I’ve noticed LST getting frequently mentioned on here as a destination from MAM, but I’ve checked today and it seems like the thread is gone. Given the frequency of LST to MAM being shared on here, I felt like it was important to make a post rather than just silently updating the recruitment wiki. Would recommend anybody that was aiming for LST on there to try joining seedpool from there instead. They are a decent alternative.

The main public indexer I use has started failing me in my *arr stack, so I'm finally needing to look into private trackers. The only content I am interested in for my personal use is 1080p (blueray/web) movies and TV. Ideally, I'm looking at HUNO but the path seems long and fraught with danger and woe

I have been reading quite a lot and these are the current methods of entry I have found:

• Have friends in the space
• Join MaM, download and seed a bunch of random stuff and wait 6 months
  • I have looked at RED but it seems much too difficult, especially as I don't need music at all
• Wait around for a potential free TL signup
• Pay for a TL signup
  • (and I've seen people say that TL can't even really get you invited anywhere)
• Join random trackers on OpenSignups

The issues I have with these methods:

• I don't have friends in the space
• I don't need books of any kind, and it feels weird to just use it as a tool to access a forum
• I'd rather not wait
• I'd rather not pay
  • Plus I can't really figure out the path from TL to other private trackers
• No clear path from random small trackers to the big ones

Now I understand that the system is engineered the way it is to preserve the quality and purpose of each tracker. However, I'm hoping I'm missing an entry method that would work better for me. Hardware-wise, I have about 10 TB of storage dedicated to this as of now and 24/7 permanent seeding for every torrent I download, so I don't think maintaining ratios or buffer would be too much of an issue.

I have also spent a bit looking through this spreadsheet, which assuming it is correct, gives the potential path of MaM -> LST -> ATH -> HUNO. Seems it would take like 2 years but at least it feels somewhat guaranteed.

I also read that it's frowned upon to just use trackers as stepping stones and then dropping them, but if the whole system is basically a ladder to climb to get to the best sources, then what else are you supposed to do?

Any tips are appreciated, barring anything else I will likely do both the TL and MaM route, but it just feels so convoluted. Please no flaming I've been doing so much research, just looking for some feedback from people who know better.

EDIT: Thank you for the comments, I'll just go with MaM lol

TLDR: An invite costs 1,000,000 bonus points now; Download slots limited to 10 / 20 per user class.

Hatches closed, engines on! 🚀

The application window is officially closed, and we're happy to welcome around 60 new pilots on board. Welcome to the crew! Buckle up, read the ship's rules and get familiar with the instruments. We're glad to have you with us.

Recalibration: Invites We used this opportunity to give the invite cost, the number of invites granted for donations and the ways to obtain invites in general a thorough systems check. Everything has been reviewed and adjusted to the current economy. The reason is simple: a seat on board should be something special, not a ticket you hand out carelessly. Whoever invites someone vouches for them, so choose your fellow travelers wisely.

New Module: Download Slots We've also introduced Download Slots for certain user classes. Their main purpose is to protect you from yourselves, or more precisely, from a misconfigured loading bay. Starting too many torrents at once quickly leads to ratio trouble and takes up valuable upload slots in the swarm.

Don't worry: we deliberately did not set the slots to a restrictive number. They're meant as a guardrail, not a handbrake.

10 slots or 20 slots, depending on your user class

In normal operation, you should barely notice them.

Safe travels, crew. And to all newcomers: welcome to orbit!

*krrzzt* ... Control station to all new arrivals ... *krrzzt* ... Don't load everything at once, but keep sharing your cargo! ... *krrzzt* ... Control station out. *krrzzt*

End of log entry.

One of my favorite things about what.cd was the similar artists section where if you searched for a band and went to a torrent, it had that little cloud of artists and the closer to the center, the closer to the artist/band you were on. I have no idea what you would call it... maybe similar to Pandora's music genome project.

So my question is this... are there any sites out there that will let you search for a band it offer a similar visual experience of closely related bands?

I discovered so much new music that way on what.cd and I absolutely miss that. All these years later, nothing has ever replaced it or oink.

Hi,

I've recently started my journey with private trackers ( ~ 5/6 months ) . I started with CinemaZ using their promo and as of now i am currently on many good entry-level private trackers ( Thanks to OpenSignups ) .

I mostly lookout for Obscure/Arthouse stuff, Emule/CinemaZ/RuTracker/VK/Usenet mostly fullfill my needs. I also am friends with some nice Latino folks who deal with obscure Spanish media so this helps alot. I also rent such movies if I can't find them anywhere else, but they are available on their country's local streaming service.

I recently posted on a subbreddit asking for KG invite ( My bad i didn't realise how stupid i was as it's against their rules ). Now i've come to realise that KG is out of bounds for me this life so i am looking at other options.

