Hated Tropes (Hated trope) Remember all these stories and characters we followed for so long? Welp now it’s all reset.

1: using another flashpoint to create the tomorrowverse (Justice League Dark: Apokolips war) after 80-90% of the cast is killed off and billions lives are fated to die Flash and Constantine hatch up a plan to kill baby Darkseid to prevent the entire story from happening which just leads to an entirely different universe being formed and even erasing some characters from existence.

2: Jim travelling to the beginning (Tales of Arcadia series) after multiple characters die including Toby Jim uses a magic gem to travel back to the very first episode but instead lets Toby find the amulet… this changes things how?

Ever notice that Nightwing doesn't have a cape?

You can’t cover up all that cake with a cape!

Batman's cape is practical. Flame retardant, can stop small caliber bullets, can turn into a glider, can be used as a weapon, hides his body to make it harder to hit him, but most importantly the cape hides what Batman is doing with his hands.

Robin's cape is for show and short for that reason. Kinda useless and why none of the former Robin's use a cape.

Damn I liked dcau so much, it was pretty nice, even though it not every single thing was a masterpiece or just great, but it was pretty nice overall

What i dont understand is why they didn't just let Bruce Timm handle the freaking live action movie continuity. He has been doing this consistent DC continuity content for fucking decades. Warner Bros is so fucking arrogant they wont let DC actually make DC movies, just their animation stuff.

Whenever Bruce Timm is left on his own you end up with weird shit like Babs having sex with Bruce. Yiu want people like McDuffy or Dini to rein him in or do it themselves.

Harley farting in the batmobile after having sex with Robin.

u/caitlindrawings 11d ago

Ya that is very true, it should be the whole team

The man has definitely jerked off to his own scribbling. Has produced brilliant work which has defined DC… but is also a dirty old man.

Until they hired James Gunn, DC insisted on having people who hate DC characters make all its DC movies.

2

u/caitlindrawings 11d ago

Lol right? Like why would you work on a movie if you hate the source material? I think the writers of the Witcher show could answer that one.

4

u/TimSylvester_ 11d ago

Hiring people who hate the source material to adapt the source material is a decision that only an empty suit could make.

Unfortunately, empty suits run most of the world.

1

u/caitlindrawings 11d ago

Ya its so weird to me, like i get it originally if someone tried to be like "let's reimagine" or whatever, but we have seen so many examples of not following thw source material and everyone, not just the fans, end up hating it.. yet they keep making the dumbfuck decisions.

1

u/TimSylvester_ 11d ago

The first thing you do when turning into an empty suit is learn how insulate yourself from the consequences of your own poor decisions.

1

u/caitlindrawings 11d ago

Ah that's very true

I keep thinking this is a bad argument for Batman who uses the cape to glide down except that I recently learned that was a pretty recent addition.

u/International-Ad2501 11d ago

Lmao, thank you for this.

u/UncannyValleyEnjoyer 11d ago

Why this is so fucking funny

6

u/Chaz-Natlo 11d ago

For a second there my system glitched out and Dick was punching Damien for a solid ten seconds.

6

u/MrExistentialBread 11d ago

Chefs kiss to the animators knowing precisely how many unnecessary additional punches to throw to make it funny.

2

u/mostlybored1234 11d ago

Im just curioso how someone made a 5 hour long gif

2

u/Deathsroke 11d ago

Average older and younger brother playing.

Wasn't this done to Damian by Jason in the comics?
