It's a (copout) line of thinking that drama and conflict are story, and the only real conflict in a relationship is in achieving one. Lazy writers who don't want to write a couple as a couple, either tackling a problem together or coming into conflict with each other without one simply being a bad guy

Very true, also it weirdly makes me worry about seeing pairing happen because they just lose that dimension to themselves because romance apparently was only to secure the relationship and not to affirm what is there
