#1 have you guys ever been in a position where you registered for an event but never got a zoom link? I registered for an issues committee meeting. Contacted all the state organizers. The Ohio sierra club phone number keeps cutting me off. I called the national chapter. They asked me to contact everyone.

#2 Also what do I do if the state chapter contact links not seem to work. #3 I have nothing against the sierra club group. I totally reject a form of environmentalism that doesn't look at social justice. #4 however, it seems super duper disorganized

I just ended my monthly $40 per month donation over this calendar after 20 years. This is just insulting.

Hi!

I am an environmentalist, a senior in high school. I want to start a sierra club chapter in my school that is centered on activism regarding climate action and less just "recycle plastic" and individual action. I want it to be about collective action. I'm in my recycling club. I want this club to be about collective action? How do I start this, where do I report, what topics do I talk about?

Hello all! We just launched our new Proposal and Development Tracking Site for California. Free to use! We are completely neutral on each proposal and hope to give citizens and easy way to email your opinions and thoughts to the actual decision makers.

There's an old PDF from the Iowa Chapter entitled "Bible Quotes in Support of Stewardship," but I'm not finding a copy online anywhere you don't have to sign up, just Yumpoo [sic] and a kind of dead-end link to Scribd; it redirects or something. I skimmed iowa.sierraclub.org at the Wayback Machine, but nothing jumped out from their home pages.

I saved the image files from Yumpoo, but does anyone have the actual PDF that s/he'll share?

Thanks.

Hi! I have not yet attended any Sierra Club events as I just learned about it and my local group is not as active as some of the other ones. I saw that the Florida Chapter Q2 meeting is in Orlando the same weekend I will be there. I am nervous about going alone and I was just wondering if anyone had any more info about those meetings, such as would it be easy to talk to people/make friends? Would I be judged for not yet attending events or getting a membership? Thank you!

Hi, our group has been using Meetup to post outings and general meetings, but our Chapter is trying to get us to stop using Meetup entirely. I looked and noticed other groups from other states on Meetup and just wondered 1) is your group on Meetup and if so, 2) do you duplicate the Meetup RSVP on Campfire and 3) do you have an electronic sign-in at events so they can be registered on Campfire when they attend an event, or how does your group handle the fact that the Sierra Club wants participants entered on Campfire but Meetup has (in my opinion) tremendously more reach? Thanks.

I recently rejoined SC and have had trouble with online access. Requested support. Three months later requested it again and got what looks like AI slop. Either that or the person who replied simply does not comprehend written English. Is this typical of other pwople's experiences?

Hi, does anyone reading this use Canto for photos they put in Sierra Club publications?

There's been a staff turnover as far as the person who manages Canto or however I should put it...the Sierra Club's photo database at Canto. I have tried emailing canto help and gotten no response.

I was given to understand we aren't supposed to upload other people's photos...the person who took the photo is supposed to upload it and give permissions.

But now the "Share Your Photos with the Sierra Club" portal is "404" "Access Denied."

Does anyone else use Canto and does anyone upload photos on other people's behalf? or send them somewhere and ask them to upload their own photos? thanks?

Finally some insight into the drama over Ben Jealous. Still not clear whether he's been fired, nor what the BOD vote was. But it's clear any vote to fire would not have been unanimous.

Greetings,

I used to get the Daily Ray of Hope emailed to me, and I haven't for a while. Is it something on my end, or did they stop sending out the Daily Ray of Hope?
