Is this the worst intersection / merge in all of South Bay or is it just me? It feels like nobody ever has a clue what lane they want to be in or how to get there.

I’m in my 30s and based in the South Bay. Growing up, I honestly didn’t have any guy friends so I feel like I missed out on a lot of the “bro bonding” and friendships that a lot of guys have.
I’d really like to change that and build some genuine friendships. Just having dudes to hang out with, joke around with, and do the kinds of things I never really got to experience growing up. I’ve always wanted to get into sports too — just never really had anyone to watch them with.
If you’re in the South Bay or anywhere around LA and looking to make a new bro, hit me up 🤙 Down to meet guys from the Westside, DTLA, LBC, and wherever. Not just limited to the South Bay.

Anyone else lost internet in Redondo beach today? It said they’re doing a network upgrade last night but it’s still out and now the website says there’s an outage. Anyone know any ETA on when it’ll be fixed?
Edit : as of 5pm I’m back online

Hi! I am looking for clinics that provide spaying services for my 5 year old cat. The one thing I’m mainly looking for is reasonable pricing.
Also will be nice if anyone can share how long they waiting for a booking/appointment . Doing some research I’ve noticed many are unavailable for booking and don’t have space, ideally I am looking to book something in advance for when I can be fully available to take care of my cat. Thanks!

Hello fellow beach cities parents! My kids swim team has a meet in two weeks at the GMAC which is now closed to technical difficulties for the new two to three weeks. The pool at ElCo is booked, but I thought maybe we can book the pool at Costa. I read last year that it was going to be closed. If it's not closed can anyone confirm how many 25 yard lanes there are?
thank you!

Hi,
I am 29 weeks pregnant and just switched insurance. Went from Medi Cal to UHC PPO.
I’m looking for an OBGYN and also a hospital that I can rely on for care and last minute emergencies.
I reside in the SouthBay and keep hearing about doctors such as Kimball, Sparks, Ragab, Patel.
But I do not know if I should be seeking out their personal services or if I should be enrolling in a medical group.
Please help me narrow this down.
My concerns are:
1) Being able to be seen right away when I have an emergency. (Currently dealing with a painful fissure and need to go see someone in the next few days).
2) Want someone who is does a great job with C-sections because I am a high risk pregnancy.
3) I guess this is less of a priority, but being able to get a same day or within week’s time appointment if I need one.

They are eating the ants! Was wondering why we never EVER have ant issues here in my house in Torrance. We do get a bunch of lizards during the season. I didn't realize they feast on ants.

I recently had langoustine (Norway lobster) at a restaurant and it was very delicious. We can't go back there any time soon, but are on the lookout for this type of shrimp locally. Same goes for carabineros (Spanish red shrimp). Has anyone had success buying these in our area?

Hello! I’m looking for an affordable house cleaner in the area. My previous cleaners moved away, and I’m hoping to find someone reliable for a small space.
I mainly need a deep cleaning of my kitchen and bathroom, along with light cleaning of my living room. I used to pay around $130 plus tip for those areas.
I had paused the service for a while while caring for my dog, who recently passed away, and I’m now looking to get back into a monthly cleaning routine. Ideally, I’d like to start with a deep clean and then have someone come once a month for light maintenance cleaning.
If you have any recommendations or offer cleaning services at a reasonable price, please let me know. Thank you!

Please provide some recommendations if you love your dentist near El Segundo. My teeth stain super easily, so a good hygienist is a must. I like my current dentist, but unfortunately, there’s no hygienist and I feel like the cleanings are rushed. Thank you!

We have a tree in our backyard seems to be getting too big. I'd like to get an arborist to inspect and probably needs pruning. Anyone have any arborists they've used?

My wife was hit on the corner of Sepulveda and Rosecrans tonight at around 5:05 by a silver vehicle that sped off. She was traveling west on Rosecrans and he ran the light on Sepulveda, heading north.
Because this was a Hit and Run, we need witnesses. Did anyone see anything? She is current being checked for back and neck pain in the hospital.
Please let me know if anyone saw anything.

Hi! I’m looking to switch my maternity care from St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach to Torrance Memorial.
I’ve also seen recommendations for Providence Little Company of Mary, but I’m not sure yet. I guess I should do a hospital tour first, but I’d love to hear about your experiences. Which OBs would you recommend?
I’m looking for an OB who supports a more natural birth plan and doesn’t push C-sections when they’re not medically necessary. I’d love to find someone with lower C-section rates, too, if that information is available. I’m doing my research on C-sections as well so I understand what happens and what to expect if one becomes medically necessary. Overall, I want a provider who listens to my preferences, supports trying for a vaginal birth when it’s safe, and respects my birth plan while prioritizing my baby’s safety.
I’d also really love an OB I can consistently see throughout the rest of my pregnancy. Right now, I see so many different doctors and NPs that I don’t even know who my actual OB is. I’d really like to build a relationship with my provider before giving birth instead of constantly seeing someone different.
With that being said, does anyone have OB recommendations at Torrance Memorial or LCOM? I’d also love doula recommendations, especially doulas who accept insurance and do breathwork, meditation, and hypnobirthing.
I’m a FTM and really want someone who will respect my birth plan, support my choice of birthing positions, and advocate for me if doctors or nurses try to push me into things I don’t want. I want to feel comfortable speaking up and know I have someone in my corner. Any recommendations?
Thank you so much!

I grew up eating Dino’s on Pico in LA when the price for the chicken plate was $4 including tax. I’ve also had the dtla one and montebello one but the OG pico just hits the spot.
Due to family and job situations, I’ve permanently moved to South Bay. Are there restaurants similar to Dino’s here, without me having to do a 3 hour round trip to la just to get some bomb chicken?

How much are these whole house systems? We are in Redondo in a 3bd, 2.5 bath townhouse, 2 floors.
Installed. All my neighbors seem to have them.
