Welcome to r/PRGE! 🎮 📼 🕹️

I created this subreddit after attending the 2026 Portland Retro Gaming Expo and realizing there didn't seem to be a dedicated Reddit community for the event. Considering how long PRGE has been around, I figured it was about time!

While PRGE brought us together, I'd love for this community to grow into something more than just a place to discuss the annual expo.

The idea is simple: Create a year-round space for people who enjoy retro gaming, vintage technology, collecting, nostalgia, and discovering interesting pieces of the past.

What can you share here?

• 📸 Convention experiences: Photos, videos, cosplay, panels, special guests, and memorable moments from PRGE.
• 🎮 Retro gaming: Games, consoles, arcades, handhelds, collections, pickups, and hidden gems.
• 📼 Vintage media: VHS tapes, magazines, comics, books, old advertisements, and forgotten entertainment.
• 🧸 Toys and collectibles: Action figures, memorabilia, trading cards, and childhood treasures.
• 💾 Retro technology: Vintage computers, electronics, gadgets, repairs, and restoration projects.
• 🔎 Interesting discoveries: Flea-market finds, thrift-store oddities, garage-sale treasures, and things that make you wonder, "What on earth is that?"
• 🛠️ Projects and collections: Show off what you're building, restoring, collecting, or preserving.
• 📅 PRGE news and planning: Event announcements, questions, vendor discussions, tips, and plans for upcoming expos.
• 💬 Memories and nostalgia: Share something you remember growing up with, rediscovered after years, or just think others would appreciate.

You don't have to attend PRGE to participate. Whether you're a longtime attendee, casual collector, vendor, cosplayer, retro technology enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys discovering weird and wonderful old things, you're welcome here.

Let's get things started!

Did you attend PRGE 2026? What was your favorite part? Find anything interesting?

Have an unusual collectible, an old magazine, a forgotten piece of technology, or something nostalgic sitting on a shelf? We'd love to see it!

Feel free to introduce yourself in the comments or create your own post.

One quick note: This is an unofficial, fan-run community and isn't affiliated with the Portland Retro Gaming Expo organizers.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone shares!
