I'm of a mixed mind myself. Me, I kind of wish I had people to tell me to stop repressing when I started to repress. I feel like if I had that, maybe I wouldn't have gone back in the closet for so long; but nobody cared enough to. My situation was a bit different though.
I'm happy if it's a sign that Shen is finally exploring. But I really hate that comic. It feels insulting to make a character that feels so blatantly trans, and call them a femboy, especially when there's nothing more to the character than that. With it being so public and popular, I worry about repressing trans women seeing it and taking away the message of "oh, I CAN just be a feminine man!"
Idk maybe shen should just work out all of his gender stuff in private, instead of making everything about it so damn public.
