Lmao this is so interesting because I switched math from red to blue when I started liking it and getting good grades. Red then went to history because of all the wars, death, and struggle.
I find it fascinating that we are assigning it not only different colors, but for different reasons. Like I never even considered that people would assign a physical meaning to the colors they chose, math just "tastes" blue to me.
I associate green with Math because it was the class for me that used the chalk board the most, going up to write equations. I associate Science with purple because it reminds me of galaxies and a purple planet. Social studies with blue because of the globe being mostly oceans and rivers.

Green is science (chloroplasts>plants>ecosystems), the rest I don't have strong opinions on. I tended to use blue for history (oceans crossed, Union uniforms), red for math (left me enraged, because it was far and away my most difficult subject), purple for electives because they were fun, and yellow for English/language arts by process of elimination.
I don't know of any purple planets? I associate Mercury with brown, Venus with bright yellow, Earth with blue and green, Mars red, Jupiter orange and red, Saturn with unsaturated, warm-toned yellow, Neptune and Uranus with blue, and (since it was a planet when I was a kid) white or light gray with Pluto.
Yes for me geography was always blue. Science green. English red. History yellow. I guess I hated math so much I dont remember what color it was 😂😂 I think I had it as blue before geography got introduced as a separate subject and then just used different shades of blue for geography and math.
I feel like sometimes we could come in with a yellow for writing, when reading and writing are separate, now it's ELA though so I'd say red. Social studies, yellow. But those two are more fluid to me.

Everyone knows math is blue!
