I was playing rf4 special, it was autumn and I changed the music to rf1's for a change. I'd never happened to hear that rf1 autumn theme before. It seems to include a bit of melody from Stairway to Heaven or at least similarities? That music hit me so bad I had to take a moment just frozen there!! The melancholic and lonely feeling music combined with the characters talking about winter's arrival made me super emotional :') Kiel said something about having cold hands making it difficult to turn books' pages and I found that so precious. These kinds of warm and simple things make me really love the whole Rune Factory series~

I wonder how many others have had similar thoughts? What makes a RF game special to you?

I was able to get both a wooly and Buffamoo. However, they don't drop produce like in 3 and I can't find the clipper and milker. I though farming milk and wool could be reliable source of income since crops are not easy to plant but how do you get milk and wool from tamed monsters?

I've been looking into what allows child villagers to randomly join overnight, and found a lot of differing thoughts from closer to when the game released. I'm curious if people are more confident in some answer or another now?

If it's main story progress then I don't think that's an issue for me because a friend says he got them before he had all the villages unlocked, whereas personally I've been waiting for a while just before/after dancing for the Kagura Shrines (one person did say they thought children with a certain trait are locked behind a postgame dungeon, but I'm talking just any random child in general). It can't require that you've rescued all the transformed children because of that, either, since there's one in Winter Village, which he wouldn't have been able to get. Myself, I've rescued the Spring and Summer ones, so I do have two villages with one child each (haven't figured out how to get the Autumn/Winter ones). I'd struggle to believe it's pure RNG because I've probably seen around 200 villagers and not a single child. I've tried leaving a lot of open slots in villages, or having 20 villagers and being near cap, though the latter I haven't tried THAT much...? Could it be tied to village level? Mine are all in the 6-8 range, so none are maxed. Could it require having your own children first? I don't have a spouse yet. Could it relate to village happiness or events? I've got a couple villages that have been 100% happiness for a while, though I only recently held my first contest. Could it be tied to skill trees or having certain structures or being a certain character level or doing some specific character's event or just needing a certain number of ingame days to pass (I'm only in my first Summer)? No clue! That's why I'm here to ask--any findings anyone has had would be appreciated!

It’s better than I imagined. The amount of awesome stuff this set included. The soundtrack is going to be epic to listen to. The Art book has so much detail and neat concept art that shows the care the Devs have for this game.

Wanted to chibi-fy the MCs of the game along with my two favorites of the marriage candidates from each gender! They're pretty much in the poses of their official artwork, since my main goal was just to see how they would all look in my style.

Who are your favorite Rune Factory 4 bachelors/bachelorettes? If I draw another one(s), who should it be? :D

I think many anticipate a grown up Julian returning and even being a romanceable bachelor in RF6 while I don't think this guaranteed there's a very good chance this happens.

In regards to GOA a grown up Kotaro and Suzu could make an appearance in RF6 too. I'm not sure lore wise if it makes sense for the gods to show up as I feel like they would be busy with local shenanigans but then again peace and prosperity had been established after GoA. I feel like Ikaruga would make the most sense being sent on a mission from Azuma.

Something I would like to see happen but doubt will happen due to scope is have the MC of either RF5 or GOA or both show up with whoever you romanced on your save file making who ever you romance canon. This would be a massive undertaking so I doubt it will happen but it would be cool to see especially seeing what both Ares/Alice and Subaru/Kaguya are up to.

Has anyone managed to break into/puzzle out the romance quiz for guardians of azuma to figure out who is second place and such because. The quiz is vaguely homophobic and gave me 80% compatibility with Subaru which is great except. I am a man and therefore am playing as subaru.

Hey guys, playing RF3 after 100%ing RF4 a few months ago. Struggling hard at dragon ruins (The Lv140 dungeon), any advice on what I can do? Is it just a level issue?

Also what are some good upgrade materials this game? I noticed that there's no stat dropoff like RF4, so do you just spam scales?

