TheoryCrafting Who will be "collected" by Doctor Doom for Doomsday? Spoiler

I wanted to see if we could compile a general list of heroes that will be captured by Doctor Doom ahead of Avengers Doomsday, presumably leaving them out of commission for Doomsday but leaving them available for Secret Wars, as well as WHY Doom is "collecting" them.

We know for a fact that Hulk was captured, and the post-credits scene of Brand New Day seems to indicate that Spider-Man is one of them too. We only have them to go off of, so with that admittedly-limited information, the first thing I can think of is that Doom is capturing MCU heroes who have variant counterparts in the larger multiverse, hence what he is referring to when he mentions "stolen lives". That would be pretty limited though, since after that you only really have Daredevil, Punisher, and Jean Grey (unless they choose to introduce the other MCU X-Men in the film).

As for those who WON'T be captured, we can eliminate all the characters who will actually appear in Doomsday though, outside of maybe them getting captured in the middle of the movie. That should remove Thor, Mr. Fantastic, Ant-Man, Cap, Yelena, Invisible Woman, Thing, U.S. Agent, Gambit, Shang-Chi, Magneto, Loki, Cyclops, Professor X, Human Torch, Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, Shuri, Sentry, Beast, Falcon, M'Baku, Nightcrawler, Ghost, Mystique, and Namor.

After that, it's pretty much open season on which characters will be captured and which ones won't. Based on the leaks, it seems clear that Worst Wolverine, Tobey Spider-Man, and Deadpool will be safe, even if Deadpool is the only one who lives past the opening scene. If we're right about who the Latverian witches are too, then Doctor Strange, Clea, and Wanda should also be "okay". As for ones that do get captured, I could see other X-Men from Earth-10005 that are confirmed to not be in Doomsday (e.g. Main Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Jean Grey, and X-23) to have been captured. You then have the whole multiverse of possibilities for legacy characters, such as Andrew Spider-Man, the two earlier Fantastic Fours (except 2005 Johnny obviously), Blade, Elektra, and earlier Hulks.

Thoughts?

Theory wait no hold on Renner’s IG story + VisionQuest premiere basically just leaked Hawkeye’s return??

• Upvotes

Bro hear me out on this. Jeremy Renner just posted an IG story with a bunch of classic framed West Coast Avengers comics, and paired with what happened in the premiere it feels way too specific to just be nothing. In the premiere when JARVIS is bugging out in Vision’s head running protocols, he straight-up tells Vision to call Clint Barton. Vision shoots it down immediately because he doesn't want to get Clint involved, but why the hell would Marvel have JARVIS drop Clint's name out of nowhere in 2026? Connect the dots: First, the episode title is "No Strings", screaming Age of Ultron. Back in AoU Clint was literally the guy who kept everyone hidden from Ultron at the farm, and he’s the one who gave Wanda the speech. Vision and Ultron both tie right back to him. Second, in the comics, the entire White Vision memory-wipe storyline (Vision Quest) literally happens in West Coast Avengers #42-45. And who was running the West Coast team back then? Hawkeye. Third, Clint is the only OG Avenger left completely off the grid. Sam’s running the public team, but if White Vision is on the run and losing his mind, Clint's farm is literally the only safehouse that makes tactical sense. Marvel putting Clint on Vision’s emergency speed dial feels like a massive Chekhov’s gun. If Vision spirals later this season, Clint is 100% getting called. Are we finally getting West Coast Avengers set up or am I just coping?

I've seen several theories that Doom is abducting Peter, causing the icon on the tracker to move to space. Maybe instead it's a second Peter arriving with FF4?

Thoughts on this?

Edit: I understand that it doesn't live track. Maybe something weird is going on that screwed with it, causing the glitch. You know, like jumping universes. Some handwaved interference, you know?

MCU Multiverse of Madness holds the entire setup for Avengers: Doomsday, and we all missed it.

