finally, for first time in history we have spiderman 4. what a day!

Sony finally cracked the formula after two attempts let marvel do it

Sony should LITERALLY make a deal with the MCU to make all of the movies they have the rights to and make it so Sony doesn’t incur any potential losses but gets a % of any gains. If I was running Sony, that’s what I’d do.

All the money the MCU made them from the use of SpiderMan was more than lost prob 2x by them making all of their own movies, Morbius, Kraven, Madame Webb, the overall Venom trilogy, etc.

When will they learn?

Plus it would let the MCU to truly flex every single muscle they have and we would all win!

Actually Venom did make money, but rest yeah, pure, unadulterated garbage.

Wish they would do a follow up regarding what happened with the blob of Venom left over after he traveled the universes, but I guess we ain't getting proper Venom until Spidey 5 or something.

My bet is on Secret Wars. That's the comic accurate origin of Venom.

This is a wild punt, but what if Peter's genes continue going haywire and he does start developing into Man-Spider. Then the symbiote "fixes" things for him and thats why he initially keeps it. He could end secret wars with the black suit, and the next Spider-Man solo project picks up with him learning more and getting it off.

Not all 3 Venom movies together

the venom movies were all profitable. The first one was a big hit and other 2 did decent

Garbage can make money. I don't want to take anything away from the fans, but even Venom 1 felt like it was written by someone who only read the mid-90s, trashy and overexposed "we can't let popular characters be villains" Venom.

It's shocking how affecting Venom's original introduction was around ASM #300, where something is attacking Peter that doesn't trigger his Spider-Sense, and that book just opens with a panel of MJ, curled up in a ball, in absolute terror after being accosted by Eddie with the symbiote.

On one hand, I hope we can get a more horror-tinged Venom done right, but at this point I feel like he's been done too many times that it would make audiences groan. Until then, it's Tom Hardy doing slapstick in a fishtank all the way down.

I didn't say it was good, but compared to rest it wasn't half bad, it was kinda fun even if it wasn't faithful at all. But the fact is Venom is already in the main universe, it's just a matter of time before we meet Eddie of our universe and get proper Venom.

The Venom trilogy made a good deal of money. The first one cleared $250M in profits And the second and third one made tidy profits for themselves as well.

I'd hazard a guess that across the Spider Villain solo film portfolio Sony was pretty much break-even. If not, only a modest loss. Nowhere near the disaster that you're implying by saying that even in including the 3 (or 4) MCU Spidey films that Sony is still deep in the red.

Spiderman with Venom and then getting Miles would probably end up beating Doomsday/Endgame lmao.

Well, they need to show losses for tax filing and money laundering purposes.

Makes sense. TH's the greatest Spider-Man. TM was a bit too detached as good as he was as Spidey. TH is more THERE.
