Literally

And she had the PERFECT opportunity to take the picture imo because the cost was pretty much clear except for that old hag that PURPOSELY decided to WAIT in front of her phone THEN shift over to block her…

Photo opportunity disappeared as soon as everyone else started to enter. Smh

It looked like she side stepped to let the other person up the stairs to me.

Yeah I'm not entirely sold on it being intentional. She did notice the phone and then pull hers out, and it's a bit weird to stop on the stairs, but everything else just looks like a lady going about her day.

The lady videoing could've waited a bit longer and got her shot.

She did look right at the phone, so she definitely saw it. Even if she didn't stand there to block the shot, it's still pretty rude to stand on the stairs looking at your phone. You can't wait until you're out of people's way before you stop to check your phone?

Either way, it's not being courteous to other people around you.

Doesnt matter cause why would she stop right there?… and look at the phone too?…

9

u/IsaacAndTired Aug 30 '26

Maybe she stopped because she needed to look at her phone. It's like there's no such thing as nuance anymore. It's either this or that.

2

u/spiderwell Aug 30 '26

Oh I agree, I just don't think the side step was part of the intention.

1

u/chaosawaits Aug 31 '26

😂 the side step was 100% without question to block her selfie. There is absolutely no doubt

It looked like she moved over so those people could walk up the stairs

Let me know when you figure out why people stop in dumb places to look at their phone, because it is not exclusive to this old lady. Hanlon's razor. Learn it.

u/SharkSprayYTP Aug 30 '26

She could've looked into the camera (which she already did) and said "i did that intentionally" and youd still pull a "lets not jump to conclusions here"

You're an unpleasant person who is quick to assume.

What are you talking about? They didnt just "exist in the same area" the old lady purposefully looked at the camera, and decided to stop just to ruin someones selfie.

Please go back to school and learn how to read. Then come back here, read what i said, and then realise how stupid you have been.

You might actually be a child.

Idk what hanlons razor is. But that lady damn well stopped on the stairs in front of that camera on purpose.. she does a triple take at the camera to make sure.

It knew what it was doing.

u/samv_1230 Sep 01 '26

Almost like an older person, confused about the strange thing on the stairs. Truly amazing.

You’re right, thank you for your correction.

For those curious, this is what it is:

“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

2

u/_chococat_ Aug 30 '26

You wouldn't look at a random phone sitting somewhere where normally there aren't phones?

5

u/Fr1toBand1to Aug 30 '26

I'd like to see more people experiencing life rather than compulsively documenting it.

3

u/AssMuncher96 Aug 30 '26

That requires leaving your basement

4

u/erogenouszones Aug 30 '26

I’d like to see a lot of things but I can’t control people and what they want to do. If she wants selfie videos of herself, why let it twist your panties

4

u/reddit_sells_you Aug 30 '26

Because the SM vanity culture has fucked so many places.

Some of my favorite spots have a reservation system now because someone wants to go shoot a 20 second TikToc video of themselves pretending to be contemplative in nature.

I've talked to rangers about it. So many people, every day, show up, spend about 5 mins, then leave.

Whether or not she's an influencer is irrelevant. She is addicted to whatever likes she's going to get. It's not about memories. It's about performance addiction.

1

u/easycoverletter-com Aug 30 '26

She is not contributing to fucking up of places. She didn’t ask her to step aside. She didn’t shove her phone in peoples faces.

2

u/reddit_sells_you Aug 30 '26

Ah, white knight who doesn't know how to take the whole argument.

She brought a fucking tripod with her, set it up in a railing so that she could go "pose" with this art. 100% she's reserved a spot in some park and spent all of 15inutes there just for her "shot."

It's 100% for her Insta addiction.

You know how I know?

25 years ago, this shit wasn't happening.

1

u/easycoverletter-com Aug 31 '26

Idk man let people enjoy life, if they’re hoarding change the rules

2

u/reddit_sells_you Aug 31 '26

Yeah, I'll just tell the armed park ranger to fuck off because there are to many insta devas in the grove.

Sounds great.

u/easycoverletter-com Aug 31 '26

Change the rules

0

u/Fr1toBand1to Aug 30 '26

And if she wants to stand on the stairs and check her phone, or enjoy the gallery, why let it twist your panties?

No that’s what you’re being in the comments

2

u/Aicethegamer Aug 30 '26

If you think that, then you are the issue just like the old hag in the video.
