Memes part 3

I wouldn't have all 6 if it wasn't required

After defeating the Chief, I shoved him aside to confront his dad the head honcho, and he goes on a motivation rant. And apparently, souls were sold to an entity named Xandus for power over Hoenn. However, it seems Xandus isn't impressed with their current situation and uses his power to dispose of every weakling in the room except Luther because I was shielding him, and I apparently possess an incredible amount of power, which explains me able to do that. And then I look back at what happened with Rayquaza after I freed him from Wally. I think I received a blessing from him that granted protection.

In any case, he decides to deal with me in Pokemon Battle instead, and Luther heals my team before that. He possessed an Umbreon, Lugia, Entei, an Espeon, Celebi, and Jirachi! I'm so glad I trained at the Grinding Cave. And so I defeat Legend Xandus by the skin of my teeth! Go! Team! Sky!

As a result, Xandus departs, never to be seen again. And Luther calls for a celebration. Which we do. And during the chaos of the party, with my mission complete, I take my leave of this region and return to our home HQ to report these findings.

With my team fully set up (check it out here), I head inside to finish Team Aqua and Magma (an d Devon, I guess) once and for all. And it is quite a mess of bodies. It's not just Aqua, Magma, Devon, and us in here. There are also a few Devon-paid thugs, and one opportunistic looter. It also appears that Devon has betrayed Magma and has chosen to make the deal with Aqua instead. And the rest of the staff were given the day off, though one stayed to watch the action. I don't even get the chance to defeat Jim, since Archie seems to have beaten me to it. Kendo and Alexa are busy holding off more of the enemy, and Luther has gone on ahead, so I follow, defeating every enemy that gets in my way.

Once I'm at the 3rd floor, I partner up with Luther and crash the deal, starting with Archie and a Devon Executive. Also, Chief Steven turns out to be very filthy and is loyal to his father, President Stone of Devon Corp. He only took the position in order to control the police, and with Luther and me as witnesses he plans to terminate us. Joke's on him, I've become too strong for him. Go Team Sky!

But it's not over just yet.

This is Holly from my Team Sky playthough of Pokemon CAWPS, and this is her squad. This video is taken just before challenging the final gauntlet. Yes, it's in Devon Corp. It's explained in the story.

Pokemon CAWPS is by Crizzle, who also made Pokemon Outlaw. I will not cover Pokemon Outlaw.

With the Wailmer usually blocking the way gone, I head east to Mossdeep when I suddenly get a miraculous encounter a Latias! With haste and a crapton of save states miraculous luck, I catch it with an Ultra Ball and add her to my team, naming her Bianca. I also take a Magikarp since I know that Dive will be needed to access Sootopolis. I also encounter the Grinding Cave, and am told that I will one day need it. I also find a Bird Keeper who wished he was a bird Pokemon. I don't think it's weird.

Ignoring the twins in their Gym, I head to the Space Center, and find that Team Magma has taken over! Although it appears they were ordered to be nice to the employees, because their new leader Jim (given I killed Maxie and all) made a deal with a Devon Executive in charge of the Space Center. And Steven stops me from fighting him and takes me away since they're currently politically untouchable. For now, I'm supposed to deal with Wally and Team Aqua, and Chief Steven gifts me Dive, which Bianca can learn.

I decide to grind all over the rest of Hoenn's routes, discovering the Abandoned Ship where the harmless Team Aqua Reserve stand by. I also catch a Surskit, and evolve Blu to Salamence. A short visit to Sootopolis reveals that the local Gym was closed after a scandal. And the Sky Pillar appears to have vanished entirely, which bodes ill. And there's a future case of criminal activity in Pacifidlog that I cannot respond to right now because there's no proof for it.

But thanks to Steven's tip, I soon find the Seafloor Cavern where I'm sure Team Aqua could be.

Before I head to Rustboro and Devon, I go to Pacifidlog to resolve that "future case of criminal activity" I recalled back then, and it appears it's happened. And the cop won't tell me the important thing he also has until I'm done with it. I have a kidnapping to solve, and with so few houses around to check, I eventually find the guy and arrest him, and return the kid to her family.

With that done, I get the report from the officer: Devon Corp and Team Magma are making a big shady deal, and Team Aqua has decided to storm the place, turning Devon Headquarters into a battlefield. The police has assembled a squad to shut them all down, and I'm part of it. That said, I'm recommended to train up at Grinding Cave before going in, and I feel like I will sorely need it.

And a ton of grinding I did do, as well as catching some powerful Pokemon: a Smeargle that Sketched Steel Wing, a Dratini, a Dragonair, a Gligar, and even a Dragonite, who I decided to add to my final team! I also removed Dive from Bianca since I don't need that move anymore.

(A/N: There's a reference with the line that pertains to Leader Mikey's first Dratini. I also decided to try the Regi puzzle for extra EXP and to test my team against them, but the ways to Regice and Regirock are blocked (by deliberately added rocks and never getting the Go-Go Goggles to cross the desert), and I never get Flash for Registeel's chamber.)

Inside the Cavern, I find their stolen sub, and breach the surface to deal with all the Grunts, who claim they're primarily here to try to stop Wally from taking Kyogre. But turns out they (or at least Archie) hoped to sell him on the black market, and Archie peaces out and leaves new Admin Tobi to stall me. After routing him, he exits too and Kendo and Alexa arrive to get me out to report the situation aboveground: namely, Groudon and Kyogre are rampaging in Sootopolis under Wally's control, and I'm the only one who can stop them. Not to mention Teams Aqua and Magma getting involved with Devon Corp, which Alexa and Kendo will be investigating. Steven also stops by to reiterate the seriousness of the catastrophe before leaving again.

