Hated Tropes (Hated)You know this cute couple we spend the last movie developing?Yeah, they broke up off-screen

John and Lori-Ted 2

Sam and Mikaela-Transformers 3

Wade and Vanessa-Deadpool and Wolverine(yeah,i know the ending implies they get back, but it just begs the question what was even the point, even Morena Baccarin Vanessa actress complained about how her character was sidelined)

Laurel from Men In Black is the first that comes to mind. Her only mention in the second film is an offhand comment that Will Smith's character fired her from the MIB and wiped her memory

This is made even funnier with the animated series in mind, where she remains a major character and love interest

Why did they make her blonde in the show?

Likeness rights issues. It's less expensive to produce the cartoon tie-ins when the characters don't look like Bill Murray or Will Smith

Don't remember her being a love interest, though yes, she was a good agent

There was some implied tension between her and J, but the series was canceled before anything could happen.

The behinds the scenes story about this is that she was difficult to work with which later came out that she refused to fuck Harvey.

She was sleeping with an ex-FBI agent to try and get information to get her private eye boyfriend off the hook.

I know most people automatically assume "difficult to work with" is code for "refused to sleep with Harvey Weinstein" - and in too many instances they're not wrong - but in this case Fiorentino actually was bonkers.

You say this like this doesn't make her sounds cool as hell

Other directors have reported having issues working with her, and that includes people who have spoken against Weinstein.

Kevin Smith, most notably, of course.

I think she asked to be wiped, wasn't fired

It also kinda implies that she's dead. Will's character says she wanted to go back to the morgue, and iirc he finishes that by saying he just helped her get there.

She worked the Morgue. It was practically her identity. Nothing in there indicated that she's dead

That's a reach, it was in the same scene as him being chewed out for firing all his other partners
