Is tretinoin suited for every skin?
Last year I used tretinoin 0.025 cream weekly 2-3 times but that did not suit my skin. I experienced mini skin bumps throughout my face. What could be the reason? Also what's the alternative?

Tazarotene after retinal
I’ve been using retinal 0.1% for about 4 years now and my skin loves it, however I’m considering moving up the intensity. I was considering tret but after reading about Tazarotene I’m kind of thinking of just getting that at a low dose.
Would that be a good idea or am I moving up the retinoid hierarchy a bit too fast?

BEST skincare recommendations for sensitive and combo skin (Routine Help)
Hi everyone I’ve been trying a bunch of popular skin care (specifically korean ones) — beauty of joseon green plum, roundlab dokdo lotion, etc (but I am using it in the shower but I feel like that the only time I can uses it bc I feel like school makes my put off everything else) but I feel like they aren’t really doing anything or there is some problem with it reacting to my skin they start to sting (moisturized - round lab dokdo lotion but only when my skin get pretty dry and that’s when it’s winter/im in the pool - I play waterpolo) or dry my skin out (bc cleanser - beauty of joseon green plum) or my skin gets puffy (salicylic acid the ordinary). I’m trying to find a good skincare routine to clear up some blackheads (on my chin and nose) and prevent/clear up pimples when they show up.
As of rn the only thing i feel like works is the etude 2x intensive barrier cream but i want smth for regular wear when my skin isnt like dying and the murad rapid relied spot treatment
Im looking for a cleaner, toner, mask, moisturizer for everyday wear, sunscreen, smth to treat/prevent hairline acne, make dark circles go away cream (might be bc not much sleep and h20 lol 😭) and other recommendation (korean and non korean!!!)
Also looking for tips for my skin, also idk even if my skin is combo cuz sometimes I get super dry skin (under my chin and forehead) so I might have dry skin but I feel like bc get acne on my nose (feels slightly oily) chin and and hairline.

Body moisturizer.
What's your absolute favourite and nourishing drugstore body moisturizer? Especially for the legs.
I'm looking for something new and would love some recommendations. 💕

Sleep deprived and tired of my acne
I am sick and tired of my acne. I’ve hated how I looked for a very long time and never been comfortable with myself . Lately after about 6 months of using Paula’s choice (retinols, vit c serum, niacinamide, and spf moisterizer) I think I’m seeing some of the redness go away but I’m wondering if the coloring will ever really go away.
The first 5 pics are from this last month and the last three were from 5 months ago. The lighting makes the skin look so much better in certain photos so it probably appears like I have more improvement than I do.
Any tips for clearing this up? I’m desperate to have good skin, I had cystic acne 6 years ago and have been dealing with acne issues ever since.

Are people usually able to start straight on 15% RX Azealic, or should | start at 10% OTC?
Hi! Just as I mentioned in the title, I'm curious about people's experiences going on AZA. Basically, I used 15% AZA while my skin barrier was very damaged due to tretnoin, and had a bad burning sensation. Now, I know that was due to a weak barrier. Once the barrier repairs, I want to use my 15% AZA as my only active for a little while to help with the inflammation I am experiencing before I go back to tretnoin. People who have had success with RX strength AZA, how did it go for you, and did you have to work up to it? When I first started tret, I was using The Ordinary 10% AZA with no issues, but also no actual improvement or assistance with PIH or active acne. Any input is appreciated!

Seeking cc and cystic acne advice
I (28F) have been STRUGGLING with closed comodones that surface into angry heads quite often after a while. I also get really deep, sore inflamed acne. It’s all mostly on my chin these days, but I used to get them on my cheeks too.
Here’s the thing- I’ve been clean for over two years now and my acne has been the worst it’s ever been in my life since then. Have any recovering addicts experienced this acne like this? and if so- is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I never had CCs before getting clean. Id get one large pimple here and there during puberty but that’s about it.
Thankfully, I never have too many inflamed at a time- right now I have 2 big ones on my chin (one inflamed comodone and one cystic I think) but I also have quite a lot of ccs all around my chin and mouth.
I know it could be worse but it really affects my self esteem and the inflamed leave purple marks after healing so it adds up in my eyes.
I try to keep my skin routine consistent before implementing new things but I’ve tried so many
Birth control pills
Adapelene
BP
SA
Switching to less clogging moisturizer (using vanicream currently)
Hypochlorus acid spray
Washing face less
Washing face more
Even tried something for fungal acne just in case
I rarely wear makeup and when I do I take it off as soon as I’m home. (Recently I have started covering acne with makeup for work more often though)
The list goes on..
Right now I wash my face with 4% BP at night and the moisturize before doing adapelene (.1%)
Has anyone had any success with this type of acne? Could this be a slow purge of all the garbage I was putting in my body for years? I would really appreciate any advice, thanks :)

How to use a BHA if I use retinol daily?
Hi, I use the ordinary 1% retinol serum every night but noticing my makeup is going on very patchy and thinking it’s time to start using an exfoliant again weekly. I’m thinking of using the Paula’s choice BHA again but don’t know how to incorporate it into my routine (eg how many nights should I use the BHA and skip my retinol)

How do I know if I have combo skin
basically my t zone is very oily but the rest of my skin is pretty dry, I’m 15 I’d say I have naturally pretty good skin since I don’t have a skincare routine at all and I don’t wash my face but I still have really clear skin. I thought I had combo skin until one day I was talking with a group of friends and skin types come up so I mention I have combo skin, but one of the girls said that my skin was too good to be combo skin and everyone else agreed. so now I’m kinda confused

Advice on Good Molecules Brightening and Dark Spots Bar
My dermatologist recommended this product for my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I'm currently using Azelaic Acid 15% twice a day and have a very simple skincare routine (cerave gentle cleanser, La Roche Posay moisturizer and sunscreen for combo skin).
Did anyone use it this soup bar? Anything I should be aware of before using it?
