We had a teacher who constantly came in with food for students. Chinese food, cakes, a big tray of these delicious sweet noodles, cookies etc. He also bought notebooks and folders for every student in the class and got each of us a rubick cube.

This was the year after I left, but he apparently bought every student in his class their gym uniforms. That made the school clamp down on this, because it made the other students jealous and made the other teachers look bad. Also the students were not technically supposed to be eating in class.

My guess is that he came from money and just loved teaching and didn't care about spending money.

More like hes just an insufferable and unprofessional pick me. I would wager that the other staff rightfully held him in contempt, but it was hard for you guys to see how pathetic he was when you were getting food

Sick sick human being. I can’t even fathom how someone’s brain can go there for such a good deed. The internet is interesting cause you get to understand how mentally unhinged some people are.

He does that because he has nothing else to offer and is insecure about his approval among children.

These children arent actually hungry. Their parents feed them regular meals. The school feeds them regular meals. Hes not feeding children. Hes giving them treats. With wild abandon.

I love my dog more than anyone could love a human child. But I dont give her massive amounts of treats every day. I give her treats to reward and teach her so that we can live in greater harmony and have fun together. I dont just hand them out to make her like me. Its not a matter of cost. Its a matter of loving her with wisdom.

I've met many such types. Invariably, they have nothing to offer. A lot of unfocused enthusiasm, sometimes an empty slogan, but absolutely no conviction or discipline. They dont truly care, otherwise they would be laser focused on what is actually important, which isn't showering children with treats.

"I love my dog more anyone could love a human child." That statement alone speaks a lot about the kind of person you are lol.