I got and checked every single thing in Crops even the dumb 5 Mushrooms and Monarch Mushroom and Mealy Apple .. I swear if I get everything 100% but this thing happened..

We haven't seen them since 3 and given the only two we know of were essentially in exile we didn't get a chance to learn much of their culture or the norms of their race. Would you want to see them in 6?

Or potentially, in a long shot, would you like to play an Univir if they're the player character?

Rune Factory is considered first and foremost a Farming Sim this is true even though it officially a hybrid JRPG. Although in my expierence (granted I only played 3 4 5 and GOA) for a series primarily considered as such I found the actual Farming to make up around 20% of my entire playthrough and they make up less of my day when I get tamed monsters to water my crops and I buy better farming Gear making it so I only Till, Plant and ship I like the farming for the record and this is done for large harvests. I would say around 50% of my playthrough is on dungeon crawling and the rest is just other life sim stuff so what about that ~50%?.

It's pretty fun it has has a diverse set of weapons and abilities and the gear progression is really satisfying going from nothing but a short sword to having you and your party all geared up with cool looking swords and all kinds of spells and abilities you either brought, crafted or found in chests really is a satisfying journey and honestly each title has gotten more refined especially GOA. Although while GOA is the most polished when it comes to combat it was a shame not to have fists, Axes, spears, staffs and Hammers while it could be debated to what extent the sacred treasures and other features made up for what was lost it kind of felt like a net loss in playstyles and abilities I also felt like RF4 and RF5 had more interesting dungeons. I would like to see this expanded in RF6 the magitek world leaves the possibilities endless on how it could be expanded.

I do worry the cozy label will stunt the growth of the RPG aspects of the series which is a shame as it has immense potential I'm not looking for this game to be a soulslike but add some challenge back add more depth experiment hopefully the label doesn't prevent the devs from doing such although RF4 is pretty in depth and challenging and that game is considered cozy so hopefully the devs won't be too deterred because I think they have the foundation for the RPG aspects to be the best in the series with 6.

I got the first golem and tamed both a Wooly and a Buffalo. However, it doesn't seem clear what exactly I am suppsoed to do. I destroyed sone gates but nothing really happened. I haven't done any requests (I think there is a board like in 2 and 3). What exactly is needed to progress plot?

While I've never beaten the game (for no particular reason, I just usually play it until I'm bored of it with no regard to story progress lol) I have played it a decent amount on the original 3DS version and never saw this any time I've ever played it. I buy Special so I can play it on my TV and go for the platinum trophy and I'm seeing a lot of (typically minor) bugs that I've never seen before.

Vishnal being out of bounds is by far the most noticeable though. I usually find him either in a building and outside of the playable area, or off the vista ledge in the northwest part of town, or most recently he was in the women's side of the bathhouse and I had to go into the men's side and talk to him through the wall to even talk to him.

Is the Special version especially buggy compared to the original or am I just having a weird time with the game in this run? lol

She's a regular size person and taller than many of the other characters. Have RF dwarfs always been normal size? I've mostly played Frontier and Tides... I don't really remember any dwarfs.

I was wondering what is a good way to level crafting skills because i'm at the beggining and forge and stuff like this is leveling painfully slow and the upgrqde to have good weapons with the item that the mini boss drop is insanely high i don't know how i can get a rp of four digits I'm also on rune factory 4 special

Edit: everyone thanks for the help my forging is now level 26 i'm trying to see what can i do to have the same with alchemy and maybe the armors. I'm approaching end game i think and i'm supposed to what i think is the last mini boss fight. I wanna be god tier😌

Hard, not hell (non-special vers). If you go with NG+ can you just use no/default gear on hard mode and still experience a challenge or will the main story/dungeons eventually just become unavoidably easy (especially if you did multiple NG+ runs)?

Edit: By NG+ I am referring to the order where you 'inherit' your stuff from another save.
