TLDR: black bolt is a comic hero who's whispers can level cities

Imagine knowing that an entire state is gone cause some dude wanted to talk in a V-tuber voice

26

u/Joda011980 12d ago

Well my state of tranquility is gone

u/StrangeCress3325 13d ago

I’m not an expert, but a whisper from black bolt can level a building and probably more. So presumably this black bolt spoke in an owo voice and it left only Val’s bones and a blasted landscape

14

u/jackofslayers 13d ago

one whisper from his mouth you mean.

23

u/DrScorcher 13d ago

What mouth?

14

u/My_Immortl 13d ago

As opposed to whispers that come out of elsewhere? I wasnt aware of such things lol.

u/RandomPlayer315 13d ago

You could say his farts are lethal

2

u/My_Immortl 13d ago

Guess I never considered those to be whispers lol.

Black Bolt is a racist cousin-fucker who enforces a caste system amongst other racist cousin fuckers that live on the moon in Marvel comics. His power is (basically, a much more nerdy version of) a supersonic voice that renders his voice an uncontrollable weapon. Basically, if you think of an inbreed hillbilly with a nuke for a voice, you're in the right direction.

7

u/No-Mulberry-8866 13d ago

Damn, why do you hate inhumans so much?

13

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

The meta reason is every time Marvel decides they want to try and axe the X-men, they bring in the Inhumans as a replacement. Every single time. "Surely, we can just tell the fans that these are their new favourite characters!" they seem to say, and then go all pikachu shocked face when it never fucking works.

The canon reason is, the overt racism against both humans and mutants despite being the former and using drugs to be like the later, the caste system within their own kingdom (hmm, the terrigen mists didn't give you a useful or pretty power, so you're untouchable now, k thanx die :3), and the incest (It's ok when WE do it, because we're royalty. Who decided that we're royalty? Well we did. Anyway, son/nephew, niece, when are you two getting married?). They just suck.

I'm with you, They're insane, I only allow some fandom for Crystal (Amaquelin) because the way she dogwalked Pietro after the Decimation gave me a tiny bit of catharsis for the story butchering the Decimation was. It felt like a little bit of immediate recompense for how he triggered the worst fucking plotlines of my lifetime.

3

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

Ooof, I find Crystal to be the worst of the lot. Openly abusive to her husband, weaponizes her child against him whenever she's not forgetting she even HAS a kid, serial cheater.... she's AWFUL.

2

u/AllPerspicacity 12d ago

Oh she's terrible, I just think they deserved each other & she had that soap opera camp i was missing at the time!

2

u/Rasberrycello 12d ago

Ahahah, fair enough!

3

u/Dracorex808 13d ago

The big time from the mid-2000s to Mid-2010s that they were pushing them so much was because of one awful guy in charge of much of Marvel named Ike Perlmutter, he deserves most of the hate

2

u/GundyrChristopher 13d ago

Calling it incest is disengenuous. Black Bolt and Medusa are related by marriage, not blood.

2

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

Incest is incest, babe. Also, not sure what you would call pushing their son to marry his (blood) cousin is, then.

2

u/GundyrChristopher 13d ago

It literally isn't incest, they are not related.

2

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

That's what people say about me and my family, since I'm adopted, and they have weird fetishes, but I still maintain: if you're raised as family, you're family, and fucking is therefore beyond gross.

Also, you still haven't address how they're not instinctual when they're pushing their son and Luna to marry. Your "tHeY aRe NoT rElAtEd" argument doesn't hold up, there.

3

u/p1nkfuzzymonkey 13d ago

I think youre moving goalposts or you fundamentally dont undertand OPs comment, which is that black bolt and Medusa arent related and therefore is not incest. No need to bring up other people because its not what the conversation is about

0

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

Goal posts firmly planted and unmoving! They think "Well they're only FAMILIY not BLOOD family, ergo not incest." My point of view is, as informed by my real life experiences, that "Family fucking IS incest, REGARDLESS of blood."

They are the ones refusing to acknowledge that even IF one concedes the first point, which I vehemently do not, the Inhumans clearly still do practice incest, as is evident by them trying to arrange a marriage between their son and his BLOOD RELATIVE cousin.

u/GundyrChristopher 12d ago

Ahura was not raised by the inhumans, he was adopted. Your logic of "if you're raised as family, you're family, and fucking is therefore beyond gross" doesn't even apply here.

1

u/Rasberrycello 12d ago

Ahh, but yours does! So which is it? Are the two who were raised together committing incest, or the two who are blood relatives being pushed to commit incest by those who were raised together? Because your definition is the one hanging in the balance here. The Inhumans? They don't care so long as they can keep it in the family in SOME way, and I will always hate them regardless, but you seem invested.

u/Doomsayer189 13d ago

they bring in the Inhumans as a replacement. Every single time.

How many times do you think that's happened?

1

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

I can think of three off the top of my head.

1

u/Doomsayer189 13d ago

Which times? There's the nuhumans era but I'm not familiar with any others.

1

u/Rasberrycello 13d ago

The Legacy Virus, the original plan was to kill off all mutants and replace them with the Inhumans. The Nuhumans, as you mentioned. And the disasterous attempt at bring in the Inhumans into the shittacular MCU.

1

u/Bysmerian 5d ago

I'm gonna need some citation on the legacy virus because while I didn't have my finger entirely on the pulse of what the plans were at the time it felt a lot like it was a lingering plot thread that primarily went after second stringers and side characters rather than anyone important

u/Maleficent_Self1435 13d ago

That's Blackagar Boltagon to you young Lady!

The most amount of fan art Black Bolt has received in a decade

10

u/YoungShitheel 13d ago

Oh Audrey must've gotten blackbolts powers. And his outfit

Imagine that. If what I'm suspecting (Audrey having a high pitched voice) is true, then him having blackbolts powers would make him EXTREMELY DESTRUCTIVE.