Everyone has been debating how Victor von Doom will enter the MCU—whether he's an Iron Man variant, a traveler from another universe, or a time-manipulator. But the actual mechanical framework for Vingadores: Doomsday was already laid out back in 2022 during Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

When the movie came out, most of the discussion naturally centered on Wanda's arc and the Illuminati cameos. But looking back, two major points set the stage for Doom:

  1. Incursions are the central threat: Reed Richards (Terra-838) and Professor X explicitly explain that incursions occur when boundary lines between universes decay, causing two Earths to collide and destroy one or both realities. In Jonathan Hickman’s Secret Wars run, incursions are the exact cataclysm that forces Doom to step in.
  2. Stephen Strange triggered the collapse: In the mid-credits scene, Clea warns Strange directly: "You caused an incursion, and we're going to fix it." Strange’s reckless use of the Darkhold and dream-walking disrupted the stability of the multiversal timeline.

The Theory: Doctor Doom’s arrival in Doomsday won't just be an unprovoked invasion. Doom will act as a response to the destruction caused by the "heroes." Seeing his universe (or the entire multiversal structure) dying because of reckless spellcasting and timeline tampering by the Avengers/Doctor Strange, Doom will take absolute control to stop total erasure.

Strange created the crisis; Doom steps in as the ruthless savior who rebuilds the remnants into Battleworld.

What do you think? Is Strange's incursion the domino effect that makes Doom step up?

Theory Ned might actually remember peter - Strange's ring Spoiler

People say that ned doesn't remember peter and only figures out he's spiderman and that was why he got shocked at the end of brand new day. That doesnt explain why he remembers the handshake though and I've got a theory for that.

Was rewatching no way home yesterday and noticed something mad. When they do the handshake at some point, ned has the ring on his finger and at the end of it some sparks fly out. Ned's also has natural powers and could have accidentally done some kind of spell or something.

I think this might have interfered with the memory spell and could be the reason why he remembers the handshake perfectly and looks so shocked at the end.

What do u lot think

Theory Analyzing The MCU’s SpaceTime Mechanics

Time Travel In Loki doesn’t make much sense to me because like the rest of marvel they mixed it with the multiverse little to no distinctions which means the event of Loki call into question many things about The MCU Phases 1-3. It’s the best Phase 4 MCU series. But it also raises so many plot holes for The MCU when you think too hard, down to the fact that portal travel and other dimensions shouldn’t exist when The TVA is on prune timing 😂. I think DC’s Arrowverse did it best. Every Earth across The Infinite Multiverse has its own specific timeline, and when you alter that, the alternate timelines are tied to those earths. This makes it clear a timeline isn’t as large as a universe. So when Barry or The Legends alters time that only affects Arrowverse’s Earth-1 , it doesn’t impact Earth-2 or Earth-X , they have their own sets of timelines. This is just more traditional scientific theory. Modern Media like The Flash DCEU or Loki MCU follow Rick & Morty Logic where they conflate universes, dimensions & timelines together but the difference is even Rick & Morty Acknowledges hopping to another dimension/universe & altering it’s timeline isn’t always the same thing. Arrowverse stuck to Butterfly Effect Mechanics for The Multiverse and Second Dimensional Time Travel Mechanics for Time Travel. Normal Choices & outcomes across what if the Nazis won world war 2 are the result of the butterfly effect and create parallel earths meanwhile every act of time travel created sets of alternate timelines that can be altered or become permanent fixed points based on the situation.

DCEU Flash tried to establish Time Travel doesn’t create an alternate timeline but instead takes you to another universe except it sets up that the multiverse we experience is the result of Barry time traveling so it’s confusing whether his choices cause these events or these worlds predate his choices and trying to alter time just teleported him to a new reality. Barry apparently creates a whole new multiverse instead of one timeline, whether that effects the pre existing multiverse before the events of the film is anyone’s guess but considering DC has an active Omniverse, it probably doesn’t. In the movie It tied mixing Many Worlds Theory with The Butterfly Effect & Second Dimensional Time Travel but in a messy way.