I found these trackers - SecretCinema, Cinematik, ANT, Cinemageddon, TV-Vault, Cathode-Ray Tube

My questions were -

1. I don't see any paths to Cinematik, Cinemageddon, TV-Vault and Cathode-Ray Tube. Are these trackers impossible to join like KG?

2. Has SecretCinema stopped recruiting on MAM? Closest pathway i could find was 1540 days.

Any other suggestions are very much welcome.

Thank you

New to trackers and worked hard to pass the exam but I only have 3 days left and likely wont pass (not sure what I’m doing wrong). Are there better trackers out there or should I pay the fee?

Looking for dubbed cartoons mainly Disney etc

We're new, we're horny, and our torrents need company.

To celebrate, enjoy one full week of freeleech and double upload credit! Downloads won't count towards your ratio, and every byte you upload counts twice.

Share your favourite releases, discover something new, and give those lonely torrents a little attention.

Keep your torrents up longer than your excuses. Seeding with one hand is still seeding.

Normal seeding and Hit & Run rules still apply.

Welcome to DirtyBytes. Your browser history's newest bad decision. ❤️

Title. To the best of my knowledge signups have been closed, and I'm wondering what people's experiences are trying to register.

Do I just give up? Thanks.

Is there any way to contact Hawke Uno support staff? For some reason my 2FA is not working and i can't log into my account. :(

• Edit - Thanks guys, I got my account back 🙂

thegeeks.click seems to have been down for a few weeks now. Anyone got any more information please? Can anyone recommend alternatives with the same e-learning resources? thegeeks.click is very hard work to maintain ratio, maybe it's time to find an alternative anyway.

Annoyed by the fact that some torrent files from 2015 I downloaded are getting stuck at around 99%. Basically 2, 6, 20 MBs left to download. I am no expert, but why does the torrent download 99% of the file only to get stuck over few MBs. Any suggestions what I can do or should Iassume the torrent is dead? Its been several days

I find a lot of their old, niche movie encodes scattered all across the public trackers, but no clue which pt they upload first. Their releases are pretty decent despite the small file sizes imo and they also upload the disc bonus extras and featurettes with it which, personally, I really really appreciate cause I'm a huge sucker for that kind of stuff and very few release groups do that, the only other alternative I know that's QxR but they don't upload as much old stuff compared to SARTRE.

I just gained access to ExoticaZ, and reading through the rules it says they have an inactivity clause.

I intend to try to self invite to AvistaZ, and I don't really care about porn on ExoticaZ. If after I get a self-invite and jump ship to AvistaZ, am I good to just let ExoticaZ get pruned and it won't affect AvistaZ?

Getting some kind of error with my username, says it cant be found.

im using cross-seed to manage cross seeds I have a torrent on one tracker, then cross-seed cross seeds it to other trackers but then later i delete the original torrent, but the cross seeded torrents still stay there as hardlinks. is there some other application or something I can run to make it so that the old cross seeds get tagged as something like cleanup, and that everything with that tag then has a share limit that would after 2 weeks delete the torrent and remove contents, to avoid hit and runs. im using cross-seed and qbittorrent in docker containers.

Are there any trackers that are known for East African/Swahili content?

Hey all,

I’m looking to join a couple of private trackers and could use some advice.

I’ve been having trouble finding older content to fill gaps in my library, like older movies, TV, and back-catalog stuff that public trackers either don’t have or have in poor quality. Which trackers do you recommend for deep catalogs and long-term seeding?

I’m also a big pro wrestling fan and want to build out that part of my library. Is XWT any good for that? I’m interested in how complete the archive is (older territory/WCW/ECW/WWF material, indies, current PPVs), how active the community is, and how hard it is to keep ratio.

I’m happy to hear general tracker recommendations too, and what you’d suggest for someone new to private trackers. I’m not asking for invites.

Thanks!

Hey! I've joined private trackers a few months back.

Seedpool, TL, digitalcore, seedcore, peergarden, czteam, and hdtorrents.

Movies, TV shows and some music.

Very solid and good experience. Coupled with autobrr, cross-seed and few others gave me the chance to gain good ratio on all of them.

Hardest to keep ratio up is for me HD-torrents, can't get many leeches there, even though they have the best quality and the most amount of releases I search for.

I have a home server with 2.5g fiber running 24/7.

In your experience, getting into ipt and torrent day, would just be more of the same, and pretty much useless duplicates?

What can I shoot for as an easy upgrade?

Thanks!

Hello. I want to download lots of movies from Russian trackers like rutracker but I have a limited time. What should I pay attention when I choose things to download?

I used to use rutracker as my main torrent tracker back in 2020 but I remember that some of them were downloaded like in 20 mins while others needed hours to be downloaded. I remember that seeds were important and I need a lot of them but I also remember that when there were 500+ seeds, movies downloaded very slowly. So what I should consider?

Thanks in advance!