I fly to Sootopolis and find the bodies already piling up. According to one cop on site, Wally has entered the Cave of Origin, so I chase him down, confront him, and defeat his entire team. But he wasn't done yet and teleports himself and me out to where the Gym used to be (closed for reasons unrelated to the current crisis), where it's revealed that not only has he caught Kyogre and Groudon, but even the revered Skydios himself! He is no longer just an egotistical obstacle, he's a genuine threat to Team Sky!

Even so, I put a stop to each and every one of them, and snashed their Pokeballs for good measure to remove them from Wally's control. Just before I pass out from all the cases I've had to deal with, I could swear Rayquaza stare at me for a few moments before departing once again.

When I come to, Luther delivers good news and bad news. Good news, Wally has been put away for good. Go Team Sky!

Bad news, well, he doesn't actually tell me, but I know exactly what it is; Teams Aqua and Magma are still at large, and my time here won't be over until they're deal with.

Felt like making a wrap for my 1984 Mugen Civic CRX that included my second favourite Pokemon, shiny Rayquaza (only barely falling short of Mew as my favourite Pokemon), and Team Sky. I watch Mikey’s Team Sky playthroughs all the time, my favourite is his Omega Ruby (definitely not biased because of the end lol).

Noticed it’s hard to see in the video but my favourite part of the wrap is the yellow/gold sections are all “holographic” because of the Zinc finish as a base layer with decal masks to allow the bottom layer to be seen. It’s hard to notice but it goes from a blunt yellow to greenish yellow to in some parts purple. I thought it looked like Rayquaza was using his powers and his rings were lighting up.

Figuring that the lore for meeting a couple of the team members could be rescuing the charizard and mightyena from being cornered by a pack of arcanine for the charizard as a charmander and a pack of Zangoose for the mightyena as a poochyena and the others having challenged them while fully evolved for those that are part of evolutionary lines (ie the salamence and Staraptor)

En route to Lilycove, I catch a Shuppet, but find my way blocked by cops because there's a huge situation at Mt. Pyre with Wally, Team Aqua, and Team Magma, so I have to go there to lend aid. But first I grind south of there to the Berry Master's house before flying back to Fortree again. Once I'm confident my team is strong enough, I head in. And I fight not only grunts, but other opportunistic battle maniacs as well. During this, I catch a Gastly and Haunter, and Co-Ops evolves to Dodrio.

As it turns out, they were all racing to seize the Red and Blue Orbs, and unfortunately, Wally won that race (and killed the elders watching over it, of course), and I'm left wiht Maxie. I defeat him again, and then Steven shows up to tell me to finish him off. And I have Cutoff slice Maxie up with glee. Go Team Sky!

Oh, and I'm now entrusted to hunt down Wally. And given what he's done, I'm definitely this region's best shot. And with the two Orbs he has, he will most definitely be after Groudon and Kyogre. And I dread that he desires to complete the set with Skydios! So he absolutely must be stopped!

On my way to Fortree, I get interrupted by Alexa wanting a rematch sinc ehs ecouldn't believe my power. I make sure my victory wasn't a fluke, and in the process, Blu became a Shelgon. She apologizes by gifting me HM02! Luther also shows up to tell me that he had bet on me winning, and that there might be worse coming.

And indeed, there was, such as murderous Kecleon everywhere (and one blocking off the way to Winona's Gym), an abusive babysitter and his Zigzagoon, an elder with a stash of illegal items, and a furniture shop that's a front for smuggling contrabrand that's already bribed one cop (who gifts me a Fire Stone). I also encounter a guy who talks about how Steven became Police Chief; he took over after the previous chief died to Team Magma, despite everyone thinking he would decline. Suspicious...

I also get TM10 Hidden Power, taught it to Co-Ops, and discover that his one is Fighting-type. Sweet!

I also encounter Steven at the bridge as he deals with a few Aqua Grunts and lets me deal with one. After that, he compliments my strength and pegs me as fourth strongest behind himself, Kendo, and Luther before peacing out.

With the way to Lilycove clear, and the fact that there's no Safari Zone to visit, I head there straight away and do the following:

- Arrest a pair of Cooltrainers with a stash of contraband

- Find that the Pokemon Fan Club also appreciates cops (especially me)

- Have the Move Deleter remove Cut from Cutoff's learned moves

- Catch May planning to rob the Devon Corp. Department Store

- Buy Earthquake in that Department Store

- Pay a visit to Carl Dawson's Mega-Millionz Mansion to gain information

- Learn from Carl that Wally intends to hit up Mossdeep and Sootopolis

- Also learn from Carl that Team Magma found a huge stash

- Also also learn from Carl of the Aqua Hideout's whereabouts

- Visit the Lilycove Slums to deal with all the Young Thugs there

- Find that Pokemon Contests are banned now

- Learn from a Sailor that Devon has a shady history

- Raid the Aqua hideout that's already in the process of being raided by the police

- And niss out on the Master Ball that's already been secured and returned to Devon (though I still find a Nugget for selling)

I also defeat and arrest Aqua Admin Matt, but not before he stalls me long enough for the rest of Team Aqua to escape in their stolen submarine. Still, Go Team Sky!

With Surf on Hurricane, I go east of Mauville and cross the river. And I'm greeted by Chief Steven himself before get goes on his way. After fighting through the Mimic Circle and all the other trainers (didn't get to encounter any Tropius, unfortunately), I'm blocked off from proceeding further because there's trouble in the Weather Institute. It appears that Brendan has recruited a lot of goons to rob the place, and has already killed a few cops in the process.

Eventually I reach Brendan and stomp his team. But then his father Norman rushes in to help him. Needless to say, Brendan's mother's accusations appear to be right on the money, and I arrest the pair of them. Go Team Sky!

No gift Castform, though, but that's probably for the best.
