, plus how strongly I felt something from her before any of the physical stuff even happened, that has really stuck with me.

So I guess I’m just curious what other people make of this whole experience? Especially anyone who is sensitive to energy or has had something similar happen around an object before. I’m open to both spiritual and mundane explanations because I genuinely don’t know what to think about it.

(Side note: idk if this is relevant at all, but I do have Cherokee ancestry through my great-grandma. I wasn’t raised in the culture though and I don’t practice any Native traditions, so I’m definitely not trying to claim that means I had some special connection to the doll or anything. I just thought it was maybe worth mentioning?)

UPDATE: Not even an hour after I made this post my nose started bleeding AGAIN and it was nearly impossible to stop 😭 I’m officially geeked out. Maybe I’m actually just having some spontaneous health crisis man idk at this point lol.

I was sitting in my bed and accidentally popped open my spell jar as it was around my neck. I had no negative intentions with opening it, it was just an accident do I need to make a new spell jar or can I reseal the same one I had?

Can someone use a city bus to disperse spellwork remnants? Thought being, the bus carries the work towards the target on a daily route, werekly. Thank you.

I have a strange money bowl:

- acorn

- kyanite green and blue

- amazonite

- some probably fake moldavite

- a blue fluorite nine tail fox pendant I got gifted by a friend

- crushed butterfly/moth wings I found from dead creatures

- a dried frog leg I collected from an already dead frog I just found one day

- crushed for leaf clovers I collected in an ever growing jar, over 100 crushed into dust

- some gold in a jar from a random mineral collection newspaper

- my pendulum tossed in there because it seemed to want in

- a giant bag of coins I just gathered from paying with cash at the grocery stores

- some random paper money I keep in some sort of piggy bank

I am in some whacky financial period, that's pretty inconvenient and annoying. Whatever. So I asked my guides what I should do about this whole ordeal. So they basically said 'whatever you decide'. Which is unhelpful when you want a straight answer.

Then I received my payment for the month and it was bigger than expected. Plus the extra half shift I was randomly given this year. Which puts my mind more at ease. And that's a great thing.

Whatever, I might sound a bit privileged, maybe I am, but the universe does conspire in your favour if you are aligned on the true path of your journey.

Hello! I saw someone say that in terms of witchcraft, seek out things you're already drawn to. I've had prophetic dreams since I was a kid and I've always loved interpreting dreams. Are there any practices that relate to dreams and the realm of sleep?

Although I have African American ancestry (My grandmother all the way down to the early 1950s cuz they moved from Jamaica to the American south) most of my living relatives are Jamaican as well as my parents who were both Jamaican born. I know about tales of duppies and Mami wata but I was wondering if there were more I could research. I have/had a Hematite Beaded Bracelet.

It Broke (about a month ago) as I was picking up a box and the Bracelet got rolled up my arm. (Lasted me 2 full years! Impressive I'd say)

I collected all the beads, put them in a baggie, threaded some of them onto a ring, and put the ring on a necklace that I own that depicts my Astrological Birth Sign (Cancer).

The beads hold sentimental value as well, I'll share too. Mi e

My question that I would like thoughts on, Should I have (and should I NOW, I guess) done a cleansing ritual or spell to repurify the beads' energy? (I checked this Sub's wiki, and didn't find much specifically to this.)

Hello! This is my third night experiencing this... I dont know whats up, but ever since i came home from spending time at my grandparents house on Monday (about 3 days aga) I've experienced bad anxiety and nerves at night, like some horrible dread in my chest, a very hard time sleeping (and staying asleep), and nightmares of me or my family getting hurt or even killed. I dont know what it could be because i havent done spell work lately, and ive cleansed my room with sage and cleansing spray and such- and i still feel this feeling.

Just tonight I've been turning my head and looking to see if anything is watching me, because i feel as if something is, and i cant help but feel unsafe. I hope its just anxiety and its all in my head...

For some extra info I am young (teenage years) and ive been practicing for about 3 years and havent felt ANYTHING like this until now. Please give any info or advice or anything you can to help me out, ask more questions if you need to- just please give me anything! Thank you for help, its much appreciated <3

I'm going to keep things relatively short and vague, since the main question is me wondering how i can determine if witchcraft is the correct path for me and how others came to that conclusion for themselves as well.

But basically, i am concerned i may be drawn to witchcraft as a coping mechanism and a means to take back control in my life (as i am in a period of my life where i do not feel very in control) and i just worry about if this is something i should even do given my self awareness of my mental state and the reasoning im drawn to this.

Ive been very casually practicing for maybe 6 months, but every time i get stressed i start to heavily practice.

How do i ensure this is an okay path for me? I know people who have turned to spirituality and witchcraft in times of distress and have fallen down into spiritual psychosis and while i dont think that will happen to me, i am concerned about leaning on it too much and maybe finding myself spiraling.

i am Not Looking for mental health advice or medical advice i just want to know maybe tips, tricks and stuff to ensure safe practice, and to figure out if this is even something i should continue doing. How do you ensure the integrity of your mental health while practicing ? Or maybe, this is the exact coping mechanism i need? Maybe it will build up confidence?

Was at a fun witchy workshop made candle, there was a whole array of materials, including some dried snake skin from someone’s pet snake. When I pulled some out of the jar, I just freaked out and didn’t wanna keep touching it and didn’t inspect it properly just dumped it in the candle but there WERE brown bits so … if my spell cancel contains snake shit… and I fucked??

Do I need to throw the whole thing away? I really really don’t want to. It has a bunch of other stuff in it & I put a lot of thought & care into it. And I did want the snake skin in it! Just freaked out and got a natural ick touching animal material. If I were to go back, I would have taken a breath, taken my time, and made sure to inspect better and remove any potentially contaminated bits. But yeah I didn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have a beautiful candle that MAY have snake shit in it. Would it still be safe & effective to use?

i did a prayer and lit a candle with herbs on friday, and saw very slight results almost immediately after. but very very small results. I needed a kick or a boost. so i repeated it last night, wednesday. but something didnt feel right this time, maybe because i was expecting another result right after, or i did it too quickly? i dont know. now im scared i ruined both rituals.

So one time i really needed my floor fixed. my friend was doing a love spell in my guest room & it burned my floor in the house that my parents were trying to sell. at the time i did not have any money to fix something so major & neither did my friend. i really only had probably $20 to my name, it was the beginning of Covid & i had no job.

my parents had moved across the country & had no idea i was interested in with craft so i had to figure out how to fix it. i read somewhere once that brown candles help solve problems. so i took a shot

i lit the brown candle with the intention to fix my floor. i eventually reached out to my grandpa to help me fix it, he said no. i was devastated & thought the candle didn’t work. but the next day, my grandpa reached back out & said he was just going to look at it but probably not fix it

he came to look at it, we go to home depot, i find a package of the wood panels that match the exact color of the floor at my house. but the whole entire package costed $90+… i only had $20!!

so i was back to feeling like the candle failed me. but i told the cashier i only had one tiny section to fix, i showed her the picture & she decided to take one panel out & sell it to me for $1.97

my grandpa fixed the floor & when the house sold, my parents didn’t find out!!!

so yes, everyone. use brown candles to help solve problems that you aren’t sure how to fix on your own
