I’ve seen a lot of comments confidently affirming that Dragona is a woman; although im fully accepting of this, as far as i know there is only evidence that Dragona still goes by male pronouns. (instances of Jodio and others referring to them by male pronouns.) Have I missed something or is this just typical ‘confidentiality wrong’ internet jargon?

Araki has made in the most recent part of jjba has two queer characters that have faced trauma and abuse in their past for being Queer .the first being dragona in the second being osage both go through issues that directly tied to their queer identities.

and they’re both about their past for osage he just straight up, confirms that he is bisexual and the reason why his relationship with his mother is so bad is because he was forced to go through conversion therapy for being attracted to another man.
And Dragona is stated to have gone through HRT facial feminization surgery, and she is also in another flashback shown to be assaulted by other students on a bus in chapter 13 and they straight up try to take her clothes off to see what parts she has and straight up ask what genitals she has.

these issues and things some queer people go through, especially conversion therapy and the fact that Araki is it afraid to show this stuff in his work is amazing to me, and it proves that there are canonically queer characters in this franchise that’s inspired by queer culture and the author 100% supports us and it’s refreshing to see in media, especially in the current state of the world

But I think John rods real name is going to be blinding lights

Buddy thinks the latest chapter is “tone-deaf” and that the flashback wasn’t necessary. He legit said stuff like this didn’t exist before when it 100% has since Part 1.

Me personally...i hope it's the last one, before you jump at me hear me out:

I know that Araki said that he would continue to write JoJo forever, the issue however is that he is not getting younger anytime soon, and if JoJoLands takes the same amount of time as JoJolion to end Araki will be 73 by the time JoJoLands ends, i wouldn't want a hypotetical Part 10 to suffer from what happened to Kentaro Miura and Berserk (Don't misinterpretate what i said, i am glad Araki is doing great and i hope he will stay like this for the longest time possible)

Besides, i think ending with Part 9 would be the ideal so we can have 3 sets of trilogy, Part 1-3: The Stone Mask trilogy, Part 4-6: The stand arrow trilogy, Part 7-9: The new universe or spin trilogy

What do you think instead?

What do you think will be the name of the Jojolands Jojo?

I think both jodio and dragona are giorno AU, dragona trans story parallels PERFECTLY giorno “blooming”, Giorno was always really androgynus, his design and his power to “give birth” are a prime example, araki also always talks about how Giorno bloomed like a flower, the pink of his palette comes from sakura flowers, and Araki also said that pink and blue (trans flag lol) are the colors he associate most with giorno and part 5 as a whole, Giorno sudden change is a great analogy for trans people, with dragona i feel like he tried to make it more obvious and wasnt limited by the shonen magazine

It’s been around three years since JoJoLand was released , and not just that long ago the story completed its first half of the story .

I’ve been in part eight for a good while taking it slow knowing this will be my last JoJo part that’s completed but I did read 13 chapters of the new part so far really good I love everything about the volcanorock and the crew so far

But so far, what do you think about this part?
