With the Dodgers elimination the Tigers have won the trade!

Looking forward to Hope and I am going to stop by to see him in Toledo near the beginning of the year! With the lockout probably happening in the spring and the mudhens still playing I may stop by often.

If Hope or Ryan put up even a single WAR the tigers won this trade. Padres got hot garbage for Mize, doesn’t even matter what the return is.

I have no issue saying it brings me joy to see Skubal win nothing. Enjoy the lockout!

I’m not sure if anybody really remembers my post from a few months ago but I finally finished the tigers season blanket! A few days after the season was done I got a DM from the tigers and they asked if they could send me some stuff! The package got delivered today and i am speechless. I love this organization so so much and need to come up with my 2027 season project 🧡💙 (I’ll post the final update video in the comments)

Thank you to Immaculate Grid: Baseball for including the intersection of Detroit Tigers and 6+ WAR season for leading me down this rabbit hole

Bobby Higginson's highest WAR of his career was 5.0, in his sixth full season
Prince Fielder's highest WAR was 6.0, in his fourth full season
Kirk Gibson's highest WAR was 6.2, in his sixth full season

In his rookie year McGonigle's WAR was 7.1 - by this metric, he had a more successful season than any of these esteemed former Tigers ever had.

If this kid doesn't deserve rookie of the year, I don't know what does...

In this NLCS, 5 IP, 2 ER, with the loss. No pitchers are even allowed to pull a 2001 WS Randy Johnson in a series anymore.

I had never seen this before...

With today being the 20th anniversary of Maggs' historic home run, I'm searching for 3 broadcast calls I've either heard little or none of:

Tigers radio full game broadcast

Jon Miller ESPN radio

Athletics radio

If you have any links to any of these, please comment them below. Thanks in advance!

Detroit is going to need answers in its rotation moving forward, and Jackson Jobe could still be one of them.

Any thoughts to bringing in this guy to be the hitting coach next year? With the influx of young players on the Tigers team, maybe Kevin Long can be as asset with getting them acclimated to facing MLB pitching. The Phillies had an older roster last year and perhaps Long will have more of an impact with younger players.

Interesting they don’t include Moises Rodriguez in the list considering Rog from TMLR asked Scott Harris about Moises during the presser.
