There is plenty of the stuff they are pushing in schools to get legitimately mad about. Something like this is just dumb. Why go out of your way to be a rude person?
My dude or dudette - I'm in Texas. The 10 Commandments are in every single classroom on a huge poster that can't be out of sight from anywhere in the room, by law. They are reading Bible Stories in English classes now - being forced to study them. They are white-washing the curriculum. This is a problem.
Getting rid of the move on when ready program, pushing no kid left behind, taking away disciplinary options from schools. Among many others. Quick Google search or talking to a student would get you plenty
The "move on when ready" program is still very much a thing. In most states its now called Dual Enrollment and is pushed more heavily than ever.
"No kid left behind" was replaced all the way back in 2015 (over a decade ago!) when Obama was in office. Yet still people love to act like its destroying our schools to this very day.
I dont know what discipline actions you are talking about specifically, but sure.
A quick Google search wouldve shown that you don't know what you're talking about.
Cont… forcing teachers to give a minimum 50% grade on missing assignments and tests, only making kids go to 2 classes somedays and 3 classes other days, locking 3/4 of the restrooms because kids are vaping/smoking/screwing/tagging instead of assigning monitors. The list goes on
Well good thing the normal functioning people are capable of drawing conclusions and deducing the actual context of the message. Because only a fucking idiot is going to assume the principal wants pedophiles and sex offenders in their school.

Adding an asterisk and "conditions apply" underneath it kinda makes the message lose meaning. Registered sex offenders are already not allowed to be in a certain radius of a school. Obviously they aren't welcome and being a 'well ackshually' type isn't the gotcha you think it is.
They could easily say all kids welcomed. Im just pointing out this is a stupid shirt with a perfomative message that is flawed logically and linguistically.
If a sex offender is in jail then they cant be in school. If a sex offendr is out of jail then they can be in public and thus can be in a school that welcomes all. Same with a child who murdered. If anything a child who murdered is still a child and belongs in school more than others who the shirt might welcome. More than the adult sex offender definitely.
Regardless if you disagree with either presence in a school then you should also disagree with the shirt.
..you're supposed to use your brain and understand everyone is welcome who isn't a threat, like a convicted sex offender. Of course they aren't welcome. Why do you need it spelled out in glowing letters?
If we all pretend we’re very stupid we can find all sorts of problems in life. Like if the sign says “Crosswalk” can kids not run through it even if a car is bearing down on them and not stopping? How is anyone to know? It literally says “walk”.
I agree with you that signage should be much clearer because the numbers of neuro divergent kids are growing and one problem is many of them takes words and phrasing very literally. It is hard for them to understand nuances and sarcasm for example. We want to be inclusive to them as well because taking things literally doesnt mean you are stupid.
That said .. specific to your example .. kids walk randomly because they arent educated in rules of the roads yet. Thats why the onus is on the driver bearing down on the kid to stop. We dont expect ghe kid to have to run away from speeding cars.
