It felt normalized ever since the mass celebration of Charlie kirks death. Now death kind of seems normal now, just a part of life, an "oh well" and move on. Friends I know feel the same, and we're a mix of Democrats Republicans and Centrists.
Ah yeah so no one assassinated anyone for political reasons before Charlie Kirk in the US. Nobody. Nobody ever mocked the deaths of people they hated. It all started with Charlie Kirk.

Sergio Adrian Hernandez-Guereca (15) shot and killed June 7, 2010 in El Paso, TX by a Border Patrol agent after a group of suspected undocumented immigrants reportedly threw rocks at agents
Ramses Barron Torres (17) shot and killed Jan. 5, 2011 in Nogales, AZ after allegedly throwing rocks at Border Patrol agents. Witnesses deny he threw rocks. DOJ stated in their press release closing their investigation that they reviewed surveillance videos, but videos have not been released publicly.
Carlos Lamadrid (19) shot 3 times in the back and killed March 21, 2011 in Douglas, AZ by a Border Patrol agent while fleeing across the border into Mexico, reportedly transporting marijuana. The agent was allegedly under attack by an individual throwing rocks when he fired
Jose Alfredo Yañez Reyes (40) shot and killed June 21, 2011 at the border crossing near Tijuana, Mexico while suspected of attempting to cross the border irregularly. Agents claim suspected border crossers were throwing rocks
Gerardo Rico Lozano (20) shot and killed November 3, 2011 near Corpus Christi, TX after allegedly driving towards Border Patrol agents who pulled over his vehicle.
Juan Pablo Perez Santillán (30) shot and killed July 7, 2012 near Matamoros, Mexico while standing on the banks of the Rio Grande. Border Patrol claims Perez Santillán was throwing rocks; witnesses in Mexico say he was unarmed.
Valeria Munique Tachiquin-Alvarado (32) shot and killed Sept. 28, 2012 in Chula Vista, CA by a plain-clothed Border Patrol agent in a residential suburb of San Diego. The agent alleged she had struck him and was carrying him on top of her car prompting him to fire in self defense. Witnesses tell conflicting stories.
Ernesto Gutierrez Cortez (38) shot October 19, 2013 in Campo, CA. A Border Patrol agent shot at the suspect vehicle when the driver made a U-turn and drove directly at him. Driver sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Do you believe that these people killed under Obama were driving cars and throwing rocks at border patrol? The same lies used by ICE now to claim Renee Good was driving a car at them?

People like me were against the homeland security act when Democrats passed it through a democratically controlled senate, I was against ICE for-profit detention centers when Obama and Biden were locking up immigrants to make money for private prison corporations, and I was against the lack of accountability for DHS border killings under Obama. I care about this issue regardless of who is in power.
Libs hypocritically ask why Republicans dont care about ICE killings under Trump when you people close your eyes to everything democrats have done to advance the inhumane treatment of immigrants when you cant use it to attack a republican administration.
