Inuyasha

Inuyasha is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. I find the way he has to juggle his trauma/guilt over Kikyo, learning to make connections with others, overcoming his demonic nature, and trying to protect his friends while having to fight Sesshomaru and Naraku very compelling. His overprotectiveness over Kagome along with his other dog mannerism are both wholesome and hilarious to watch/read. Seeing his character development of growing to accept himself as a hanyō was great. I don't think people talk enough about how sad this dude's life was until he met Kagome. The only positive interaction he had in his childhood was with his mom and she died before he was even 15 forcing Inuyasha to fend for himself for potentially over a century in a world where everyone wanted him dead (besides Myoga). The amount of development that Kagome was able to influence for Inuyasha in the span of a year is massively underrated.

I grew up loving the Inuyasha series and admiring Sesshromaru. I’m happy that my tattoo artist finished the outline of my Sesshromaru back tattoo! So far it looks great and 2-3 more sessions my back tattoo will be completed :-)

Started this in June and got it finished this afternoon! Took about 17 hours over 3 sessions. Super happy with the result ❤️

I know the fanart is a shipping one, but I always wanted Kagome’s skirt to look exactly like this and exactly that length. Her super short skirt was just weird and looked so out of place, the longer skirt in this fanart looks much better and much more elegant. I said what I said, the fanart was found in Pinterest.

Personally, I adore this bald monk. Every time he gets a new master to train under, they always die gruesomely 😭

It seems weird that Sesshomaru married Rin who he first met as when she was 10(?) It would have been more natural if she had married Kohaku with the blessing of Sesshomaru, her guardian and “acting dad” no?

I quickly sketched this for accuracy!

this is what II’ll go with ! Any thoughts or ideas ? I’m in love with Naraku, since I already have one tattoo of him, , I believe this is appropriate to complement the sleeve :3

all the ones i have so far!

i’d like your guys opinions of my inuyasha sleeve tattoos. I want to get this tattoo of Kana with the mirror, but I want to add something or someone in the mirrors reflection. I’m just not sure what would fit perfectly yet ! any ideas or suggestions would really help me out !

also check out my school days tattoo! will be adding color soon! and color coming to sessomaru soooon!

Love it!

I don't know how many times I've read in the fandom the interpretation that "Kagome is Kikyo in another life where she can be a normal woman and be with Inuyasha." I had already made a post with information from the manga wideban version where Rumiko explaining that Kikyo's "other life" occurred when she was resurrected in a clay body and NOT as Kagome and now I’m going to use information from the regular manga and the profile book as well.

In the manga chapter about Kikyo's resurrection, Kikyo herself runs away because she doesn't want Kagome to take back the soul still remaining within her and the reason is that if those souls returned to Kagome's body it would mean Kikyo's death, as she would no longer be herself. Kikyo refuses to die and decides to remain "alive" within the clay body. That is the point Rumiko refers to in the wideban version of the manga: Kikyo living her second life in the clay body and she developed her character until she dies for the last time saying that she could finally be a normal woman her soul rested in peace.

The profile book also makes it clear that Kikyo is a dead person and that the only way for her to be with Inuyasha was for both of them to die together, which is why she tried to drag Inuyasha down to hell with her. It also explains that Kikyo envies Kagome's life and even tried to attack her.

In conclusion: Kagome was NOT written to be Kikyo's "other life" and neither "her second chance to be with Inuyasha." Rumiko wrote the exact opposite of that. Therefore, this interpretation is incorrect, and as a Kagome fan, I find it frustrating that people in the fandom can't separate Kagome from Kikyo and Kikyo fans even use her as a consolation for their fav character's death and their failed ship with Inuyasha.

what do you guys think of my Naraku? I saw it on Google images and decided to go with it 😄

With the next anime sub season seemingly to be confirmed next month, I've been wondering what the probability of Rumiko (or whoever is in charge of any new Inuyasha content as a whole) actually approving of such a collaboration. I feel like if Inuyasha is to finally come to Fortnite THIS would be the perfect opportunity to do it.

Or possibly…. Intentionally? Especially bottom Left

But those intro songs are straight fire!

Doing my biennial re watch of the Inuyasha series (the og series/final act plus movies and Yashahime) and while Inuyasha has some absolutely beautiful songs, Yashahime and intro/outro songs were banggerrsss. Also that Setsuna violin song is so beautiful i regularly listen to it while working.

inuyasha really is one of the best animes ever in terms of atmospheric immersion. the use of music and color and sound effects really treansports the viewer. almost all the osts used are literally orchestral and so full of emotion. and ofc the ops and ed are soo good. it all sounds very ornate yet the colors, and art style are quite simple/childlike. its a juxtaposition thats kind of hypnotic if that makes sense like. there is heart in the show fr.

Ok, so Miroku says that Naraku can take forms and sometimes he has the form of a woman.

But then we find out he was just some thug from 50 years go, when was he a woman?
