[Matthew Fairburn] Speaking on WGR550 this morning, Sabres’ coach Lindy Ruff said it's doubtful Rasmus Dahlin will join the team in Toronto. He also said Alex Lyon had a setback and won't be on the ice for a couple of days and Tyson Kozak has an upper body issue and is back in Buffalo.

Article [Fairburn] Sabres battle through imperfections as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen helps steal point in Montreal
Nobody would accuse the 2026-27 Buffalo Sabres of being a perfect hockey team through seven games.
After a dream season a year ago, the Sabres haven’t come roaring out of the gate to start the year. And it’s not just one issue holding them back. There have been lapses in defensive zone coverage, shoddy play on special teams and unreliable goaltending. The scoring has dried up at times, too.
But while the Sabres work their way through their issues, they’re finding a way to scrap together points. A day after playing their best game of the season in a 5-3 win against the Florida Panthers, the Sabres went to Montreal and looked sluggish against the Canadiens. Through two uninspiring periods, the Sabres were down 3-1.
Then in the third period, the Sabres somehow found a way to scratch and claw back into the game. In the span of 1:01 on the game clock, the Sabres scored two goals to tie the game. Both were on long-distance shots that redirected off Canadiens players on their way into the net. First, Josh Norris had a turnaround shot at the blue line through traffic. Then Olen Zellweger took a decisive point shot that found its way to the back of the net for his second goal of the game. And along the way, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned in his best game of the season, stopping 35 of 38 shots to drag the Sabres to a shootout.

[Chad DeDominicis] Let's see who's hitting the net and who isn't: Tage miss rate down to start the season, Krebs continues to miss the net a lot, Dahlin is hitting the net when he gets the puck through

Fuck the Leafs Heading Toronto for the Game Thursday. Looking for Advice and Others’ Experiences.
As the title says, I’m headed to Toronto Thursday to watch our Sabres play in the Leafs house. Anyone else have any advice or experiences with going to enemy territory for a game. Note I will be going with a buddy that’s a season ticket holder for the Leafs.
I just want to know what it was like crossing the border on game day, what the experience was like at the game and being in Toronto in general. My only experience with going to Canada is going fishing and camping in the Thousand Islands and going to Niagara Falls. So any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks All, LET’S GO BUFFALO and FUCK THE LEAFS!

[HockeyStatCards] NHL Game Score Impact Card for Buffalo Sabres on 2026-10-13:
- UPL was fucking monstrous tonight. a ton of highlight reel save
- Zellweger with his first 2 goals as a Sabre! he's got a great motor, loved the speed from him tonight. Not Power's greatest game, glad Zelly could take his spot as the main mover
- So so glad they clawed their way back, even with the lack of possession time. they've got serious fight this season, really pleased with it
- Mally, Danforth, and Norris stepping up this game is really good to see. early wake up for depth scoring in this season
- Held a lot of ground without Dahlin. Obviously want more shots and more control, but ultimately not mad at that game at all. we didn't give up! 🥳

Happy Fuck The Habs Day everyone!
Hoping we can get a win for Dahlin! Yesterday I was manifesting a PP goal, Zelly point, and a goal from the Benny/Östlund/Quinn line. Today I just want good goaltending and a win 😁 hoping the manifesting works again.

[BFHS] "I'm not going to sit here and tell you that Seth Appert deserves assistant coach of the year for the work he's done on the power play. But I'm also going to tell you that Lindy Ruff has a pretty big hand in how the power play is put together and run." Matthew Fairburn

In search of breakaway white away jersey again..
Anyone have any luck lately? Can’t get it from fanatics because it’s still out of stock. I got a Dahlin C alternate AGH breakaway and it’s real nice, I want to get a breakaway white away now. I bought the home blue breakaway earlier this year but I still can’t find the white anywhere. Anyone have any luck yet? I’m also in NJ so unfortunately visiting the Sabres store isn’t an option currently unless I road trip lol. Thanks!!

Was UPL getting boo’d yesterday?
I was at the game and it was hard to tell between boo and luuuuk when he took the ice. Definitely sounded like there were some boos in there. Even though the result was better, there were still some shots that UPL didn’t see at all and got saved by the pipe.

[Chad DeDominicis] Sabres and Canadiens meet again today for the first time since Game 7 in June. Similar 5v5 numbers. Sabres PP crawling out of the basement. Sabres PK stinks in every number.
