Question how to change camera settings on 7 pro?

i used to have an 8a, and i wayyyy prefer the crisp, higher contrast. i was looking up how to change the settings for my 7 pro camera to at least emulate the 8a camera, but what i saw online doesn't match up with my phone.

it said to go to the bottom right and get to fine tune sliders, but they aren't there. there's only shadow, brightness, and white point.

please help!

Question Is it worth it to try again?

On July I bought a pixel 7 pro that just had it's screen changed, I asked the guy to show me if it was really an amoled display and everything seemed okay, a few days later I bought the phone but the NEXT day during a date, in truly the worst case scenario the screen never turned on again, I had to go with this girl to see what was wrong, apparently the idiot who did it didn't unplug the battery during the screen replacement so I had to pay for a new screen plus service, the replacement lasted A WEEK, again the screen was fried, the technician said it was a malfunction from factory so again I need to get a new screen, should I get it or forget about the phone? Kinda makes me sad cause I saved for a long time for it, and at that point for all the money i used in fixing it I could just pay for a new one

Recommendation Green pixel line... End of my P7P?

It happened, yesterday on my 4-year old P7P appeared a green pixel line. Sometimes at wake up it takes long and slowly the screen comes ti life from right to left.

Worth it changing the screen (at least 300 eur/usd with original piecel) try the DIY, or change mobile? And any suggestions for solid mobile phones, with good battery life? That's what matters the most...

Battery Battery life

Recently upgraded from my pixel 7 pro that had 95 percent battery health to an iPhone and man!! I had really gotten so used to the mediocre standby and generally poor battery performance…..my iPhone is a beast in efficiency……this will probably be the most noticeable thing for the guys upgrading from the pixel 7 pro

Discussion Thinking of upgrading my Pixel 7 pro

Hello everyone. I am living in South East Asia. I bought my current pixel 7 pro in February 2023 from the USA Facebook marketplace through a friend. The problems I have faced so far:

  1. My phone can't find any security updates. I need to update my phone by connecting to pc via USB.

  2. Facing an immense network issue with my county's mobile carriers. Network is always weak.

  3. Wifi signal drops sometimes.

  4. My phone has a greenline.

If I upgrade to 10 series what are the possibilities of facing the same problem?

Do you want to suggest other brands instead of google pixel?

Question Can someone please help me fix this flashlight issue on my Google pixel 7 pro?

Post image

I've been having this issue for about a month, I think it's water damage but it doesn't make sense, I remember the moment when it happened, I opened a game on my phone and it was dark in my room so I turned on the flash to find something, the phone suddenly shut off and when it powered back on the flash light option was grayed out, even in the camera app the flash option has disappeared, anyone who had this issue or have knowledge on how to fix it please share.

Question How to delete videos off Google pixel?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone bit of a weird question but I downloaded a video from my friend off his Google drive (blurred out for privacy) and I wanted to then delete off my phone and it then said "failed to trash" as shown in the screenshot. I do not know what this "failed to trash" means and have tried multiple ways of deleting it but nothing seemed to work. Has this happened to anyone before and if so could I gain some help. I have a pixel 7 which is quite old but otherwise has no other issues really. It may have a ridiculously easy fix but I'm crap with phones so apologies in advance. Any advice is welcomed

Android Pixel users in China: one-tap VoLTE / 5G calling for China Mobile / Unicom / Telecom SIMs (no root, open source)

If you've used a Pixel 10a with a mainland China SIM, you probably know the problem: Google's carrier config doesn't enable VoLTE for China Mobile / China Unicom / China Telecom. So calls fall back to 3G/2G (or just fail on 5G), there's no VoLTE icon, and VoNR is out of the question.

The usual fixes are root + Pixel IMS tweaks, or plugging into a PC and running adb commands every time you reboot. I wanted something I could do from the phone itself, so I built **VoLTE Toggle**.

**What it does**

- One switch per SIM to enable VoLTE

- Optional: VoNR (5G calling), 5G SA, VoWiFi

- Optional "re-apply after boot"

- No root, no computer, no Shizuku

- Free, MIT-licensed, no ads, no analytics, doesn't talk to any server (its only network traffic is to your own phone's ADB port)

- UI in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Русский, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português

**How it works (for the curious)**

Android only lets privileged callers change carrier config. The app contains a small ADB client and connects to your phone's own **Wireless debugging** over localhost. It then runs a bundled instrumentation that temporarily gets shell permissions and calls `CarrierConfigManager.overrideConfig()` to set the VoLTE-related keys (`carrier_volte_available_bool`, etc.). After that it resets IMS so the VoLTE icon shows up right away, without a reboot.

**Setup (one time)**

  1. Connect to Wi-Fi (Wireless debugging only runs on Wi-Fi)
  2. Enable Developer options and turn on Wireless debugging
  3. Tap "Start pairing" in the app and type the 6-digit code into the notification

After that it's just flipping the switch.

**Honest caveats**

- The override isn't persistent (Android doesn't allow that for non-system apps). It resets on reboot, so you flip the switch again or use "re-apply after boot". That also needs Wireless debugging on and Wi-Fi connected.

- You'll probably need to re-apply after an OTA update.

- I've tested it on a **Pixel 10 with China Unicom**. The other carriers and other Pixels should work the same way, but I haven't verified them, so reports are very welcome.

- It uses Wireless debugging, so read the code if that makes you nervous. It's small (~1k lines of Java).

Happy to answer questions. If it works (or doesn't) on your Pixel + carrier combo, please comment or open an issue with the model and carrier so I can build a compatibility list.
