The guitar is a Squier Strat Mini (3/4 size). All tones and effects through the Boss GT1 (I don't use any reverb or delay). Amp is Boss Katana Mini X (set to clean with no effects).

EDIT: The amp is pretty close to the phone mic to mask the string picking noise as much as possible and as a result the audio in the video is more distorted and more treblie than what my tone actually is.

I had a really tricky time deciding what to use, because most lines I wanted were just slightly too long to fit. In the end I just decided to go with “Quixoticelixir”. Just the title. All time favorite song by my all time favorite band, felt right. It’s niche as hell but who cares!

Just a little cover of Breaking The Girl that I did tonight very difficult to sing but such a fun one to do.

I Gave it a listen and it was Amazing, its so funny, catchy, energetic, Funky and punk, i love the fact that it dosen't become obnoxious and come across as imature. Its early Chilli to its peak. I get why people think its so underrated. It also has its moments of pure skill, chemestry and artistic mastery from Flea, John and , Chad.

This is my Favourite band of all time, with absolute no doubt, yet, they can still surprise me on a hyper good side AND make me love them even MORE.

Anyone have a copy of this book? It's not available at my library and Amazon wants $20 for a <100 page book. I was hoping we could set up some type of library/loaner situation where we pass it around interested parties in this sub.

I guess most people here don’t care much about band’s early stuff, but Freaky Styley was always my most favourite and made me a fan decades ago. Back in October 2016 I obtained a vinyl copy that previously belonged to the late Art Boerke - a club promoted. AK, Flea, Hillel & Cliff signed it for him in late November 1985. Was not too expensive btw.
Then I added in person George Clinton (producer) & Bennie Cowan (trumpet) in Amsterdam 2018 and Maceo Parker (saxophone) in Berlin 2018.
Fred Wesley who not only played trombone but was a key figure in arrangement writing all the horn parts, was the last missing active member with enormous contribution to the record. So having it close moneyed today is really interesting experience 10 years later (41 actually). Not sure if any other copies like this exist - the band played a show with George Clinton and Horny Horns once, but before the vinyl was released

Ok so I was listening to Carpetman for about a hour straight. He’s a great singer and has a lot of really good songs. Well his music is kinda sad and has a deeper meaning. Well anyways after listening to him for about a hour I switch to Dark Necessity by Red Hot Chili Peppers and the song made me cry. I really don’t cry listening to music but this time it really hit.

Also I’m a top 2% listener of Red Hot Chili Peppers on Spotify. So ig it makes sense I understand there music a lot more then other artists.

Anyone else get the “Red Hot Chili Peppers effect”then listening to one of there songs?