The MCU has been conflating Universes/Dimensions & Timelines/Futures since Dr.Strange (2016) when ancient one introduced the multiverse but post endgame period in Loki they establish universes & timelines are just branch realities that get pruned to preserve the “sacred timeline”. So in The MCU & Marvel for that matter there isn’t a difference between the every day butterfly effect choices you make and actively using a Time Machine as both can violate “the sacred timeline”
This essentially takes away free will but also calls into question the logic of phases 1-3, how can the sorcerers see alternate outcomes and travel between dimensions in an. Infinite multiverse that’s supposed to be pruned down to a “sacred” timeline. What’s the difference between the dimensions shown in Thor, Dr.Strange , Loki, & Ant-Man is there a tier on dimensions or not. DC Comics set up a Many Worlds Infinite Multiverse in The Flash Of Two Worlds and stories like it where it was established works of fiction in the mind of a specific universe were just mirrors to view parallel realities that actually existed. This is referenced ironically in Dr.Strange 2 that established dreams are windows into the lives of our Multiversal selves.
Crisis On Infinite Earths then set up a Butterfly effect that alien scientists caused the multiverse by trying to witness the birth of creation of the source so DC shifted from MW1 to Butterfly Effect but that shifted back to MW1 when later comics established crisis events and infinite multiverses in The Omniverse were always meant to exist according to The Source making all these events predetermined. You could call it a retcon but infinite realities always seemed to exist even into the early Spectre & Fate Comics. So Many Worlds Theory for DC stands on a higher cosmology plane and is responsible for butterfly effect multiverse mechanics and second dimensional time travel to exist. Now the time travel in DC Comics is questionable. Flashpoint was established as an alternate timeline in Flash’s story and he undid it by time travel causing the new 52 for the main universe of DC, but in multiversity we find out flashpoint has it’s own earth, whether this is another flashpoint that isn’t an alternate timeline Barry undid or if Barry time traveling a second time made Flashpoint another earth entirely is the question and since the infinite multiverse and Greater Omniverse of DC leave the door open for both you could decide but overall DC handles this better to me in Comics & Arrowverse. Even The DCEU isn’t as confusing as Marvel Comics & The MCU which treats universes & timelines as the same while dimensions are sometimes conflated and other times explained. I theorize The Flashpoint Earth is just one of the many infinite universes that just so happens to be a replica of the alternate flashpoint timeline in the main universe Barry undid when he went back in time and caused the new 52. The Flashpoint earth is probably what if Flashpoint continued instead of getting reversed as The Flash did it, and that’s why it fits DC Elseworlds. We could theorize the flashpoint earth was created because Barry made that alternate timeline as The MCU introduced the idea that alternate timelines become parallel universes the longer they exist or we could theorize Barry ended up on that earth and him altering the timeline was him appearing there and escaping back to his universe but I interpret this all a certain way, I think creating a branch timeline or going to another universe entirely under this framework would be the exact same when every possibility in a many worlds multiverse is mapped out, it means your Choice to create that branch reality/timeline is no different then you just ending up there because it already existed, every decision you made, could’ve made and we gonna make already exists as a possibility under Many Worlds even before you made the decision to alter reality/time. So it’s not a matter of whether you created the alternate timeline/parallel universe or if you just ended up there, in the end both are true under the infinity framework and I think mixing multiverse travel & time travel wouldn’t have been a misstep on the MCU’s part was the sacred timeline existing before Loki met The TVA instead it should’ve been what He Who Remains was trying to accomplish with an active multiverse war between all the Kang’s and the TVA, have him succeed in creating it during the finale of season 1 and have Loki , Sylvie and co trying to undo it across 2-3 seasons so they can restore The MCU Multiverse. That way a similar Multiverse/Time Travel Plot-line can exist without all the plot holes and issues Loki technically caused.

MCU Why it's highly realistic for Tom Holland's Peter Parker to get the Symbiote suit in Secret Wars (Theory)

Hey everyone, With Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars on the horizon, there is a lot of debate about whether we'll see the Symbiote suit. Honestly, I think it's highly realistic that Tom Holland's Spider-Man will wear it, and here is why: The No Way Home Setup: Marvel didn't leave that piece of Venom in Earth-616 at the end of No Way Home for nothing. It’s a literal Chekhov's gun waiting to be used. Comic Book Accuracy: In the original 1984 Secret Wars, Peter Parker gets the black suit for the very first time. Adapting this in the MCU version makes perfect sense as a homage to the source material. Peter's Current Mental State: Right now, Peter is completely alone. No family, no friends, no identity. He is vulnerable, isolated, and grieving. This emotional darkness is the perfect environment for a symbiote to feed on and manipulate his anger. My only doubt is how they will balance this with Doctor Doom's massive storyline without making it feel rushed. What do you guys think? Will he get the suit during Secret Wars, or will they save it for Spider-Man 5?

MCU I guess Marvel planned something HUGE for Wong and scrapped it.

After Endgame, Wong became a character who showed up in a lot of movies and TV shows. It seemed pretty obvious that Marvel was giving him a lot of importance and building him up for something (maybe The Kang Dynasty?), but I think they gave up on that after everything that happened. Am I the only one that thought about this or did other ppl notice this too?

Leak RDJ/Ironman/Doom Theory Spoiler

Just had a thought while I was pooping about an easy way they could do the whole face reveal/same actor thing.

So far it sounds like Doom is upset because the incursions negatively impacted him and that he wants to take control so he can merge everything and prevent future incursions.

Based on comics/leaks, it sounds like when he ins at the end of Doomsday, we will merge all the worlds and form Battleworld and then we get Secret Wars.

On Battleworld everyone is supposed to have the memories wiped and are living new lives.

One thing I think they could do is have Doom learn about Tony during Doomsday, notice similarities in both their intelligence/ambition/will/ect, and become inspired by the way people on Earth-616 view him.

When Battleworld starts and Doom has “won”, he wants to be viewed as a hero because he saved everyone from the incursions that would have otherwise destroyed then.

In this new world he takes on the role of Ironman. He leaves his old life behind and he becomes the new Tony Stark. His magic doesn’t change how he actually looks(disfigured apparently), but does change the way people see him. They see him the way they saw Tony, and thats all they know about him in this new world.

MCU Why does RDJ even need to reveal his face as Doctor Doom?

I don't know if any leaks have already ruled this out, but why does Robert Downey Jr. even need to reveal his face as Doom?
You've already got the parallels between Doom and Iron Man with the whole "same task, different mask" thing, which would explain why the Russo brothers said they needed him for the role.
But couldn't he just play a comic-accurate Doom, and then we get a post-credit scene at the end of Doomsday with RDJ returning as Iron Man, allowing him to play both roles in Secret Wars?
I feel like the appeal for RDJ would be taking on an acting challenge like he did in The Sympathizer (great show, watch it), where he played multiple characters. And we'd still get to see him return as Iron Man, which I'd personally be really excited about. It would also make sense from Disney's perspective, as they'd be getting both Doom and Iron Man out of his massive price tag.

Theory Doomsday theory

what if doom is not just collecting banner, but other anchor beings.

now first things first. if anyone in earth 616 is an anchor being it’d be tony, but maybe an earth actually could have multipl, and it’s not until ALL anchor beings die before the universe collapses. maybe all og six avengers were all achor beings.

now back to the theory, what if doom’s collecting anchor beings to use as magnets. each universe is attracted to their respective magnet, so if banner gets moved to 828, 616 earth will foolpw causing an incursion.

so doom would collect all remaining anchor being magnets, to collapse the multiverse and then will ise the rubble to create battle world.

in the stolen lives line, he says “you must give them back”. maybe when he says give them back, he means, give back to a new universe, because for example cap: he was created a new univers to live in a new timeline when he stayed with peggy, but went back to 616. Stolen life. So steve would give back his new life by contribute to battle world, another new univers. so essentially steve created a new universe but left, so now doom’s forcing him to stick to what he committed to and is forcing him to live in a new universe (battleworld).
